Southern style American Barbecue is an institution in itself. Contrary to quickly grilled meats at high temperatures on an open flame, Southern Style Barbecue consists of a gentle slow process where the meat cooks with the smoke generated from the wood fire. RUBS’ unique recipes have been crafted using Quebec grown sweet Maple wood for a taste like none other.

    La viande était délicieuse! Nous avons pris le plateau texan pour deux et il y avait une belle variété. Le plat était bien rempli et la quantité plus que suffisante pour deux. Nous avons été très déçus par les nachos… aucun fromage fondu dessus simplement du fromage liquide et un peu de sauce, pas très bon. Je retournerais pour la viande uniquement.

    Thoroughly disappointed. First and last time unfortunately-only good part was the ribs, just the ribs and nothing else really. My little one ordered the Mac and cheese and I couldn’t even stomach it, he ate nothing in the end. My eldest had the burger with max and cheese and was not good either. Husbands ribs were great and my food was waffle and fried chicken- really not good. Sorry Rubs I really wanted to like you!

    Here are a few highs and lows: Server was very nice. Ribs are usually good, but this time very dry. Great carrot cake! Bring back the old fries! The seating when you're 5 people is not really ideal. There is always one person that feels a little excluded from the group. Lighting a little too dim.

    Being longtime OpenTable members we booked a supper at Rubs BBQ Laval st-rose . The reservation was accepted and once we presented ourselves the reservation was honoured. We had our meal the starter Texas Onion blossom was stale tasted like it was made the night before and simply reheated. The chicken waffle I had was impressive but soso. Would not recommend it . My wife had the pork chop , it was over cooked and dry . thanks for the abondance of sauce slathered all over it to help eat it . Not recommended .

    Great restaurant for a family type of outing. The ribs, burgers and poutines are top notch. Ownership is always there to make sure you are satisfied. Overall just a great restaurant.

    Share blooming onion with 3-4 people or you will be too full yo eat. We shared 9 tacos ,tacos a bit bland as we like spicy.

    The table surface was sticky . The waitress brought us 3 napkins we were 4 people I mean come on , no napkins for 28 dollars plate ??? The glasses were dirty. No ice cubes in the water . I am disappointed, you cannot just take the customers for granted.

    The entree, chicken wings were really overdone, no sau e for fries or chicken the jalapeño entre was great & the ribs were good. It's the first time (out of 3 times) that I wasn't really satisfied...

    Prices have gone up significantly French fries have changed and are not as good Sauces are extra Very sticky floors $6 charge to change regular fries to sweet potato fries Diluted drinks-couldn't taste the gin in one and the tequila in the other Meat tasted very good-we had the platter for 2 Tiny entree of Mac n cheese which is not actually macaroni

    Waited all week to have some thing that was on the menu the prime rib sandwich only to be told they don’t have any more. How can a barbeque place not have prime rib also another item, which they didn’t have was very disappointed with the quality of the food I ordered. Needless to say will not be returning anytime soon after spending $150 for something really not worth it, sorry my experience I don’t mean to bash anyone

    The food was very good although the wait is what influenced my rating we got seated right away and order 5 min later ( we ordered our entrees and food at the same time since we were quite hungry and knew what we wanted.) we waited 29 min for our entrees and then 20 more minutes for our main courses. Although besides that the food was good!

    1. Although the food was good, my daughter did not get what she ordered. She ordered a dish based on the description on the website. There was no description on the in-restaurant menu. As a result, the dish was very different from what she expected. The toppings were all wrong. The waitress brought only one of the toppings (the avocado cream) advertised on-line and we were given a 10% discount on the meal which amounted to $1.80. They could have offered at least 25%. Menu on-line should be corrected to accurately reflect the in-restaurant menu. 2. I reserved for 6:30 on-line 2 weeks prior to our chosen evening. I received a call from Rubs 2 days before our dinner saying that they had 2 seatings: 5:00 and 7:00. Could we change our reservation. When I said that some could not make it earlier that our 6:30 reservation, I was told that she would consult her manager. Perhaps we would be able to keep our time. She would get back to me. No one called back. Restaurant had few customers when we arrived at 6:15, many more by 7:30 but there were still empty tables. 3. Onion blossom very good. My husband said that his ribs in his ribs/chicken combo were dry but that the chicken was very good.
