Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Chicago
It was pretty good. Jambalaya and burger would recommend although the fries were a bit over cooked.
Drinks are very overpriced.
Made reservation, was told they weren’t accepting reservations for that day. We ended up being seated fairly quickly, however it took 25 minutes and asking 2x for a server for someone to finally come to our table. Terrible experience.
The restaurant did not honor our reservation
Great place to watch a game !
Our server was fantastic. She really made the experience great. She told us all about happy hour. We had a couple of lovely beverages, good food and we did not feel rushed but felt like we were being taken care of as well. It was excellent.
Great atmosphere. The food was great. Great variety. Had something for everyone. Beers were great. We really enjoyed our evening there.
I ordered the fish and chips. Wouldn't order it again. Fish was kind of hard and lacking in flavor. Other dishes ordered by my party, including a burger, wings and crab & artichoke dip, were all very good. The dip was my favorite and I would order that again. My friend ordered a beer flight and was pleasantly surprised to find that you get six flight choices, rather than the usual four.
Overall a good experience. The thing that got me was the fact they got my sons order wrong. He wanted a plain cheeese pizza it came out pepperoni. I then waited to eat myself till his food came out which was 10-15 min. They didn’t comp anything and no manager came to apologize
Always a great time. Great food and drinks. Reasonable prices
Hostess and server were both very nice. The crab artichoke dip was out of this world good. I did the Baja chicken sandwich was fantastic.
Drinks were awesome
Great customer service, our waiter made several suggestions. Mac n cheese to die for! Excellent rib eye! Very enjoyable evening!
Was surprised with a giant brownie topped with ice cream for my birthday!
My friends and I ate here when we were previously here on a weekend getaway and had a good time. We enjoyed the food and good beer so we decided to eat there while visiting Chicago, again. We all recommend Rock bottom brewery and we'll eat and drink there when we return to Chicago in the future.
Terrific food surpassed only by service. Wait staff and management are very attentive and helpful.
Always good- Last day of Wicked Elf beer. A must during the holidays!
Our waiter was amazing and helpful when it came to what beers to order. The food was amazing, highly recommend the 2am burger!
We were downtown Chicago for the Holiday weekend with a party of 7. Rock Bottom was located conveniently close to our hotel, an easy 5 minute walk. We made a reservation online, arrived about 10 minutes early and they had already had our table set up. Super great staff from the front desk, to the servers to the manager. One of our favorites when we visit downtown Chicago!
The waiter was very good. Burgers are very good.
We've eaten here probably 40-50 times over a ten year period. Happy hour menu is fun and inexpensive. This round we had dinner. Good service, good food selection and reasonable prices. Rock Bottom is generally louder than most, with sports screens around the perimeter and a generally younger crowd. While we're in the retirement age, we feel we fit in fine. Good choice for casual lunch or dinner out.
Food and service were just ok, i won't be returning
Average food but good place to catch a game
Come to Chicago from the UK every year and it never disappoints
Great service, Castro pub feel. Food and drinks are all wonderful!
We recently visited on a Wed. evening and the restaurant was busy. Service was terrible because there were only 3 servers! It took over an hour and a half to complete our experience for salads and sandwiches. Typical average bar food. Noisy.
Great beer, good food. Will eat there again!
We love stopping in at RockBottom when we come to the city. We enjoy the food fare as well as the cocktail and beer choices. Thanks for having a rewards program. It encourages us to come more.
Food and beer were excellent but the service was slow. It took a while for the waiter to get our drink order & then even longer to get our food order. Once we received our food it was excellent.
It was great that they honor veterans with a good complimentary meal. Such a nice gesture.
It had never happened before, however on this occasion we were very disappointed with our server and how long it took for our food to arrive on what should have been a great time out for a birthday celebration. We were most upset because our server did not check on our table to make sure we received our food or needed water, etc. We waited for an hour for an appetizer of 8 wings and nachos and she didn’t even know. When the wings finally arrived, they had to be returned because they were buffalo style, spicier than regular wings, which I don’t eat. Although the server apologized for the inconvenience it didn’t carry much weight because we had observed her earlier laughing with the bartender and doing dance moves while we waited and waited patiently for our appetizers and meals. To make matters worse we had to leave with our food half eaten in to-go boxes in order to get our car from the parking garage in time. Even though we didn’t ask for it, we appreciated the price of the wings and nachos being removed from our bill by the manager.
The service and the beer were good. We were a group of four. Feedback on the Food was mixed. Personally speaking the gluten free Salmon in a spicy sauce was great. If you like a busy noisy casual place to eat with a choice of good craft beers this is a great option for you. Good value for money.
My wife and I met some friends at Rock Bottom for dinner on Saturday. They had some awesome specials on food and drinks! There were TV's to watch sports and the food was great! It was a little dark in our part of the restaurant, but it didn't bother me much. The burgers all come with bottomless fries which is incredible!!!! Great place for any occasion and a great location in downtown Chicago!
Took us a few changes to get a table that was large enough for our group. Our waitress was very nice and her service was great. Food was very good and the desserts are delicious but ridiculously large. Everyone enjoyed the meal.
Great food and atmosphere for a casual Saturday evening of fun with friends!! Waiter was attentive and friendly
Some of the worst bar food we have ever eaten.
Good food , short wait
The Rock Bottom in Chicago is a straightforward brew pub. Honest bar food, good service & great beer brewed in-house. Because the Rock Bottom chain allows their local brewmasters some leeway, the beers change from visit to visit and are always interesting.
When we visit Chicago we always save an evening for dinner at Rock Bottom.
Celebrated our anniversary in Chicago for the weekend. We made this our restaurant stop prior to going to the theatre. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food and the drinks were very good. Will definitely visit again when we visit Chicago in the future.
I typically enjoy Rock Bottom, they have a great selection of beers and bar specials. This trip really lacked on service and set the tone for the whole experience. After being seated without much interaction from the host we waited another ten minutes before a waiter took our drink order. He happened to be filling in for our actual waitress who was busy so there must have been some staffing issues. Both people were very nice, it was just annoying to have to wait so long for everything. We were even told up front the kitchen was going to be very slow. It could have been an off night but Saturday night in River North should be when you have your service down pat.
