Rumi's Kitchen - Sandy Springs
Rumi’s Kitchen - Sandy Springs draws influence from the culinary mother of the Middle East, Persia, which spanned from the banks of the Nile River in the west to the mountains of Northern India in the east, and from the shores of the Caspian Sea in the north to the deserts of Arabia in the south of the Persian Gulf.
Noise level was beyond energetic. Place was jammed. Food was great as usual.
We could not have a conversation at the table. I could not understand nor hear our handsome waiter.
This was6:30 pm on a Thursday night.
Doubt I’ll do this again.
We love Rumi’s Kitchen and it is my 93-year-old Father’s fave restaurant. We normally go for lunch and went for dinner this time. It was fine for me but the music was pretty loud after about 6:30. In the future we will stick with lunch. The food is always amazing and the restaurant itself is stylish and comfortable. Love the wine list and cocktails.
The noise was so loud on a Wednesday night that we could not stay. We did not want to yell throughout our meal. It was the worst noise in any restaurant I've been in.
Delicious food with great service!
Fantastic restaurant...one of our favorite in Atlanta
They always seat you much later than acceptable. It is much too noisy. The food is not as good as I remember it from about a year ago. We will not go again because there are many better options.
I had previously been to Rumi’s Kitchen at Avalon with a friend of mine and had a great experience. My boyfriend and I went last week to the Sandy Spring’s location and we had an incredible experience there. The food is wonderful and very fresh. Their service is impeccable. The waiters are all very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and really give great suggestions. I would recommend Rumi’s Kitchen to anyone I know.
Wonderful attentive staff. Our niece is vegan. The waitress offered great suggestions. It’s the first time I saw my niece eat everything that was served to her.
We eat out a lot. Seriously - a lot. When I tell you the service and food were the best that we have had, trust me. Rumi’s is unlike any place you have been in Atlanta. Waiters, hostesses, managers, bartenders and chefs all wear discreet hearing/speaking devices (imagine secret service talking into their wrists), so as to communicate their customers’ needs and ensure they are attended to within seconds. Gustavo our manager and Kardi our waiter went above and beyond in order to make our first Rumi’s experience unbelievably memorable. In fact after tonight, my girlfriend and I have decided to plan a 50th birthday party there. Yeah thats how special this place and these people are! Hats off to you!!
Our group of eleven lunched at Rumi’s to celebrate a birthday. The service was great. The servers were patient with our guests whose age ranged from 7 to 99. The food was excellent. The only negative was the noise level. I would not eat there.again, unless I could be assured seating in a more quiet setting.
Terrific, memorable experience! Food was delicious (lamb kabob and lamb shank). Service was on point. My friend got baklava and ice cream to celebrate his birthday. Waiter took our picture.
We had a wonderful dinner at Rumi's. The waitstaff was very attentive, helpful, and gave good wine and drink recommendations. The place was hopping! So popular, yet we were not rushed at all. Food was hot and delicious. It's one of our favorite places!
Ridiculously cold dining area. Everyone around us had to wear coats. Main door openings let cold air rush in and no attempt by the restaurant to heat the area--simple fixes. Noise level is high and food servings actually too big. Drinks were like computer pours--very limited in liquor quantity. I was really disappointed in Rumi's after hearing what a good place it was.
Service is as good as ever; food is excellent. The salmon never disappoints!
Service was slow and food was not hot
Great food and heavy portion... carb and protein loaded, which I like. Definitely not a light meal.
From the moment you step in, you feel as if you have traveled to Iran. From the music, to the hospitality, to the smell of the food and the bread. This restaurant is the next best thing next to home.
Always love it. Lots of high energy and great food. Fabulous waiters.
Excellent fresh food. Wonderful service. Nobody rushes you.
My favorite restaurant in Sandy Springs! Consistently delicious and good experience overall.
We’ve eaten at Rumi’s several times and it is consistently awesome. It can be a bit loud here, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, among the best Persian food I’ve ever had. We went to another similar restaurant and had lamb kabobs. I complained to the waiter and manager because it was no where close to Rumi’s. When they hear we had been to Rumi’s, they knew we had experienced the best.
Good quality food, beverages and service.
Not worth the money. Too loud to talk comfortably without yelling. Lots of kids there. Food is kind of bland. Only went because was given a gift card to this specific restaurant. I can say the cocktails were good.
The server was very attentive and helped us navigate the menu. They treated us to baklava (delicious!) and cardamom ice cream for my birthday. The chicken kabobs, rice, and veges were all flavorful and cooked perfectly.
I had trouble rating this restaurant in that I love this restaurant and the food is amazing! The problem is, even with a reservation you wait, and wait, and wait for a table in a very crowded noisy entry that makes it very uncomfortable to wait. Once seated, service is attentive and food arrives in a timely manner and it’s outstanding! Yes I’ll go back, but be prepared to wait.
Place for kabobs, good bar selection, food good to very good. Different cuisine to try, worth a visit.
Wonderful as always!!! Everything tastes so fresh and so many choices !! Can’t wait to come back again
My family and I love Rumi’s! The food is so delicious and staff is always friendly and do a great job! We have never had a bad experience. Love, love, love!
Outstanding experience! Excellent food, good value for money. This is my 3rd time there, and I keep being amazed at the quality and fantastic flavors of the dishes. Beautiful décor and great ambiance as well.
Our server Georgeena (sp?) was amazing and the recommendations she gave really made our night! Thank you!!
Rumi's is delicious! Great for a date night or a large group of friends. You can eat family style with enough to go around twice! Wait staff is super attentive and will help you make selections if you are new to Persian food or the restaurant itself.
Ambiance was great. Service took a while but the manager did well to accommodate and help us out. Food was good but the chicken was dry and my friend’s lamb was over cooked.
The menu was excellent with choices. Food was wonderful and so was the service. Thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered appetizers and then split an entree. It was perfect. Great decor and ambiance.
Good food and atmosphere, though a bit noisy. The place was packed the night I went, which is good, and the vibe is really good. It's just a bit noisy so a nice quiet table is not what you'll get. Also, the first two wines I ordered were not available after ordering. Twice the server had to return to tell me they were out. They need to either keep their inventory stocked or keep tabs on what wines are out of stock before ordering. It was a little awkward and frustrating. The food was excellent--the salmon was very large and perfectly cooked, and the lamb chops outstanding. All in all, I highly recommend it.
we are impressed every time we visit. definitely a "go-back-gain" favorite.
On New Years Day, we went to Rumi's to enjoy what we had hoped would be a lovely meal. Instead, we were seated next to a couple with a wide age gap, the younger of whom felt compelled to start howling "F" bombs because the other had, evidently without her permission, paid her daughter's tuition. Everyone in that part of the restaurant (about 20 or 30 diners) was treated to her blaring. After the dozenth F bomb and other favorite insults of the creatively impaired, I got up and reminded them that I was paying for an expensive meal and that the bottom of a rural ditch might be a more appropriate place for their discussion. The older idiot came and apologized later. He did not, however, offer to pay for our meal, which cost us more than $100 dollars and was utterly ruined by him and his darling. You might think this is not Rumi's fault, but it is. Multiple servers would have heard the screaming, as would the hostess and bartender, and they acted like what was going on was business as usual. Nor did a Rumi's employee offer to bring the manager by as they saw us boxing up our food and preparing to pay and leave after 15 minutes.
Shannon was a fabulous server!
As always great food and service. Enjoyed NYE there.
Rumi's is our absolute favorite place to dine in Atlanta. The service and food are always impeccable! Highly recommend!
