Rococo Acland Street’s atmosphere is both seductive and vibrant, bustling and intimate. The place where Rococo’s signature antipasti boards and simple Italian flavours first came to be, it continues to attract diners from all over Melbourne some 10 years later. Set amongst some of Melbourne’s most loved sites – The Palais, The National Theatre and St Kilda beach to name a few – our expanded restaurant space is bigger than ever, yet remains cosy and flexible, with various spaces available for functions and plenty of nooks for private dining or close conversations.

    Very happy with first visit to Rococo. Tasmanian salmon pizza delicious. Rose a bit expensive. Good table for two. Nice that it was warm on a cold Melbourne day. Good cheerful Irish waitress.

    On a sunday evening it was very busy and very noisy. A big group with 3 little children were seated among other guests, talking was difficult. The waitress had to much to do and we felt sorry for her. The food was good, but to expensive, it still was italian food.

    Friendly efficient staff and service. Food was delicious. It was very busy but the staff still checked in on us to see if we wanted anything else and everything was ok.

    We sat for dinner before a show and it was delicious. We ordered the grilled calamari which was tender and delicious, mushroom aranchini was delightful and the pizza was incredible. Highly recommend. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely return.

    Have dined here in the past so wanted to return again. The food is excellent, but the service is average - why all mains were not served at the same time is unacceptable, had to wait nearly 30mins for a Main to turn up! And damn it’s loud inside, near impossible to have a conversation!

    We had the saganaki , pate’ a pizza and a risotto. The saganaki was the best we have ever eaten. Arriving at the table on a plate that was still sizzling, it was so juicy. The pate’ was full of flavour and very fresh. Outstanding risotto and the pulled pork and caramelised onion pizza were beautiful. All for very reasonable prices. Highly recommend Rococo.

    The best Italian meal I eat!! The Spaghetti w Chargrilled Seafood, SUPERB! Also the Spaghetti Meatballs are a classic treat for all to devour.

    The staff were friendly and very quick with requests. Though, I would appreciate if the green serving bottles were clean on the outside. To me it seemed like it was already used and refilled, there were lots of finger prints and sauce, didn’t give a good impression about hygiene wise. The food and service though is always excellent.

    On a very nice day the restaurant was very busy. We had a booking and so no problem. We were warned the mains might be a bit slow due to the crowds and some shift changes for the wait staff. This did not prove to be the case as we received good service and our meals were served in a reasonable time. Book ahead!

    We loved the ambiance and the fabulous food. Such a great selection to choose from. A very expansive menu. The tomato bruschetta was to die for And the pumpkin cannelloni. We have been twice in a row as we were visiting from NZ and the second time we took out kiwi friends they loved it too.

    Service was fantastic! As I was going to a concert after dinner , they made sure our meals came out on time , giving us plenty of time to enjoy our dinner. Food was amazing! Service was friendly and very helpful! I strongly recommend this place it almost felt I was in a restaurant in Italy 🥰 Looking forward to going again!

    The food was absolutely delicious however the service was less than desirable. When seated, we waited over 10 minutes before being offered water or to order a drink. There was no cutlery or napkins set on the table and these were just put down on the table and not set for us. We were still eating our entrees when then mains appeared. Upon finishing the meal, despite sitting at the Restautant for an additional 15 minutes, no one offered us a dessert menu or checked to see if we wished to order any additional drinks.
