Located in the historic Fulton Market district of Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, Rose Mary is Chef/Owner Joe Flamm’s debut restaurant inspired by his Italian heritage and the bold, bright flavors of Croatian cuisine. The boisterous space—named for Flamm’s grandmothers, Mary and Mary Rose, and the herb rosemary, which grows natively along the Italian and Croatian coastlines—offers a seasonal menu of rustic yet refined dishes that encapsulate what Flamm has coined “Adriatic drinking food”.

    Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Every dish on its own was incredible- beautiful, balanced flavors. Hard to choose a favorite among the 6 or so things we tried.

    Excellent food! Just delicious- we wanted to lick the plates!! Service was exceptional also. Aside from being extremely loud, it was a perfect night. We had the delicata squash, shrimp, carrot risotto and ribs. Drinks were great too!!

    Some of the dishes were over salted with the large flakes and the cavepi was burned and dry - disappointing.

    We were hustled through dinner from the moment we sat down. We didn’t get to enjoy our drinks because appetizers arrived moments after we ordered, plates were whisked away & next course came out immediately. It was a fast food experience with fine dining prices. We were in & out in under an hour. Our food was tasty but nothing overly exciting. Such a poor experience. If this is supposed to be an Italian experience then it failed- for in Italy you are there to enjoy the meal. Here, we were just another table to be turned.

    This was an amazing nigh for us. We enjoyed the entire meal. The food and the service were impeccable and would definitely come here again for a date night.
