Small restaurant, big experience. Excellent restaurant, amazing food and fun place. Serving staff are amazing and enhance the experience - watch the action in the small kitchen, like a precision ballet how they prepare such awesome food in such a small space.

You’ve got to try the Bruschetta Leccese. Amazing combo of tastes: Gorgonzola, fig marmalade, toasted pine nuts and prosciutto. Gracie!

Great food. Friendly staff. Love the patio.
Disappointed we had to wait for our table for 30 minutes though. Authentic European experience I suppose?!
Will definitely go back though. Wines are great and food delicious

Food here is some of the best this side of the Atlantic for authentic Italian food. Wife loves that any of the pastas can be made fresh/gluten-free. Do wish the wine options by the glass were more extensive but will definitely come back (again)!

Small little restaurant but impressive:
1. Very friendly staffs (Spanish).
2. Good pasta. Ordered 4 different pastas to try. The squid-ink pasta was a little to rich with cream base for my personal liking.

Very happy to have met Christina the chef who was most charming and friendly.
Look forward to try again.

Cozy and authentic Italian eatery. A busy spot, which speaks to the quality (and value) of the food. Unfortunately, service was sub-standard. Our waiter was very inattentive to our table from the start. Drink order was very delayed and delivery of those drinks took quite a long time. When we requested to order our entre he told us he would get our order when he/the kitchen was ready. Basically, if we wanted anything we had to flag him down. To top it off, our table of 6 was charged an 18% gratuity fee which was automatically added to our bill. Great restaurant for the food and ambiance but failing grades on service based on our visit.

I went to Robba da Matti for dinner on Saturday night with some friends and, consistent with my previous visit here, the food and service was great! I ordered the Lobster and Crab Ravioli (with fresh tomato's, arugula, and prawns) and the dish was absolutely delicious! I didn't feel like drinking wine, but will note that they do have an extensive list. I ended up drinking their Bar wells (i.e. high-balls), and I have to say, single high-balls at $5 in Yaletown is unheard of, so I was very impressed. The server assigned to our table was also fabulous; she mentioned that she was Spaniard and, as I plan to go to Spain this summer, she was very open with sharing places to go visit, which I really appreciated. Overall - I had a great experience. I will definitely come back!

This is my favorite restaurant. Ran by Italians, they are cooking and serving. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful. The inside is small, however you are right in the action. Watching them cook and prepare. It's a must! Mangiare!!!

Coming from Italy I can say that food and recipies are 100% authentic and traditional. When you go to Robba da matti you feel like you're at your nonna's (grandma's) place for an amazing home-cooked meal! I'll go back there for sure. Highly recommended!

We had a little table by the window, looking out onto the patio. It’s a very small restaurant with an open kitchen. The pancetta and buratta appetizer was delicious. We share the pappardelle was fresh with a meaty sauce. We loved the whole experience.

Absolutely worth it! Great food, really tasty and perfect portions. The “date” deal ( $122) was perfect as you get a three course
Meal for two and a bottle
Of wine .... Staff was incredibly friendly and really chilled/relaxed with us (we stayed later than closing time ) would definitely go again!

Great pasta dishes, but the carpaccio has way too much garlic, which tasted powdered. Simply not nice. Service excellent. Will definitely return but won’t do that carpaccio thing again.

Some of the best authentic Italian cooking I’ve had outside of Italy. A starter of Insalata Romana followed by Rissoto Pecatora, which paired beautifully with a Tuscan red wine. Crusty bread and a small bowl of baby olives come with the service. If you’re used to sticky rissoto with heaps of cheese and butter or olive oil served with your bread you will be disappointed. Those are typically what one gets when eating in North America. The meal we had was as close as it gets to eating in Italy.

It's easy to miss it but look harder and you'll see it. Loved this Italian restaurant in Yaletown. I had my birthday dinner here and went back weeks later for another taste. The second time, we ordered their fixed menu which included a bottle of wine. A pretty decent value, I thought. I look forward to trying more of their pasta dishes one day.

Went there for Dine Out 2018. We ordered the Bruschetta for appetizer. The Gorgonzola cheese balanced perfectly with the fig jam and prosciutto, and the toasted pine nuts gave a nice finishing touch. Very generous amount of food for an appetizer as well. I got the lobster and crab ravioli, you can definitely taste the seafood, the filling was creamy and delicious. My friend got the Pappardelle Rosche Rosche, it was a little too salty but the pasta was cooked perfectly. The tiramisu and panna cotta were not too sweet and was the perfect ending. We both left feeling really full, which is not common for Dine Out menus. The only downside to this whole meal was that the Prosecco was a bit flat and not chilled. Our server was very attentive, and even though the space was small and a bit noisy during prime dinner hours, we could still hear each other well enough without shouting. We both agreed it was an overall great experience and we would definitely come back for the regular menu too.

My wife and I will travel from White Rock to go to This Yaletown favourite. The food is excellent and well priced and the staff makes you feel like you are at home. “Mamma” has brought her homemade Italian recipes from Italy to Vancouver. The staff are from Italy 🇮🇹 and Spain 🇪🇸 And the food is amazing. My wife says that their linguine vongole is the best she has ever had. We have brought many friends there over the years and they have always been pleased. Give it a try. You’ll be happy you did.

The food was good for the most part but the papardelle was quite salty. I also found the interior of the restaurant to be quite constricted and the tables too close to the kitchen.

Very disappointing...

They started off by serving a small bowl of pitted olives, which I thought was very different and nice. They served cold bread with no butter or olive oil? I had to ask for butter.

For a starter we had the beef tenderion carpaccio, the beef was ok, they were perfectly round in shape, seemed like something i could of purchased at the store and did at home. It came with a super vinegar salad on top, it was way too sour for my liking.

We were very disappointed in the pasta. I ordered the carbonara, which is one of my fave pasta dishes where ever I go. It was extremely salty and had so much pepper, you may as well call it a pepper sauce. They told me it's an original recipe from Rome, I call BS on that! We also ordered the pappardelle "rosche rosche" it was better than the carbonara by far but still too salty.

For dessert we had the chocolate mousse which was good, but the tiramisu was not set properly, it was like melted ice cream.

Overall, we were quite disappointed. There are a lot of better pasta places in town, I doubt we'll ever come back here.

This place is quite petit! As soon as you walk in, you see a small kitchen with white tiles and wooden spoons hanging, a small bar with a selection of fine wines that are to pair with every dish and a tiny espresso machine to have with your dessert, making everything feel truly authentic and cozy. The staff are social and fun, chefs always staring at the plates coming back. Empty plate happy face. Overall super neat spot, the food is fantastic. Dine out menu is definitely one to remember.
