This was our first time here, and we decided to try the restaurant here based on the reviews online. My husband and I had our date night here and we both loved the food and the experience here! My husband is a picky person when it comes to food and he even said he’d come back here again! We did the “date night menu” it was perfect for the two of us! -perfect price too. We love our server too, she was so on top of if! (I’m sorry I didn’t get your name) Thank you so much we will definitely come back again!
Robba Da Matti May be the closest you can get to a taste of Italy in Vancouver. Highly recommend
I took my son here for his 22nd birthday and what a beautiful delicious meal. We shared the bruschetta. Wonderful salty ham slices with fig jam and Gorgonzola cheese.
We both had the seafood risotto. Incredible taste in every bite and dessert was panacotta and tiramisu. Both excellent. The ambiance was awesome, the food was incredible. The only negative thing about it was that my night had to come to an end.
Thank you to the chefs and the servers for making my night one to remember. I will be back !!
Excellent food, great flavours. Lovely ambiance but a little cold in the winter in the outdoor area (drafty). Service was good. Wine is overly expensive. Definitely worth a visit for the food.
This is our favorite Italan restaurant in Vancouver. A real family run pasta place. My only knock is I dont like their wine choices. But for $10 corkage, I bring my own.
The service and the pasta at Robba Da Matti is the best. I love it there ... its my favorite restaurant!
We had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing as it has been consistently every time we go in.
Keep the service great.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Keep up the magnificent work!

Cozy, very attentive service and great food! Nonna would be proud! Location is convenient but it’s small.
The patio is great when the weather permits, would love to see this little restaurant grow!
The service and the food were very good.
We were celebrating my birthday and they gave me a delicious Panna Cotta and sang me happy birthday
Thanks to all
Accomdated to birthday patio is warm but a bit tight on space servers were beautiful and professional food was as expected
This is my second time going to this restaurant for the Dine Out Vancouver event. The food was fantastic very authentic Italian food and the service was great. I will definitely be returning.
My first impression of the service was not a good one. I had called ahead to see if the restaurant was okay with us bringing a baby in a car seat and they said that our party size would be guaranteed bench seating so it would not be a problem. When we arrived, we were seated in the center of the outdoor patio with no bench in sight. At first, I just asked for an extra chair so the car seat didn't have to rest on the cold floor but they forgot or ignored my request so we took a chair from a neighboring table. I asked since there were two tables available where the benches were if we could simply swap tables. For some bizarre reason, the female server kept staring at the empty tables and couldn't comprehend how it would be possible to switch 2 tables with another 2 tables.
The rest of our dining experience was mediocre, other than the carpaccio, which was delicious. The ravioli wasn't well cooked and the panna cotta has defrosted fruit on top. The male server we had was nice and had a good sense of humor, but I will not be attending this restaurant again based on the lack of accommodating service and quality of food.
If your restaurant does not accommodate young families, simply just tell them.
I would recommend this Restaurant for someone who would like to try authentic home-made Italian cuisine. The portions were fair, and the food was served nice and hot. It is quite small, so would highly suggest making a reservation. I will certainly will be going back, and will try Lunch next time.
I’m one word, “fabulous”! Some of the best food we’ve had in a while and the service was spectacular! Honestly, at least five different staff checked on us, filled our water glasses etc, like being taken care of by the entire team.
Inside the restaurant, it is very small and cozy. There is however a patio which pretty much doubles the seating area. The food was fairly good, and for Dine-Out the value was pretty decent. All in all, a good experience.
Tasty Italian food for a good price. Nice for causal or a date night.
Love this place. Real. Authentic.
Excellent food as always! One of the best Italian restaurants in the city!
We went there recently for dine out, the place is really friendly. The night we went was super busy, but they were still able to keep their food quality & service standards high. Would definitely go back to try their regular menu.
Loved it ! I’ve been a few times and it is always delish ...
I loved everything about this place and will def go back. My only concern was the noises which were too loud.
A taste of Italy for sure! One paste in particular tasted like my mothers...Thanks
Came here for a romantic dinner out with the husband and we were blown away from start to finish. After reading many positive reviews we had to experience it ourselves, and we can honestly say it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Service - amazing! Food - amazing! I’m salavating as I am typing this out!
MUST TRY!!
Lovely place and delicious food! Feels just like you’re in Italy. Very intimate and welcoming family restaurant ! Will be coming back 😊
Best pasta I have ever had. Home made pasta cooked perfectly. Family operation with mom cooking and children helping as wait staff. Great accommodating service.
Although we elected to eat inside. We were both cold partially due to the door to the patio open.
Blankets should be offered to inside guests, especially on those really chilly nights.
Lots of pasta selections. Great burrata! Had the date night special.
Truly authentic and amazing Italian food, it tastes like it would in Italy.
The server was very attentive and super nice. Pleasant experience, great food. Would come again.
The server Sara was lovely and the food was delicious. We had a large group and everything was wonderful.
The chef on sundays and tuesdays will not make any modifications. I am gluten free and asked for one of their pasta to be substituted for the gluten free pasta noodles. She refused. I was not impressed at all.
The chef on the other days is wonderful though. Just not the one that cooks on Tuesday’s and sundays
The food was great and distinctly home made. The gluten free options were really appreciated by 2 members of our party. We sat on the patio and it was cold, especially those seats closest to the sidewalk. Overhead heaters work to a degree and the blankets helped but feet remained cold. Good, friendly service. I'd like to go back and sit inside!
Food is always excellent and arguably better than the top top expensive italian restaurants in town — and at a reasonable price for great food. Friendly service every time - no snooty attitude from the service staff. One of our go-to favorite restaurant in the Vancouver core.
Small, cold, and crowded is how I would describe this restuarant. My table for 2 sat by the cashier and side-entrance to the patio area, which was left open so it was very cold. We felt crowded as the servers would constantly bump into us when coming in and out of the patio area. Our server was unenthusaistic and had no recommendations, suggestions, or opinion on anything. Bland, much like the food.
Another fantastic time. But we had a table outside and despite the heater and blankets, it was still cold so it made the experience a little less comfortable. Wished we could have sat inside but other than that, still had a great time with good food.
Made reservation and was seated outdoors in Winter on a windy night. I asked to be moved indoors and they told me that those tables were reserved. They eventually accommodated indoors. Three meals were prepared very nicely. One pasta dish was not cooked enough (tougher than al dente).
I would recommend this place on a warm summer night. Unfortunately I was there on a cold December evening and the blanket and outdoor heater were severely inadequate. The food itself was good. Service staff appeared overworked for the number of patrons and the place was too cramped.
Excellent in every single way. From the quality of the ingredients to the service. One of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver. Period.
Robba da Matti is the best Italian restaurant in Vancouver. I have sent so many out of Towners there for
Dinner 🥘 and they loved it.Will always go there.thank you.
