   By far and consistently the best dining experience you can have in downtown Ottawa. We love LOVE Riviera. Mushroom Toast, Oysters, Grilled Octopus, Halibut, Steak, and Pavlova to wrap it up. Never mind all the good cocktails and wine. 10/10 all the way.

   First time there, very very loud which is sad. The food was well present, but overcook which is surprising for the quality of the restaurant. Service okay, the waiter didn't talk that much, but were present. This place was recommend by friend, we will if you enjoy loud place. No, if not

   Went for a solo date night. Sat at the chefs pass, and enjoyed watching the cooks prepare the food. A very memorable experience thanks to the attentive staff and good food. There are options for vegetarians. I had the citrus salad and raviolo. Will return.

    I called in advance to ask if they could accommodate one of the guests that have food allergy. The person I talked to said YES. The message was not forwarded so my friend had one choice of appetizer and one choice of main course, minus that sauce. The server told us at the end of the meal: « if we had known ahead of time, we could have done a better job ». Not happy of this. Will likely not go back.

    The drinks were outstanding. Top flight. Kudos to the mixoligist. Brilliant. The food lacked the impact of the drinks from a flavour perspective. The food was good but could have been better. My past dining experiences at Riviera have been better.

    10/10 as always. Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable. So happy they carry a non-alcoholic sparkling! Dinner was delicious but it was the dessert that blew us all away!

    Great service and food! Wonderful cocktails and desserts! A little too warm for comfort, with the heat outside combined with flaming open kitchen inside. Maybe there should be fans to help circulate air?

    The service here was great with multiple staff attending to us, even while we were just dining at the bar. The cocktail list was a mile long and so much fun just to explore. Food was delicious. Music and atmosphere was perfect. It was lively but not too loud. Pricey but worth it. Looking forward to going back again!

    Excellent food but small portions given the hefty price. Poorly coordinated and borderline rude service: my dining companion was still eating and three different staff came to ask him if he was finished. I understand that patrons have now a limited time to eat (!!!) to maximize the number of services but come on ! This legacy of Covid times is annoying and rude. For a 200$ diner minimum we should be able to finish our plates.

    I LOVE Riviera for all life's little special celebrations and was delighted to introduce my son and brother to this special spot. The place was hopping and had a great vibe when we visited this long weekend. The food was outstanding and Count Bassie's cocktails NEVER disappoint.

    I really appreciate that you moved us from the bar to a table. A party of 3 at the bar means that one person is always left out of the conversation. When we arrived, we found that we had been booked at the bar. I had wanted an indoor table and thought that was what I was getting. I appreciate the effort to move us. Thank you.

    This is definitely a top tier destination for foodies and cocktail aficionados! a very impressive cocktail list - creative meets the classics, and a quality wine list. Most of all we appreciated quality service - very knowledgeable and attentive. Vibe is energetic and lively. Might be good for a business dinner [if you're good with a slightly loud scene], but it's a definite destination for a date and fun friends and family nites out - and a place for celebration.     Fantastic dinner at the bar. The drinks were delicious, the food was brought out well paced and was SO delicious. Even though we were seated at the bar, it still felt intimate and well spaced (not crammed or impeding on someone else's conversation). They made us feel special and appreciated the entire time.     I have been a few times always been great this time I think the server assistants were all over us trying to clear drinks plates that weren’t empty as soon as we put our fork done I feel they were being instructed to do so. I would also say the person who ordered the ravioli was Uber disappointed it was more of an appetizer than a meal. One small piece of ravioli.

    Worth every penny. Noise level was a bit loud at first but we think they may have turned it down. Cocktails were unique and delicious, nice wine from Prince Edward County. Food selection absolutely amazing! Best part of you need more convincing- service- attentive, on the ball, perfect pace, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for a great evening.

    Riviera’s service sets the bar very high, it’s an incredible experience offered by a caring, passionate and attentive team. The food is amazing, it’s on the expensive side but you know that already going in so no biggie there. The quality, execution and conceptualisation of the plates are beyond reproach and flavour/texture wise, it was delicious! The drink card and mezcal selection are simply legendary, much Riviera’s renown mixer Mr. Flood. Finally we were helped by many people in the 2ish hours we were there but none more awesome, generous and attentive as Andrew. From his advice and guidance in navigating the mezcal world to his epic skills creating memorable fancy af coffee, he contributed greatly in making our evening one to remember. ❤️ Riviera

    Still one of my fav places in Ottawa. Very different menu this time round. Have preferred other versions of their menu. Had the lamb shank and it was beautifully done. But didn’t really fancy much else. Still very good though.
