My wife and I have been wanting to try Root and Branch for a while, but something came up every time we we set to go. Finally we got our chance Friday night and it was worth the wait. Service was great, definitely a cut above the Clermont norm. Food was outstanding and not rushed. We will be going back more often.

Service was wonderful. Our waiter was very attentive. Food was also delicious. Pork chops are amazingly huge and very tender. Brussels sprouts and fried green tomato’s were also very good. The only negative was the noise level. We were a group of 8 and it was difficult to talk/hear everyone at the table

We wanted to try the restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Recommendation for other patrons would be to get there early as items on their menu were sold out. We arrived two hours before closing time. Items on their menu are quite expensive so remember to bring your gold card. Otherwise, a good experience for a special occasion.

The Pork Chop was amazing. It was moist and not dry and the corn ragu that the chop sat on was delicious. The Chocolate flourless cake was delicious. It was my husband's birthday and the host made a handmade card and envelope and the whole staff signed it. It was a wonderful evening and we will be back.

First time going to Root and Branch and was not disappointed. Went here for my wife’s birthday to celebrate and Jennifer our server made it a great experience. We had the Brussels sprouts as a appetizer (absolutely amazing), my wife had the trout (delicious), and I had the 14oz ribeye ( one of the best steaks I’ve had). The kitchen even made my wife a crème brûlée to go with a birthday candle. All around great experience and would return again.

Our waiter was fantastic! … but our food was just blah.. it was so very loud and it took 2 hours for a dinner for four with reservations. I expect that from Burn’s but not here. The waiter was very apologetic but the kitchen was so slow and the food just wasn’t very good for any of us. It’s not fun having to scream at each other to carry on a conversation and have to sit in uncomfortable chairs for 2 hours. Also, almost everything is made with some type of alcohol so do keep that in mind if you are allergic ;).

It was our first visit to Root & Branch bistro + bar and it certainly won’t be our last! We loved everything about our experience! The food was delicious, our waitress was extraordinary and the ambiance was perfect! We can’t wait to return and try more of their fabulous dishes and cocktails!

Service was good. Food was good but on the mediocre side. French fries served to two people were cold however the server replaced them promptly with a dish of hot fries. The background noise level from conversation level throughout the restaurant, music and TV was very high and irritating.

We thought the Anniversary special cocktail hour was done quite well. The liquor tastings was an excellent idea. If I’m to find fault, is some of the food items and dessert did not make it out for us to sample.

The Tostado was not good. Was it supposed to be cold or hot -- a strange combo of bland ingredients. This is my fourth or fifth brunch at Roots. After recommending Roots to the friends I came with, I was embarrassed to have raved about how good your brunch is. What happened to shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes? Very disappointing.

Annie, I am so sorry that the crab tostada was not to your liking. It is one of my very favorite dishes. I will take your feedback to our kitchen to see what could have occurred. We serve our dinner menu all day on Sunday and sent out many Shrimp and Grits meals along with numerous orders of Fried Green Tomatoes. Root & Branch is one of our favorite local restaurants. The wait staff are always very attentive, and go the extra mile to make your experience great. James last night helped us get a modified version of one of the items on the menu, and made sure that everything was prepared properly. Also the rest of the staff steps in to help each other, so that your food is perfect temperature when it gets to your table. This was our first time working with James, and he was very conscientious, but did not “hover” allowing us to have a wonderful time enjoying our food. The space that Root and Branch is in, is a fairly high ceilinged space, and the noise level can get “energetic” at times, especially if there are large groups, but it isn’t generally what you would call too loud for personal conversation at your own table. We highly recommend Root & Branch to our friends, for consistently high quality food and service. Congratulations to Root & Branch, as they celebrate 5 years in business.

I think we practically ordered 1 of every entree on the menu because we couldn’t decide. Our waiter Sean guided me to an amazing cocktail to start (get the elderflower and gin drink or the espresso martini), kudos to the bartender, and everything else he recommended and the kitchen sent out was beyond spectacular. The house made gnocchi is literally a chef’s kiss dish and the steak was cooked beautifully. The shrimp and grits had huge pieces of pork belly and the grits were so creamy. The salmon was the best salmon we’ve ever eaten and we have literally fished our own salmon in Alaska and had it prepared the same night. For dessert we had cheesecake, The apple crumble dessert and the flourless chocolate cake- all three of which were devoured. Beyond 10/10 - 20/10!

Our server Jon was so delightful and amazing! He was spot on about the fried green tomatoes and the drunken scallops! The smoked cheddar in the shrimp and grits along with the bacon, shrimp and pickled tomatoes was a beautiful symphony of flavor. The pork chop was seared and roasted to perfection. Finished off with creme brûlée that was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The beautiful presentation of every dish was fabulous! My gin martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives (thanks Jon) was a great start to my dining experience. I highly recommend giving Root & Branch Bistro & Bar a try. You won’t be disappointed. We celebrated my husband's birthday at Root and Branch. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very attentive to our needs. The cocktails were on point and refreshing. Kudos to the chef!
