   Food was too salty and not hot. Waiter didn’t seem to care about giving us good attention, waited too long to check to make sure we were ok with meal and took way too long to give us check.

   The food was fantastic and the service was great too. The only little bobble was that our server didn’t realize that our table was in his section. The hostess noticed that we hadn’t had service yet when she seated the table next to us and let our server know without us asking her. He came over, explained what happened and apologized profusely. So all was well

   Appetizers took 50 minutes to get then it was cold. Dinner came 20 minutes later with an over cooked steak that was so cold. There menu is nothing to get excited about. It’s boring and tasteless

   The size of my salad was so generous. My husbands seared salmon was delicious. I highly recommend the blueberry cobbler. One is enough to share. So yummy. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. She even gave us details on one of the trails we were wanting to hike. Very courteous. We will be back.

   Overall we loved the food we ordered. The only weak link IMO was the marinara pasta. It was good but could have been better with a little more seasoning in the sauce imo. The meatball was outstanding. The shrimp and grits were the best my wife has ever had. Burgers were excellent as well.

    The lodge is beautiful, the food was excellent, prices a little high. However they did give you a lot of food. We liked the food is from Ohio . Wine was good. Overall we would go back. Reservations are needed for dinner.

    Great service and food. Ate here two nights in a row. Staff was awesome. Ate outside on a perfect night and then went over to another patio and listened to live music. Def would stay here again!

    We had dinner at the Rock House Restaurant both nights of our stay. Both meals were excellent for everyone in our party and the service was outstanding. The menu was limited but had enough choices for our party of 4 to have something different each meal.

    Our waiter, Derek, was AWESOME! Food was really good. Got the mussels app as a meal and it was delish. Others got shrimp and cheese grits and chicken tenders platter and they were really good. Brownie was delish and warm with ice cream. Can’t wait to eat there again tonight. Tiffane the bartender went above and beyond as did the hostess Madison. Having a great time. Everyone here is so friendly, even on a busy Memorial Day weekend.

    Unfortunately they were understaffed in kitchen and wait staff . Took over an hour to get my soup, a total of 2 hours before we got our food. Someone should have explained the situation when we were seated

    We waited 1.5 hours for our dinners. Mine had to be gluten free because I have celiac. They were made aware of this when we arrived as well as with our Open Table reservation. They brought me an entree that would have made me seriously ill. We left and will not return. Horribly understaffed and mismanaged.

    It was a disaster. I brought friends to stay at lodge. We waited 2 hours for our food and we never got it. Finally we were told the kitchen had a problem and they couldn’t tell us when our food would be ready. All my guests lost their appetite and we left. I think that the lodge ought to give us a coupon for free dinner for 4. I’ve never experienced anything like that before.

    The food was good nothing out of the ordinary. I had a bowl of French onion soup that was ok I've had better. Salad was good if you like greens we prefer just iceberg lettuce but the dressings were very good. I had a pork chop that was ok a little dry over cooked. My wife had catfish and enjoyed it. One piece of the fish was over cooked and had some black char on the edge of it. The portions were good not over filling, we didn't need a take home box. The prices were fair for what you got. The server was excellent and very attentive to our needs. We ate outside on the deck and enjoyed the view. I suggest they have some kind of soft music playing to create a enjoyable atmosphere.

    Vegetables came out cold, had to send it back. The rest of the food came out hot and was good. Server was waiting on too many tables and wasn’t able to check on us.

    Had a lovely dinner here on the outside balcony. I am unfortunately dairy free - but so was my server! He was very nice and made sure my food was prepared without diary which was great, and I didn't feel like an inconvenience. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and would love to come back if I visit the lodge again.

    My husband wanted to purchase a wine for dinner for a bottle ghat was $18.00 but they were changing the drink menu and was not available then tried to order a Great Lakes bear again not available so I believe the front desk where the hostess was should have had up to date menus but our server was very good!!

    Maybe they are training new people in for the summer but they have a long way to go with service. This was the third night we ate there and wouldn’t have but when we were in Logan, the winery person told us there is no good place to eat there. So we drove back. Much quicker on the check in. Still don’t know why they don’t have people ordering take out so it at the bar instead. Maybe they would buy drinks while they wait. Asked if we could sit outside and was told yea but asked if we would do inside if that’s all there was. Could see empty tables outside so not sure what that was about. Took forever to get water and was never asked if we wanted drinks. Wife wanted wine but just skipped it. Took forever for the waitress to greet us. Still out of items on menu. Wanted a cheeseburger but not offered at dinner. Asked for salad with tomatoes on the side and that totally confused the waitress. Salad was good and delivered right away. Rest of the meal took about 40 minutes from when ordered. Pork chop was tough. Had a hard time cutting it. Ambiance is fantastic. Service bad. Menu average.

    Followed advice and had reservations however the people who didn’t have reservations used the same line to order takeout so you stood in line because only one person seating. Got table and waitress came up in reasonable amount of time. Went to order drinks but they were out of many of the beers. Ordered one they said they had but came back with something completely different. Went to order food and were out of things there too. Waited 15 minutes to get water. Watched a group wait 20+ minutes for a box so guy could take home dinner. One ordered dessert to go so he sat waiting for that too. They left without getting what they wanted. Food took over a half hour to get to us. Coleslaw was horrible. Tasted like months old. Waitress said they were short one person and another came in and left. Also trucks didn’t show with some of the food. Hoping it’s better tonight- kind of doubt it.

    Tonight the food was not very hot when usually it is very good. Get the pork chop dinner. The pork chop was dry and very small when usually it’s big and juicy and has a great taste to it yeah but tonight there was hardly any taste to it at all?

    Staff were overwhelmed, even with limited seatings available for reservations. We waited 30 min to receive drinks, total of 45 for appetizers, and food arrived 70 min after ordered. Hostess was commenting that she did not have time to take calls, she was too busy with a full line of people waiting- there were 4 of us standing for our table reservation. Waitress tried to compensate by making comments of just how crazy and busy they were, too many people were being seated, continually dropped our silverware, plates etc. The food arrived: burnt fish, cold pasta, and not very edible. Waitress apologized how long it took for our food, but we did not complain once to her, as we could see how frazzled she was. She offered free dessert to us for our food taking so long- she brought us 4 day old cinnamon buns that were rock hard in a to go container. We left them on the table. All in all- the intent was appreciated, but delivery of service and food was way below what we expected. We left full 20% tip, then went back to our rental cabin and made a late night dinner to eat. Hope things improve, as the view is gorgeous.

    If you have Greek salad on the menu you should have Greek salad dressing for it and put all ingredients in it. Overall too much lettuce in the salad for the amount of other ingredients. French onion soup was very small quantity but delicious. Service was good.

    This was 2nd visit. The amount of food served was greatly reduced from first visit in January 2023. The pasta with spinach had two pieces. The calamari app. was about 1 cup. Our main arrived and we hadn’t even received our salads. This is not what we experienced on our first visit. Very disappointed!

    Shrimp and grits were great. Very different with touch of heat! Pasta with meatballs was very good and a large portion. We had pork belly and potatoes & roasted vegetables and potatoes for breakfast that morning. Yummy and filling. The pork belly potato skins were amazing and would serve 4 persons easily. Laura was our bartender and then server! She made it fun and gave us lots of info for area!!

    Pizza on Sunday night, two breakfasts, one lunch and dinners on Monday and Tuesday. All were excellent. Food was delicious and service was great.
