Went in for mother's day brunch. Food was really good. We sat on the patio after the rush so it was pretty quiet. My only wish was that the menu could have more options.
Great food, great service.
Fun place, good service. Food wasn’t great. Best were the fried chicken and the cheese. Cod was too fried, charcuterie mediocre.
There is no pork on the menu. Seriously. WTF?
Even at happy hour, food was pricy, and not very good. Our fish was half batter and supposed to "feed 2 people" and a kid could have eaten the whole thing. Won't return and it's two blocks from home.
I’d follow them on Instagram so I was really looking forward to dining there. The food was ok. The bread for our cheese and meat board was overdone and our gnocchi was over cooked. Our server was good, attentive. It was ok, I wouldn’t rush to go back.
Not just overpriced but food is at best similar that you could get at the Stampede.
Would not go there unless I had no other option
Took me a year to finally make my way down there but so worth the wait. Great tapas, atmosphere and service. Unfortunately couldn’t get the tuna tartare so will be returning soon...
It was so noisy we had to yell to hear each other. Nice to have live music but there are so many people crowded in and so very hard to hear.
The musician that sang this Saturday was amazing. It was a bit loud so trying to chat was challenging but the music was so good we didn’t really care to chat!!!! The food and service were okay. Our server didn’t really know what was on the menu and didn’t make any recommendations. The short rib and donuts were awesome, gnocchi was okay, and the cauliflower was also okay. Overall I love this restaurant and excited for patio season there!!
Live music begins at 8:00 pm on Saturday. Too loud to carry on conversation.
Food is AMAZING! Cocktails a little on the steep side.
3 trip to Run Pig Run in a few weeks after randomly selecting it one night as a place to try. This restaurant has now landing in our list of "go to" places. Fantastic food, great drinks, and this past weekend they had live music (unbeknownst to our booking) which only added to the evening.
The tables are small and very close together. We were moved into the window seat which was quite nice except the table there was very large which made the “shared plates” a little awkward. The cocktails were unique and delicious! The food was tasty and nicely served.
Great food, average service
Food was mediocre and service was terrible, despite it being quiet. They forgot something we ordered and didn’t even offer us desserts or more drinks. We found them to get the bill and decided to go across the street for dessert and more drinks.
Lovely food but the restaurant smelt like tuna fish
We enjoyed an early get together with friends sharing several tasty dishes (much like a tapis bar) before heading off to an evening event.
I had come to Pig Run Pig before and it was amazing. I don’t know what happened but my last experience was a huge disappointment. Our food was either bland or a plate of mush, I had the Pumba cocktail which was basically a cup of pork broth with some Tabasco added to it.
Our server didn’t really check up on us and when we were getting ready to leave it was difficult to find any staff upstairs.
First time at Run Pig Run and it was great. The food was amazing and cocktails are very good. Our server Tavin was amazing and made our night great. He recommend great food and drink choices and was very attentive! Would definitely recommend!!
Loved the food!!! It was an early Easter brunch for us, the food was great and it was easy to share between us.
Delicious! Great wine list. Great happy hour. Will be back!
Delicious food and fantastic service! We absolutely loved our dinner here and will be back without a doubt.
Excellent all-day happy hour on Sundays, as well!
Very fun place to have drinks and get to know someone.
Food was good, but I thought the portions were pretty small especially when 4 people are doing it tapas style.
Our server was very polite but seemed to be stretched too thin. Waited far too long to get tot order or brig is drinks. Was disappointing in that regard. Food was good
Waitress settled our tab because she was cut because it was too slow and mentioned another waiter would take over and he never showed up. Say there for a good 20mins and decided to leave
Brunch service starts at 11:30am, which feels a bit later considering many brunch places are packed by 10:30am, but it’s well worth the trip. It’s also very nice that you can make a reso, as many of our regular brunch locations are first come first serve. Adam was an excellent in taking care of us, and helped us make the difficult choice between chicken waffles (exactly as seen on their IG profile) and cinnamon bun french toast. Decided to get both and share! They were splendid. The atmosphere feels like a cozy cabin, and the food fits the ambience perfectly. Not super busy, although the food is divine and well worth it.
Love this place! They don’t have a giant selection in their menus but you can’t go wrong with whatever you order because they’ve perfected each dish. The avocado toast is one of my favorites and the chicken whether as a stand alone or with their waffles is sweet and delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Bartender and server were fun and knowledgeable. Food was wonderful. Wine list is terrific. We will be back.
The restaurant was literally empty on a Friday night!
Appies and cocktails were really good.
Overall food was amazing, cocktails were inventive and extremely tasty. I felt although it was only a Thursday, and probably not the busiest of nights perhaps one more server would have been nice, just to keep up with drink orders!
Servers were friendly and explained the family style well in how to portion per person! Would definitely return and have already recommended!
Went with a few friends for Big Taste YYC. The food was quite good but we had poor service. After not great general service she then forgot to give us the required discount on the wine. When I asked about it she didn't know what to do as one of us had already paid - the decision was to just ask that person to eat the extra cost. Very poor way to end the experience.
Dani was a fantastic server and her recommendations were spot on (“Fried chicken is a game changer”. True story)
I bragged about the meal to the lunchroom at work today and sang the praises of your Sunday happy hour.
We’ll be back, I’m sure
Service was a bit slow but great overall.
Will be back for sure to taste more of that great menu.
We were overall disappointed. We went to try the Big Taste. Additionally we also ordered the fried chicken. We liked the fried chicken however it need more syrup. We ordered what I expected to be their “feature” items - pork belly and gnocchi max & cheese and the porchetta. All of our food was bland. No salt and pepper on table, they need it or to step up their flavour game. The pork belly was dry and tasteless, no sauce or marinade and dried right out. The porchetta was tough and chewy and bland. Portion sizing was small for the price and the food quality. They need to step up there game if they expect to last in such a highly competitive downtown market. Service and ambiance were nice. Will try many others on our list before returning.
I was there for the Big Taste Menu and I found the gnocchi mac and cheese was didn't not have very much cheese. The pork on top of it didn't have much flavour either. Overall it was a bland meal. The restaurant has nice decor and our server was very good but I wasn't impressed with the food.
We felt very rushed. The table was too small when server brings all 3-4 sharing plates at once. Either plate them in the kitchen and bring on a plate per person. Or stage the delivery of food such that you’re eating only one shared plate at a time.
Our server was very good and attentive- but food was rushed and felt she was hovering before we finished our plates. The whole eating experience was very uncomfortable.
Booked this restaurant for a large party for my wife’s birthday. They were very accommodating and created a custom menu within our budget. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and efficient. I would certainly come back again!
