Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar Gastown
Menu-wise, going Rogue means doing things in the kitchen others said couldn’t be done. Like a completely fresh burger served medium-rare to make it the juiciest and best tasting in town. Or corn-dogs your not supposed to want but secretly crave.
Going Rogue means your horizons are greater than the “usual suspects” of chain restaurants. Rogue gives it’s customer an eclectic enough offering of food and surroundings, that they can feel and be themselves. You can go Rogue when you’re slumming, you can go Rogue when you need to impress. You can go Rogue with a date, your mates or with your boss.
Best of all, you can afford to go Rogue every day of the week. Need a stiff drink and tasty meal to get you through your daily grind and have enough left over to do it all again tomorrow? Go Rogue.
romesco hummus, charred lemon garlic hummus & baba ghanoush, fresh naan bread
Thai Beef Salad
medium rare sirloin, avocado, tomato, cucumber, mango, sui choy, noodles, tossed in thai dressing
We ate outdoors. Noon time construction noise from building across the street (loud pounding). Maybe it was just that day and time??
Loved this place and so happy to see it open again!
Excellent experience. Our server Nick was the cherry on top: incredibly efficient, gracious, friendly. Thanks for a great evening, Rogue!
Loved the Korean chicken tacos.
Great value and our salads were delicious. Would recommend and return.
Little too loud and I see the portion sizes of the meals have been cut in half. Other than that, good.
Friendly and attentive service as always. We always have the Bang Bang Bowl and share the roasted Brussels sprouts - a yummy lunch that never disappoints. Thanks for another great experience Rogue Kitchen. :)
Great food (appies only) and service ( new server very attentive). Only thing that would have made it better is if we weren’t in the back room.
Always love the food and service at Rogue especially during Happy Hour!
It was alright, the service was a little lousy. But the drinks and company made up for it
We like the new items on the menu. Most of the food was good. Lettuce in the salad was brown and had to be returned. Best fries ever though. Green Goddess Tofu Bowl was very good as was the steak. Overcharged on the wine that was ordered. Overall, average experience.
My first time here but the food was good and the customer service are fantastic😊
Great meal with out-of-town friends! Really creative and tasty menu!
The service was fantastic, from front desk check in wait staff. I had the Smashed cheese burger...best burger I have eaten in a long time. The location is fabulous, coming over from the North Shore to meet friends from South Vancouver. Overall.... EXCELLENT.
Great location and trendy place to dine. I felt the cost was excessive. Entrees were on the high end of market prices, but the extras were way overpriced, in my opinion:
Side of Yam Fries = $5
Coke fountain drink = $3.50
Glass of soda water = $3.69
A great place for happy hour gathering! The location is just perfect.
Great place to have a casual dinner with friends, service was friendly and prompt. Even though we missed happy hour they still had daily drink special which were really awesome!
Great table in a corner which was perfect for a few firmer work buddies to get caught up. Had the Thai Beef salad. Delicious.
I liked the place only thing is that the waiter came to check on us a lot and even brought the bill without us asking for it so it makes you feel rushed.
Deco and ambiance was great and we could have a good chat. Waitress was distracted and hard to catch at times. Also no Malbec available at all was very odd and a bit disappointing - waitress didn't have any suggestions to replace it either. Overall a great night though and would be back again.
My boyfriend had the steak which was pretty good. The lobster mac and cheese was pretty runny. Wouldnt order that again. The white chocolate cheesecake was the best part hands down :)
A very convenient location to meet friends. Several large parties there on the evening we were there but the staff looked after us. Nice wait staff - helpful and friendly. Sweet chili cauliflower and the romensco hummus EXCELLENT. will definitely return.
Wonderful location and ambience. What appears to be largely original woodwork and staircases are showcased nicely. Some might find it a bit dark ... but very nice for a dinner IMHO. Menu may be a bit disaapointing for anyone looking for something different. Pretty mainstream. The seafood chowder was just OK. Not too salty (nice!), but doughy and not creamy.
It was a lovely Christmas get together with my friend. They put us in a quieter corner so we could chat. My friend’s martini at Happy Hour was so weak she commented on it but they comped it and apologized profusely. Otherwise all good.
The dry ribs and Hedgehog ice cream cake were delicious
Great food and service. Would recommend and will definitely go again.
Everything was great! Very delicious and got everyone’s order correct!
Amazonas experience, everything was perfect. My wife and I were celebrating one year in Canada, and they gave champagne to us. The customer service was pretty good!
Very handy location inside Waterfront station. Food good, service ok.
How ever the staff was slow and judgemental kept giving us weird looks and were slow to come around
Our server Nick was amazing and super funny and personable! Part way through our meal we were switched to a different server who was good but wasn’t the next level of service that we had received with Nick. The food was pretty good and the sangria was great!
food was great, place was good too, the service was mediocre though. I booked a reservation, me and my friend came early and we still had one guest waiting. At the front, instead of leading our last guest to our table they just told her to “take a look around” but the restaurant is huge so my friend had to go get her.
Our waitress was not the most respectful either, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I’ve worked in restaurants too. Food was amazing, I just wish they had a little bit better service.
Great ambiance, fabulous food and good prices, loved it!!!
Noise level to high. Food was cold and not very good. The location is good as is the decor
I made a reservation for a birthday and it was the best service I’ve ever had! My waiter was amazing, I wish I got his name! He Kept the drinks flowing, checked on us and was super funny. My experience was very enjoyable, i can’t wait to come back!
I love Rogue ! Best happy hour in town ! Always go here !
Had lunch with a colleague. Reserved table was ready for us when we arrived at noon. Food was good, service was fast, friendly and accommodating. Left us space to chat with minimal interruption but checked in periodically, never felt abandoned and moved meal along gracefully. Thanks!
Love the happy hour specials and patio location! Superb for after work get togethers!
There were three of us dining for a birthday dinner. Two of us ordered the alderwood salmon, one ordered the Cajun salmon risotto. The risotto and salmon dish was wonderful, flavourful and appropriate proportion. The alderwood wrapped salmon dish was extremely underwhelming. Zero flavour. Very small portion of salmon, about 3 fingerling potatoes and 4 spears of asparagus. We were still hungry after eating so had to order 2 orders of fries to supplement! The truffle fries and the Gorgonzola fries were delicious but we shouldn’t have had to order those in the first place. The salmon was also priced at $25.99, way overpriced for what you got. Server was good, gave my boyfriend a complimentary glass of wine for his birthday which was nice.
