   The place looks great after an extensive refurbishment, could be a bit prettier outside. I was expecting great food from the recent extensive social media presence, my chicken salad was very disappointing, the main salad was smaller than the side salad, the Parmesan shavings were missing and the chicken was very plain. At nearly £15 I would have expected a lot more than that!!!!

   The surroundings are lovely with a refurbished and modern pub set beside a pretty stream. However, apart from the child’s fish goujons and chips, the food was somewhat disappointing. The mussels were fine but were served with white sliced bread. When it was mentioned that the menu said they would come with sourdough bread, some different bread was brought, but this did not appear to be sourdough either. The pasta dish was cold and the tomato and red pepper soup was just not very pleasant. I asked for some sugar to counteract the tartness which improved it slightly, but the chef should surely have tasted it and made some changes. Sadly we would not recommend the resent menu.

   Our first time back at the “new look” Coventry Arms. Venue is spacious and modern but still with the pub nooks and crannies. Food was excellent ( scallops then Linguini and trout) and at a fair price for this standard. Service was also great setting a friendly atmosphere in the venue.

   Beau was our waiter, accompanied by Jo if needed, as we were a big table. The service was outstanding, so very attentive. The homemade savoury and cream teas were freshly prepared and delicious, and the birthday brownie was a lovely touch! We will be back!! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

    Had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Coventry Arms. Faultless service, staff welcoming and very friendly. Dining room was spotlessly clean. The Sunday roast was very tasty and great value for money. Beautiful setting with a lovely outside seating area. Will definitely be returning again soon.

    There was a lovely atmosphere at The Coventry Arms, the service was excellent, the staff were very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The meal was very good except the beans and mange tout were a bit undercooked for my liking although I appreciate people like them Al Dente. There was a good selection of veg with the Sunday lunch. I would definitely recommend this place.

    This was our second visit. Ate in the conservatory which was lovely. It was very quiet for a Saturday night. Wanted the fillet steak but thought it too pricey at £40 so ordered the mussels instead. They were ok. Scallop starter was good.

    Second visit in a week tells you how much we enjoy the Riverside. Sunday lunch is amazing! Staff are so helpful and fully supportive of various food allergies. Certainly be going back!

    My husband & I love it here, we visit very regularly. We are always made to feel welcome and valued by the staff. The service is polite but friendly too, the food is delicious and well priced. Thank you for bringing some life back into this pub.

    Lovely contrast between the bar and cosy bar area with blazing fire burning and the large, airy, and stylish conservatory. Lovely ambiance in both areas and the outdoor area beyond the conservtory leading down to the river bank will be particularly favoured in the summer. Reasonable choice on the menu and we all enjoyed our meals.

    We came for Sunday lunch on a recommendation from a good friend and we were not disappointed. Service was attentive without being 'too much' and the quality and presentation of our food was excellent- we will definitely be going again. We sat in the conservatory which was light bright and looked out over the garden towards the river.

    We had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch here. The roast beef was very good. That three of the table ordered. I am vegan, so obviously there is only one main course for me and one starter. Although it is nice, it’s not outstanding and the vegan option hasn’t changed since I’ve been coming here. So I would like to come more often, but not until there is a bit more choice for me. Overall, it is a lovely venue and the food is good on the hold.
