The food at Roku Akor is simply magnificent. Each dish was better than the next. Amazing fish quality merged with innovative sauces and sices. Two reasons I havne't given a full 5 star rating: the restaaurant was quitie loud, making it difficult at times to hold a conversation; and, the service was quite rushed. We had barely finsihed one course when the next was presented. Wanted a little more time to savor the dish longer

We had such a wonderful experience! Every bite from the cold plates to the dessert was absolutely incredible and the service was just as good. We had the yellowtail with ponzu, grilled octopus, crispy squid, scallop dynamite roll and striploin with a truffle sauce. For dessert we had the Ube Pot de Crème and the Chocolate lava cake. The dishes were elevated and every flavor was delicious with perfectly paired ingredients. The cocktails were delicious, light and refreshing. We were also treated with complimentary champagne and dessert for our anniversary. Our waiter was so helpful, attentive and kind. The food runners explained each dish as they were served and the buss staff was extremely attentive and quick to fill our waters and clear our plates. Amazing service, amazing food- highly recommend.

I was so excited to dine at Roka Akor and left disappointed. Our server was excellent and watching the chefs is a fun experience. All of the sushi/sashimi we ordered was outstanding, but we didn’t think the wagyu steak or the fish main entrees were anything special. The dessert was a big hit. We would go back for sushi, but skip the entrees.

Food was amazing as always. Service was uncharacteristicly below par. Our server mis-ordered two dishes, forgot a drink, and was overall not very attentive. Our outside table was next to the door and a server prep area, so ambiance was a little sub-par as well. Too bad, this is usually one of our go-to spots for a nice dinner but this visit didn’t measure up.

All of the food we had was marvelous. We started with the Eggplant and Miso Soup. Then we had our usual… Blackened Cod and Spare Ribs with sides of Tempura Vegetables and rice. And followed it up with a delicious Lava Cake.

Made and paid for a reservation. Did not get an actual table. sat us in the lounge which was basically a couch with a low table in front of it. Super uncomfortable. Did not help with the first date I was on. Only had appetizers and left to have dinner at a different restaurant. Service was sub par. Food was amazing.

We did the Omakase. Every course was fantastic. The pork belly, tempura lobster, and Kobe wagyu was incredible. Our server Alex paired the dishes with his selection of wine, which was also great. It was very expensive, but great food and excellent service.

This is a favorite in Scottsdale. The Sushi is very fresh and some of the best. There any unique dishes that make the food special. From the Pork Belly to the Ube Pot de Creme and everything in between, your taste buds will be happy, happy, happy. If you enjoy different flavors and textures, this is a place for you. I've never had Pork Belly that actually melts in your mouth. The steaks and fish are high quality and prepared to enhance the natural flavors. I really could go on describing each dish and making you hungry but I won't! Just GO! Your entire experience will be a delight not soon forgotten!

The food was good- not worth the price. Our server was atrocious- not engaging or welcoming, seemed like she did not want to be there. She walked away before we could finish any question, did not engage in conversation and was almost irritated with every interaction. Maybe she was having a bad day? I don’t know but it was not professional. Even the hostess seemed miserable- one was spinning in circles and not even paying attention to her job. Our table was so so small. We couldn’t even get our full courses on it. They had to take some back to we could finish eating to clear space ( to be clear, we only had 2 appetizers and our drinks on the table - any other table would have housed it all) Our mains did not come out at the same time and when I was wating for the other mains to come on the table, the server said “ if I were you I would dig in now- the cod is going to take a minute” Vs just holding back my main for them to both come out. It wasn’t great service for the price, again, food was great but overall not worth it.

We were celebrating my boyfriends bday which is Friday and my dad’s birthday which was today…We were seated 15 minutes late and the hostess was very rude to my mom… The food was great but then the server brought us the dessert menu
