   Our food tasted VERY good. As far as this being "modern indian" food, i think that is a 1/2 fair statement. Our plates were very simple. That is the reason I gave the lowest score for value. Overall, we enjoyed it but would probably be inclined to buy very good take out or go over to Cumin and Curry which has very good food with a relatively better value.

   Having been to the Chicago location of ROOT, I’ve been wanting to go to ROOH for a very long time and some friends agreed to go there with me to celebrate my birthday! We were warmly greeted when we walked in the door. We were asked to wait just a few minutes while they set up the table. They knew it was my birthday and they went out of the way to give us a lovely location. A bottle of sparkly sent by other friends awaited us at the table. Service was excellent and food delicious! Started with some shareables and then shared a few entrees. Lovely environment, too. And, I was treated to a yummy birthday dessert! I’ll be back.

   Overall the experience, my first time there, was mid. Not great, not bad. Just mid. The food was tasty. Especially the naan and the curry with the beef short ribs. They brought out starter with our entree at the same time. I found that odd. I think because the restaurant wasn’t full it was a quick turn in the kitchen. The service was ok. Our server did the expected check ins but never asked if we wanted another drink or dessert. If they even offer dessert. You just expect a bit more for the price of the meal.

    A delicious upscale interpretation of Indian cuisine. Highlights from our most recent visit include the peanut chutney and, as always, the Paneer Pinwheel. Don’t forget to take advantage of their creative cocktail menu. Restaurant was very busy but service was quite good nonetheless.

    The food was excellent. We shared the beef brisket appetizer and both ordered butter chicken. The beef brisket was a very nice blend of flavors. The butter chicken is the best we have had in Central Ohio--the cream was not too heavy and the flavor was not drowned by tomato paste as often happens with this dish. The naan tasted freshly made and not frozen. The service was good and there seemed to be an adequate number of servers. For the Short North, the price was what I would expect. It is nice to see an ethnic restaurant in that location.

    Great first time experience here. The staff was the highlight, they accommodated our reservation albeit being late, and our server was so kind and wonderful. The food was good but expensive for what it was. I’ve been to other Indian fusion restaurants before and this was great, not number one but great. The cocktails were lovely! If you like this restaurant, you’ll like Amba in Cleveland.

    I've been here several times and never disappointed. The food is just outstanding. Keep in mind, this is "progressive Indian" (says so right on the door!) so if you're looking for tikka masala and all the traditional indian dishes, that's not here. The kitchen at Rooh provides amazing combinations of great indian flavors in an entirely different light. Their specialty drink menu is fun as well and changes every so often.     The place was very hyped on the internet. So we planned to have a visit, tbh the food was pretty average, nothing over the top . For the price, nothing was worth it at all. We can get that kinda food easily from an average indian restaurant for a much much cheaper price. Qualitywise- there was a hairstrand in the food.. also my stomach got upset after the visit. Don’t recommend this restaurant at all if you are looking for good food and value for money.

    My first time here. I love Indian food. And this did not disappoint. Everything was amazing! Service was phenomenal and friendly. Food was tasty and delicious. We’re going back next week! The bartender Stephen was great.

    Food is not as authentic Indian as we had hoped. Breads are not cooked in a clay over tandoor making the the taste to be far from the experience and leaves so much to be desired. I did enjoy the drink

    Went for my 40th birthday and couldn’t have had a better time. The cocktails were incredible, the food was all amazing (special shout out to the sweet potato chat and the mushroom kulcha, which were both mind-blowingly good) and the special ice cream options for dessert were perfection. The service could not have been better - our waitress was very great helping us decide what to choose - and it was easy to talk and relax. Will definitely be coming back!

    Second time at Rooh but after a year.A little disappointed. Beef short ribs curry looked like sauce and meat cooked separate and just mixed before serving.Sauce gravy was good but did not get into the meat .Fish paturi was bland , nothing special . You have to get a gravy separately to eat the naan or rice that accompanies. Scallops were overcooked.Chicken kofta and naan was good. The restaurant was only at 50 percent capacity .Would give it 21/2 stars

    Cool and modern interior with a creative twist to authentic Indian dishes. We enjoyed the scallops as a starter, then shared between 3 of us the Lamb, Butter Chicken, and Eggplant - all very special in their own way. Service was very good.
