Beside us was a large group celebrating an event and it was super loud to the point we had to yell at our waiter when he was taking our order, and even then we could barely hear each other and we were the only other table in that area. Within 2 minutes after this uncomfortable setting, our waiter offered to move us into a different area away from that group. This entirely made our experience so much better and enjoy the evening much more. Staff was very considerate and kind to move us to a different table and food was super quick to come out shortly after we ordered.
Definitely will be recommending this place to others and will be coming back again!
great view of T.O.
nice drink selection - kudos to the bartender
quick & hot turn around on food orders
Really fun rooftop bar with great food too!
Food was a bit of a miss (lettuce wraps weren't great) but the drinks were amazing and the place itself is beautiful. I would come back to have drinks again.
Beautiful view and great vibe to hang out with friends! Service very slow. Music not the greatest even though there was a DJ. But still had fun and would return just to see that view again.
The view at the rooftop bar is unparallelled and the decor is smart and comfortable. The wine list is good but the menu choices for food is a little limited. As a group of three we ordered three menu items but each came separately and by the time we were all settled each one was cold. Later in the evening the rooftop bar becomes a bit of a club scene so if you prefer quieter dining I would go for the civic downstairs or even the lobby bar. Overall a good experience for drinks and the view and next time I would order food to share.
Excellent bar & team at the Rooftop. We enjoyed the red wine, food, service & view!
30th birthday
This place has a huge room for improvement, the food taste good but was cold, Love the Fried platain but was cold, same with the beef. There was a Dj but he never was in front of the deck.. I always heard more people talking than music
Don't get me wrong, the rooftop is one of the best places in the city for drinks. But the food has gone DOWNHILL. Boring, bland make at home recipes are available here for a large premium. Sure you can pay $13 for "Spanish Fries" or you could stay home and dust some frozen McCain fries in paprika, it'll be the exact same thing.
Go for the view and a few drinks but go elsewhere for the food, the rooftop has lost it's way with the menu.
Gorgeous spot with spectacular views. Excellent drinks menu. Expensive appetizer foods but they are quite good. Great spot for a special occasion!
You are literally elbow to elbow with other tables and instead of being on a date I felt like I was hanging out with a group of friends (my table neighbours). I got to hear all about Brad doing the same thing to her as he did to Mary and on my left we were very happy the bottle had been put away to get chilled! Oh but he did forget to set up the TV so that was a minus. Not worth what they charge you whatsoever.
I wouldn't recommend the Rooftop Bar for brunch because there really isn't a 'brunch' menu offered. The odd thing is online we were lead to believe we could order brunch at the Rooftop Bar only to find out that we couldn't. So we had to wait for about 45 mins to get a seat at the bar in the restaurant downstairs. This was unfortunate. The server at the Rooftop Bar was very nice and accommodating.
Thank you so much, the cocktails were absolutely delicious!
great views, especially with the fall leaves. Good service (didn't bother us too much because we were busy catching up, but came to check on us every now and then). It was a Lincoln Music night so it got busier and LOUDER as the music got going. The music was too loud to talk over so we left to go elsewhere in the neighbourhood. I would still recommend!
It was lit.
Stunning view, and a really fabulous server made our visit very exceptional.
The view was terrific, the service was good, but the food was quite disappointing. I love small plates, but the quality and flavour of the food must be worthy of the price point. I didn't find this to be the case with the sliders ( meh, they were fine), nor the calamari ( not particularly tasty, and we sent it back to be re-fired as the dredging was not fully cooked and soggy underneath the fried outer layer). We would have ordered more food, but after two rounds of average apps we decided to finish our meal elsewhere. Sorry!
It's been a while since I've been to the the Rooftop Bar, and it seems to have undergone some unfortunate changes.
On arrival, the hostess had us wait as she finished up her personal conversation with her colleague. She then proceeded to seat two groups who had arrived after us .. to be fair, both groups rudely pushed past us to get to the hostess - but I would have liked a "sorry, this group was here first" or at the very least an apologetic shrug to acknowledge the value of all patrons.
