   I had the most amazing time at Rocco's, a place where you could bring families, when you can bring colleagues, and where you can be on your own and received a stellar service. For Mother's Day it was one of the most beautiful moment, seeing families coming for fine dining. I salute the entire staff of Rocco and I commend them for a great job well done

   The hostess was rude when we were 5 minutes late and the restaurant was empty Took 20 minutes for someone to come over to take our drink order We found out the restaurant was closing today And there was a limited selection of drinks We didn’t feel the good was fresh

   This is my second time dining at Rocco's. The first time was shortly after they opened. We had an underwhelming experience with unremarkable service and a pasta dish one could easily make at home. This time around, I wanted to support their inclusion of non-alcoholic beverages on the menu, so I made a reservation. The waitstaff was excellent this time, and I felt really cared about. However, the food and drink still left a lot to be desired. For the drinks, I ordered the Phony Negroni and the Rocc-tail. The former was a pre-bottled product one could order online and the latter was just a blend of fruit juices...I was expecting something a little more sophisticated. As for the food, I was once again disappointed. The fries were good, but the steak was tough (even cooked medium rare) and under-seasoned. Overall, it's a fine place to bring out-of-town guests for a somewhat upscale "vibe," but the food's quality does not match what the pricing and ambience suggest.

   We brought our friends who don't live in the area to dinner here and it was an amazing night!! Our server Russ was outstanding and fun, the food was soo delicious, and didn't break the bank like many restaurants do these days. The whole vibe was great! And we heard that the bands are coming back - we will definitely be back!!

   I was surprised the chicken marsala was bone chicken with only a few potatoes. Not enough food for 2 people. We would not order that again.

    The decor and seating is not much different from the former Hudson Room. The menu is different and most dishes are available in single servings or family style. Don't expect traditional style recipes of chicken marsala or chicken scarpiello, Rocco's version is a bit dialed down. Also, their two-top tables are really not large enough to accommodate 2 family-style dishes and customers dinner plates. We go to have dinner and enjoy the live music, which is limited to twice a month for now. Don't think I'd go just for dinner, the live music is the prime attraction for us.

    The overall decor lacked warmth. There is no convenient parking. The appetizer of fried calamari was ok but filled with zucchini and peppers instead of 100 % calamari. The pasta course was not hot. The check included a 3% charge for credit card use however we were paying cash so had to ask the server to adjust the check. Will not return.

    Made a reservation and when we got there we saw friends. Asked if we could sit near them. Steve told us we could not because those high top tables were reserved. There were reserved signs on table for 4. The high table was a long table with many seats. Two women came and occupied one side of table and then I asked Steve if we could sit on other side because there was a band and Steve said no they reserved that space even though it was plenty of space to share. I wouldn’t depend on good customer service from this man he was not accommodating at all. Sorry to say he was lacking any service ethics and frankly wasn’t looking to help us out.

While the high-top tables are normally open-seating, offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, on the night of the show, we integrated them into our floor plan and made them reservable as we had numerous reservations. Unfortunately, we could not offer you the space that was reserved by another party. For the future, we will be removing the high-tops so that there is no obstruction to guests who wish to enjoy the band for coming events.

    The surprise of the day! What a great place! It’s been quite a long time since visiting the area. We had tickets to the Paramount theater to hear #LouisPrimaJr./TheWitnesses!!! Outstanding! Do not miss them! Rocco’s Downtown could not have been a better choice. The venue, the ambience, the food, the service was truly outstanding! The prices very reasonable. Chicken scarppiello was done to perfection. Everything was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend! It’s also walkable to the theater. 5 stars!     We have a new favorite restaurant, Rocco’s Downtown! The menu was full of unique takes on our favorite dishes. We chose the mushroom risotto and stuffed Acorn Squash with farro. Both were exquisite as was the crème brûlée cheese cake. We can’t wait to return for more.

    Very attractive place. Food and service was very good. Only drawback was the fact that the limited main courses did not come as individual portions. There were only two of us and we would have liked to try different things but we shared a main course that didn’t come with anything.

    We went on New Year Eve's for dinner pre-show and our waiter Russell was so great about getting us out in time. Russell made us feel like family. The food was really good and the portions were plentiful. We even went back after the show for a drink. Wonderful experience and hope to return soon.

    Was very disappointed for a family style restaurant that is Italian no bread on the table. Kitchen chef was not accommodating wanted a Caesar salad to go and asked if they could add grilled chicken or shrimp and they couldn’t do it which was very odd to me when they have chicken cutlet parm on the menu and they are way over priced.

    From first to last we were treated beautifully, staff were helpful and charming. The food is VERY plentiful,reminds me of Mamma Leone’s of old. Everything was delicious, good ingredients expertly prepared, nothing over-complicated. Desserts were typical old school Italian-very sweet, big, but also delicious and well-prepared. The wines were excellent and well-priced and the liqueurs were typically Italian, very special. The room is quite nice, feels cozy in a big open space.

    Absolutely EVERYTHING is al carte. That means your ‘family’ style meal - in this case, chicken parm, is just that - a big chicken breast with cheese/sauce. Nothing else. No salad, no pasta, no veggie, no sides … nothing! .. not even bread! although in fairness, the chopped salad appetizer was delicious! But come on Rocco, at least throw a girl a piece of bread! The room is beautiful. Very comfortably laid out. Even with a full crowd the noise level was tolerable. The food was good but then again, it was chicken parm …. you’d have to really try to screw that up. All things considered, I don’t think I’d return. When I eat out, I want a full meal.

    Loved the new Roccos look. Huge space and an attractive bar area. The service was excellent but was disappointed with the portion size. We ordered the chicken scarpariello family style which was delicious but not enough for 3 people as stated. More like for one and 1/2 persons. We did have 2 appetizers which were very good.
