Very nice environment and even better staff. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back to have their mozzarella again!!
The food was tasty and the service was great. I would recommend anyone to come if they like Italian food.
Great food. Fresh quality ingredients. Capable and attentive service. Highly recommended.
It is my favourite hole in the wall italian joint with absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend
Incredible service, food and ambience. We celebrated our anniversary and they gave us some champagne to celebrate! The date night meal is a must have, we'll be back for sure!
Felt like I was in Sicily. This place created a beautiful ambience for me and my friends. I would go back any day of the week. The food was authentic Italian and well made. Wow! Is what I would say.
Always a pleasure! Prosciutto & Burrata and the Paaprdelle are a fave.
Love Robba da Matta. It’s like a little trip to Italy. Feels very family and the food and service is excellent!
Amazing as usual. Awesome service by Vincenzo. And the food was perfectly flavoured and cooked. Will be going again soon.
Had another wonderful experience. As we were celebrating an anniversary, we were presented with two glasses of lovely prosecco on the house. Pappardelle Rosche Rosche is our perennial favourite. Bravo et gracie!
The food was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. Great service!
My boyfriend and I’s experience at Robba da Matti was nothing short of wonderful! The service was stellar, with our server welcoming us with his warm disposition and helpful tips on what to order. Our prosciutto and burrata appetizer was exceptional, and our bruschetta reminded me of my time on the Amalfi Coast! Our entree’s were also delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Always great service
It was great and tasty as always.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday and everything was outstanding.
Everything was amazing!!!! Great service and amazing food in a very cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Great food and service as always!
Great service! Great covid precautions. Yummy food.
We asked to sit in the outside areas due to Covid but it was not very inviting. There were heaters which was nice but the ambiance was definitely lacking. The food was pretty good but not spectacular. The appetizers were better than the pasta. For pasta, we would definitely be going elsewhere next time. The waiter was lovely and it was a great evening but for Italian we probably won’t go back.
Went for the summer dineout that was running. I had one of the 3 course options and my husband picked from the menu. The food was very tasty except they chef really liked olive oil, it was quality oil however I had the carpaccio and it was rather saturated and then my pasta also had a healthy amount. I am not a huge oil fan but the flavours were still good. Service was great. We sat on the patio which even on a rainy day was still comfortable. It was our first time dining here but we hope to return.
Great food and service.
Food and drinks are amazing. Only one sever was on. He was managing all the tables. However, would highly recommend!
We enjoyed our dinner at Robba da Matti a lot! Our waiters was a young man from Italy and he was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and fresh and we will return! We especially enjoyed the open air deck and the fact that it was very quiet!
good time with friends
Everything from the service to the food was impeccable. It's a very cozy spot with limited seating but it's worth it! The server we had was very professional and gave wonderful recommendations. What impressed me the most was the care and extra precautions the staff was taking during covid! I highly highly recommend this little gem!
Amazing food and service
This is a tiny restaurant with less tables inside than fingers on one hand.
Although staff was friendly, it was impossible to feel as if you had any space to yourself. We sat next to three men loudly discussing the most disgusting American President in history while we as Americans visited Canada to get away from it for a few days.
The food was OK, but nothing that could not be made better at home.
The bread was rather dry, and wine was expensive.
All in all - rather disappointing evening.
The highlight was the chocolate mousse.
It was light and creamy.
Good food, nice place, happy servers, good price!
Great food and great service as usual. Yousef and Chris are the best!
Short staffed so service was definitely spotty — regularly having to search for our waiter. Annoying.
We had an amazing night, we received exceptional service from our waiter. The best in a long time.
Can't say enough about this place. A small, somewhat underrated restaurant nestled on Mainland Street that serves what we think is close to authentic Italian cuisine.
Have you ever lived the "Ratatouille" experience where Remy's dish takes Anton Ego back to his childhood in one bite? That's what happened with the experience here, but it took us back to when we visited Italy. In one word, authentic or pretty damn close to.
Without going into specifics, one highlight is their burrata from Puglia is used in a few of their appetizers and you can taste that it has that creamy aftertaste that lingers in the back of your mouth that dairy here locally can't match - a signature of any European dairy product it seems. Perfectly matched with prosecco.
The pasta we had was their signature pappardelle with Italian sausage, short ribs and free range chicken. With those ingredients, pasta cooked perfectly and ragu with amarone wine reminded us of our time in Italy. Anton Ego moment.
We also had the osso buco with risotto. Of course in this city (Vancouver), its all about being superficial and some may be unhappy at the look of this dish but let's be clear here, this is the way it should be done. Absolutely tasty and the risotto is cooked perfectly.
Dessert consisted of the classic tiramisu and panna cotta which again is very close to the real thing.
The atmosphere with the open kitchen really gets you close to the action and as a result, some of the smells of the food made you want to change your order (in a good way of course). The staff are knowledgeable and engaging which goes a long way too. This is the place to go for what we think is one of places you can call "authentic." Definitely will be back.
The food was wonderful; the best proscuitto I think I've ever had and I've been to Italy lots of times. also the burrata was superb. It is a very tiny restaurant but they made room for our table of five. i would not want to try to crowd any more than that in, unless it was summer and the patio was desirable. Overall the food experience was notable !
WE LOVE VINCENZO
Small and quaint. Some of the tables for 2 are in awkward spots But worth the good food. Not much for protein, great pasta.
Amazing like always.
This was our third visit to Robba Da Matti and like every other visit they did not disappoint. We live this restaurant and would take anyone there whether it’s family, friends or business clients. Food is delicious, hot, fresh, authentic. Service was excellent.
the best Italian restaurant in Vancouver. Food quality and staff are great
Love the love love the company always come by when we crave for Italian food
Always good! Not fancy but delicious food.
Pasta was okay, but nothing special. Spaghetti feels under-cooked since it's still quite firm and too chewy for liking. Open kitchen with electric burners, so it lacks that ‘breath of the wok’ flavour from gas burners in my opinion. Much of the food was pre-made in containers from fridge. Seafood tasted fresh though.
