Tuscan Steak Salad

breaded crispy chicken strips, fries, plum sauce
Came for the 3 course menu. Our server was friendly. One of the appetizer was the seafood chowder which was too salty for me, but it did have lots of seafood inside. One person in the group chose the mushroom ravioli. This had a very tasty truffle sauce. Main course had lobster and steak. Lobster was cooked so so. Very mushy lobster meat. Could be bad quality of lobsters? Steak was good. One person in the group ordered the lamb shank. This was really tasty and meat was tender.
Disappointed at the dessert. Was supposed to be a chocolate fountain buffet. However due to the COVID19, they took that away. Instead, each person got a small bowl of melted chocolate and some sweets (lady finger, marshmallow, mini waffle balls, more sweet rice krispies etc) to dip. Personally that was way too sweet for me. Would much prefer fruits to dip rather than sweets.
Washroom was kind of smelly. Please clean up the bathroom!
Good food, good service, excellent.
Good food & service. Will be back again!
Our server was excellent!!! Food was okey compared to last time we were there i think the serving got smaller. But overall its a good experience with 3kids (theyre very friendly)!!
The 3 course meal was delicious. Steak was tender, the kale veggie was perfect. The seafood chowder was yummy
wonderful location, staff & food. Will be going back again March 5th with other friends
Great food and service as usual!
I ordered BBQ Lamb Shank of the three course menu. It didn't meet my expectation. I think the meat has no flavour and the BBQ source didn't go well with the meat. Shrimp salad is extraordinary.
A bit on the pricey side for lunch. Interesting menu.
Food was awesome! 3 course dining with chocolate fountain buffet style desert including Lobster and steak was delicious! We will be back soon.
Lots of easy parking. Simple, good quality menu. Very reasonable prices.
Very nice atmosphere. Food is good but could be better. Steak is bit too the tough side
Good experience! For the value, the food is excellent ! The sauce of the entree is a bit salty & no surprises! Wish the chef can try to improve his sauces by making his own instead of an ordinary quick fit from the power!
A beautiful & relaxing place to dine. We ordered the Salmon Salad with corn, edamame beans, different types of lettuce and a delicious dressing, and the Chicken Tenders with Fries. Both were very tasty. With great service and a lovely ambiance what more could we ask for.
Riverway Restaurant is a fantastic location for amazing delicious food at a very great value! Great space for coming with a large group or even a romantic meal with your significant other. Friendly service! 100% will return again soon!
The atmosphere was great and the food was better, and also the service was top notch.
Nice place to chat & dine. Not a lot of tables so it’s quiet, definitely nice view during daytime as we can see the lake from the glass door.
We ordered New York steak that comes with truffle fries, a bit disappointed about the fries as it’s not flavour, didn’t taste the truffle at all, maybe would be better if it cuts thick so that it won’t get cold that fast too. The Seafood linguine was good, fresh !
Overall nice experience, was my first time visit, would like to come again during summer so we can dine at the patio area.
Excellent really enjoyed lunch. Food was great. Looking forward to returning.
Overall is great except I requested a window seat as my hubby's birthday but did not get one.
My server was great, thanks her!
Always enjoy our times at Riverway - food and service is excellent. Atmosphere is great for visiting and chatting. Is on our list of go-to places.
Very slow service. Hosts at front door were confused about the reservation even though I saw my name, table of 4 for 6:45pm on the guest list. Two of us ordered salads for dinner - those arrived and 10 minutes later the hot meals arrived. Lamb was drowning in bbq sauce. Corn and Salmon salad served over arugula - dry - the dressing needed to be tossed in and marinated to soften the leaves. Nice server but really slow in taking drink order and bringing to the table. Nice ambiance.
Service was alright but not attentive. Overall poor food execution.
> overfried coconut shrimps which tasted like the frozen one from Costco. It served with some kind of an Asian preserved bean sauce which tasted awful with the coconut shrimps.
> cocoa & coffee rubbed chicken breast without any cocoa & coffee taste at all.
> seafood linguine was salty.
> we were charged extra $2.00 for cheese to sprinkle on top of the linguine!!!!!
We got the $35 three course meal. Very good deal for what you get. I ordered seafood chowder for start, steak+lobster as main and there’s a chocolate buffet to choose from for dessert
A great meal and atmosphere.
DoV menu was amazing. really outside the box desserts. The poke was really fun to eat.
We will come again.
Great friendly, attentive and cheerful service from Kevin. Food is consistently good as is the service.
I was luckily able to reserve for the holiday brunch buffet this December. The decorations were a lovely addition to the stunning architecture of the restaurant.
Some things to note:
Upon my arrival, the staff approached my friend and me to say that the restaurant was closed for a special event without checking whether or not we had made reservations first. That already made me feel a bit unwelcome. And although I did not request for special seating, there was an strange occurrence where we were led to a table and told "Oh. This seat was reserved for you" and was told another staff had relocated another couple to that seat. We had to strangely stand there while the manager (?) and staff talked it out. I didn't mind, but if they didn't tell us the seat was reserved in the first place, I wouldn't be as bothered.
The food was nicely labelled and prepared. Although I wish the same effort was placed for the dessert table as it was 1) placed in a isolated location down the hall 2) the dessert was only simple labelled "Holiday desserts. May contain traces of nuts, diary...." rather than having the staff spend more time to label each dessert. I was also little upset with the turkey, since it was on the dry side - despite it being a special holiday event, you would think more effort would be put in ensuring it's quality.
Came for the holiday brunch buffet. For the price, the quality and quantity of food was very good. Service is great as usual, very attentive. Always dishes cleared. Like the quiet atmosphere and the lookout onto the course.
Always loved there $29 3 course meal event! The restaurant has a beautiful setting and vibe also.
The service was spotty. Our server didn't spend any time explaining anything to us. Her English was only rudimentary. Water was pour into glasses and she scuttled off without saying a word. Not asking us if we wanted anything else. The food was only Ok. A casear salad can vary widely. Mine was at the low end of Ok. No Bacon bits, or anchovies, tasteless croutons, and not enough dressing or parmesan cheese. And way too much food. I could not eat it all. Nor could my friend. It seems a shame to waste food in this day and age. My advice; improve the quality of the food and cut back on the amount served. Also, better training for the staff.
Now I was a 2nd time at this location and was very satisfied. My friend which I had invitied had recomandet this palce already.
I surprised my boyfriend by taking him out for the 3 course menu and he was quite pleased and happy. It was also my first time dining at the restaurant and i was treated with exceptional utmost resonating quality service! Highly recommend this place. The decor is also really magical and pretty. Washrooms are well maintained. Which is a bonus!
Excellent service from server Tuccy- friendly, cheerful, and very attentive to all our needs. So nice to have Kevin also come to welcome us. Food is great tasting and very generous portions. So nice to have a meal in
such a pleasant, quiet surrounding and at such a reasonable price.
Yes, we were thinking of have a big family gathering at the end of the year, but when I called to make reservation, I was told that Riverway will be closed during the holiday time, and we were all quite disappointed.
The 3-course dinner special is an excellent value. The food is delicious and the price is excellent. The ambiance is very nice. Lots of free parking outside. Service was a bit slow to start but the food came quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great service. Amble space for a comfortable dining experience. Good selection of drinks. The food was good overall but the steak was not on par.
Yes I would recommend it. I’ve already referred friends!
Courteous staff; attentive service; fair execution of quality food.
However, the carbonara is a disappointment due to lack of eggs & flavor. For $23, I have tasted a lot better than this.
Love the 3-course menu. Always a treat
Our server Kevin was very attentive and thoughtful. We would definitely go back again.