I'm also disappointed by the new menu. Fried calamari? Lettuce wraps? Sliders? I assume charcuterie and tartare weren't paying the bills ... but surely there is room for inspiration as we chase mass gastronimic appeal.
And! The! Noise! Three tables around us were well past their "s'cuse me sir but we think you've had enough" point - which led to a decibel arms race as each table strained to be heard.
Overall, a bit of a disappointing return to the Rooftop. Shame, given it has one of the most gorgeous views of downtown.
I was a half hour late so my reservation was cancelled. I tried to call to say that we were running late, but could only leave a voice message. Even though there were several empty tables, the hostess was not going to seat us. I did ask to speak to the manager at which point she offered to seat us if we vacated the table by 8:30. This was not a problem. She had attitude.
Our waitress was wonderful! She made our night.
Fantastic food & service. My partner and I had a great time.
The food and drinks were great. Service was somewhat slow and they stopped catering to our table once we had finished eating our mains.
Boradview Hotel continues to rock. What’s not to love? Top notch service, beautiful and fun atmosphere with great city views and very good food. Could be NYC.
Food is over priced and nothing special. Great views, loud atmosphere.
My wife and I had an amazing date on the rooftop. Our waiter (I believe his name is Cory?) was simply wonderful, friendly, and gave us great recommendations. We absolutely cannot wait until the next time we get the chance to visit the Rooftop!
I love this place. The view, food and DJ are amazing.
Good service this time
One of the best rooftop patios. Took my husband for a birthday celebration. It was perfect!
I would definitely recommend it for the view and the hotel itself is cool. The only reason I didn't give a higher rating is because they were out of many of the dishes we were hoping to order.
The menu options were limited and the food was disappointing. Maybe this is a good place to hang out for drinks but definitely not for a decent lunch or brunch.
Great view. Appetizer portions were small for the price.
So much fun - friendly staff and patrons. Relaxed atmosphere with a lovely night view. We’ll be back!
Wonderful time catching up with a dear friend.
What was meant to be drinks, turned into dinner. The food was tasty. The cocktails were great. The view was stunning.
Food was just ok. Alot of fried options and not so much healthier options. Would be nice to have mains and our server wasnt really interested in helping us in our food items, only on the drinks.
Great atmosphere, tasty drinks and very good service! Our seats had a nice view of the skyline but were also very close to the dining staff’s work nook, which was fine but felt slightly less private. We were there to celebrate our anniversary so a bit more privacy would have been nice. Overall, it was a great place to celebrate our special night and we had a very nice time!
You know what, I used to like the Broadview however the last experience was so disappointing and actually downright distributing. My wife who is 6.5 months pregnant ordered a Virgen drink for obvious reasons. I also ordered one as I don't drink either. The server repeated our order to us and off he went. When my wife had a sip, the alcohol was so strong, my brother in law also tried and he was certain. The server asked the bartender and they both confirmed there was alcohol!!! The Manager, Bartender and Server all confirmed that they made a horrible error. My disgust actually starts with the terrible mistake however the manager was so cold and barely apologetic about it I was furious. The server apologized but it didn't change the fact my wife was distraught. What a terrible experience and I would caution anyone else from dining if they have allergies or are pregnant as listening is clearly not their speciality.
I used this restaurant for my birthday. I already wrote down using Open Table. However it’s not special at all.
Hostess was sucks, she was not smiling at all.
Also she want to let us sit a table which is near hostess stand area. I wanted to sit down near window and I was able to see outside.
Server is good. She checked our table many times. But she didn’t tell me birthday. Maybe she doesn’t know because hostess didn’t tell her...
I was really disappointed this restaurant. I really regret using this restaurant.
I will tell my friends not to go.
Fantastic views. Food waaaaaay too expensive for what you actually got. Four people and $245 Really? Loud to begin with, then DJ arrived on scene and all attempts at conversation ended with yelling. You have a great spot with amazing views. Don’t compete with it. Glad we went - but won’t come back.
We had a great time and service was outstanding! Views are amazing!
