Really great food with seasonal menu items. I had the white fish with potatoes and a roasted tomato topped with spinach and artichoke. It was fantastic.

What a wonderful dinner experience after a long day of walking around Mackinac Island. Our server, Kevin was amazing. Personable, professional, and attentive. He went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. Rick, the manager was on top of everything and offered us a good choice with the boat of ice cream for dessert. The chef brought out our food personally and it was plated beautifully. Recommend highly.

Ordered a $55 steak and this steak had every temperature in it. I ordered it medium and I had parts that were well done, and rare. The potatoes were raw. Extremely disappointed for the price of this restaurant and the quality of the food. I would never go back.

Nice dinner. Food was plated beautifully. Only 2steak medallions for dinner selection. Unable to substitute daily soup for salad. Was expecting “something” for a celebration that I placed in my reservation but nothing was said or sent/arrive to the table. Would consider it in the future.

The design of the restaurant space makes it a loud location. Food was good. Ordered a steak medium rare and it came out medium well to well done. But the staff was more than happy to fix.

It was okay, I expected a little more of a wow favor but it wasn’t there. I booked the reservation for my bday and no dessert :( not a big deal just hoped for a better experience. Food was good.

Lovely on the patio. Great food! Great service! Beautiful flowers and view of the grounds and lake. Tables situated 8’ apart. Unfortunately the 2 tables by us decided to carry on a conversation with each other across the aisle for the entire meal. This was not too bad. But what was bad was the 2 dogs that sat at the table behind us, also carrying on a conversation.

Not enough wait staff for demand. Had reservations and this is first time in 4 years we had to wait for our table a half hour. No coffee carafes left at the tables, due to shortage, coffee gets cold quick then no coffee fill ups or check ups on food therefore eat meal without getting refills on beverages. Hmmm. Need better management of reservations. Sat people without reservation which made us wait. Is that fair?

Waited a bit, but service was good once ordered. Not enough staff for breakfast crowd. No pastry’s with breakfast. No offers is pastries either from years past. Same $$ but less for the $$ I’m glad kids still eat free. Yay

Wouldnt revisit. Let’s start with the plus: beautiful scenery, wonderful server. The bad: the food and the value. No one finished their entrees- chicken was dry, and the salad was a mess.

Sat on the patio, nice ambience and view. Server was very nice. Despite not being busy, food took almost 45 minutes. Food was only ‘OK’. Burrata salad was very salty, fries were lukewarm. Location was nice at it is past the busiest part of the main strip.

Beautiful view of the lake from the window seats in the bar and they have a gorgeous covered outdoor deck. We had drinks and dinner with an incredible view. We ordered the General Tso Cauliflower appetizer and it was average and a little on the bland side. The beef and barley soup was delicious. My husband ordered the Lake Superior Whitefish entree but it was so fishy he wasn’t able to eat it. The artichoke spinach side dish served in the tomato crown was excellent but the mashed potatoes had little flavor. I had the beef medallions with sautéed spinach and chive mashed potatoes. The beef and sautéed spinach were good but again the mashed potatoes were bland. We would probably order the MPR Burger or the chicken sandwich if we come back again.

White fish was very good. Big deck. Overall great. Had a party next to us with some young kids that were screaming with excitement off an on. Now I remember those times (my kids were with us 20,17 and 16). We would have kept the excitement to a low roar since it affect the people having dinner next to you. Reasonable for the island and a pleasant experience.

Awful experience and terrible food! We made a reservation and had to wait an additional 25 minutes before being seated, and that was only after we asked the hostess what was going on. Once we were seated we waited another 10 minutes for water and another 20 minutes for drinks. Our perch dinners for 3 of us arrived almost 2 hrs after our reservation was supposed to start and it was terrible. The mashed potatoes were bland and cold. The perch was advertised as sautéed with a light caper lemon butter sauce, but was fried, dry, and the sauce was non-existent. We complained and they comped 1 of our dinners, but the meal was still $137 total! I felt sorry for my 83 year old mother who barely touched her food. What a huge disappointment!

The location and service was great. The meal was typical for the island. Wife and daughter had the medallions and enjoyed their meal. Son had the wings and thought they were good. I had the three cheese grilled cheese sandwich which I didn’t think was very good. We would go back, I would select something different. The view is great and it was a very relaxing meal.

Beautiful views of the Straits of Mackinac - we attended for brunch and the food was delicious and many options. A great option if you want to get out of downtown and have a meal with a view

The food was delicious. Our waitress was very nice. However, the dining room was full of flies...3 on our table and I could see more than 10 at any time without trying. This shouldn't happen at this price point. Additionally, service was a little slow and our appetizer came out with the entre. Wish them the best in the future, but at this time we don't recommend Round Island for a nice dinner.

Service was very good-but food was not great. Ordered a charcuterie board and it was just ok. Went for lunch and ate inside. There were lots of flies and it took away from experience.

If you don’t mind sticky tables and a few flies buzzing around go for it. As guests of the hotel we were sadly disappointed. We were not able to sit outside due to weather so we were sat in bar area. The view was great but that was about the only great part. It took about 20 minutes to get our beer after a few attempts. Apparently the draft we selected was out and then the bottled beer we selected as second choice was also not available. After try number 3 and about 20 minutes we finally got a beer. The food ended up being good and our server did a pretty good job despite the mix ups on the beer. Overall just a disappointment as our hopes were high thinking this was a higher end place. It’s no better than a typical local bar joint. Not terrible but certainly not up to what we were expecting.
