At Rosie Cannonball, we’re serving European comfort food in a lively atmosphere. The restaurant celebrates the origins of cooking through open, live fire and is centered around a wood-burning oven and grill.

The menu draws inspiration from individual ingredients: local vegetables, pastas and pizzas, simple seafood and locally-sourced meat cooked over live fire.

Master Sommelier June Rodil curated an expansive list of delicious wines with a strong Italian, Spanish and French focus from their favorite producers new and old, along with options from progressive New World producers.

The cocktail menu has strong Italian influences, mirroring the focus of the food.

Last year, some of our team—Felipe, Austin, June, and Amber—visited the A.A. Badenhorst Family Winery in the Swartland of South Africa to cook live-fire food for their incredible wine festival—The Swartland Gospel. It was a blast for all involved, and now they’re returning the favor with a visit to Rosie Cannonball! We’ll be recreating some of the dishes we cooked last summer, and Adi Badenhorst himself will be there with us pouring his delicious wines to pair

Seriously such a gem in Houston! Amazing live fire cooking, pastas, wood fired pizzas, and drinks / wine list. The vibes are great. But most of all, this restaurant consistently has the best service! Special shout out to Grace who went above and beyond - she knew my dining companion and I were enamored with their Jono Pandolfi dinnerware, and she went out of her way (at our request) to show us different pieces they use at the restaurant. The 9-10 pizza happy hour is also one of the best deals in town. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

The service is excellent. Our server Carly (sp?) is so accommodating and attentive. She is excellent. The food is delicious. The new eggplant dish was a standout, along with the honey cake for dessert. All around fantastic experience!

I love the food, but I really really miss the penne A la vodka. That needs to come back asap. The food was good, but got cold very quick which made it not as good. The Montrose Mami is a great drink to get.

Quickly taking the top tier spot as my favorite place! Blistered bean salad will always be the best thing on the menu and that mussel pasta is to die for. I wish they would bring back the chocolate ice cream with olive oil and salt, but make it dairy free. Martinis are fire too!

Excellent food! Great service. Really nice atmosphere. The tables are just really close together and the restaurant is very loud. It’s easier to hear people at other tables than then person sitting across from you.
