   We visited Banff and wanted to experience The Banff Springs Hotel as unfortunately we were not staying as a hotel guest. We booked the Afternoon Tea and would highly recommend it! The view from the upper level of the Rundle Bar out across the river and mountains was spectacular! The atmosphere was ambient and the service was 5 Star from Erica & Ashley. Erica took us through a detailed description of the expansive tea variety and made excellent recommendations as well as each delicious morsel of food on the tower! The glass of sparkling to start was also a great touch! There was plenty of food and we could not get through it all! Overall a highlight from our visit to Banff and based on our experience we look forward to returning as hotel guests!

   The afternoon tea experience is not worth the money. The bread is dried out and the flavors are lacking. Far too many sweet pastry options and not enough savory bites. Grab a drink or bite at the first floor bar/restaurant instead, or the patio. Same great views.

   We had a wonderful time with Rick, who really went out of his way to share his expertise and curate an awesome experience! Learned tons about cocktails, had tasty snacks and drinks, and really got a unique perspective on Banff. Would highly recommend.

   The setting and the environment were nothing short of spectacular, which is why a person visits here, especially for a special occasion such as Mother's Day with an Afternoon Tea. The selection of teas and foods were broad-ranging and exquisitely presented. All had stunning flavours and textures making it an splendid afternoon. We arrived a bit early and were accommodated without issue or fuss. We took our time with relaxed conversations, wonderful flavours, and the stagger vista. We were never rushed and were visited by our server on a comfortable pace and regularity. Two hours later, we departed supremely satisfied. The one drawback was the live piano. We were situated upstairs right up against the windows with the best view in the bar. Amazingly enough the live piano, situated in the furthest location to us, would regularly overpower our conversation. We felt sorry for those people seated so close to it. Being about an hour away, in Calgary, coming here for the day to celebrate is not uncommon. The level of service, the level of food quality, and the level of the experience are commensurate with the investment you will be making for all this. It is a world-class hotel which operates seamlessly at this level.

    The afternoon tea experience was fabulous! This was my first time and WOW. The teas were incredible, we even bought some of the special jasmine tea to take home. The food was excellent and the desserts were to die for. Our server was Pilar. She was one of the best servers I have ever had and we travel all over the world. So descriptive, friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back again!

    Excellent food, slightly changed from last time we went, but for the better. Very busy so service was slower than normal, that being said the servers were very attentive and explained when the food was. Thot enjoyed the experience, capped off with a wonderful view.

    The setting is undeniably stunning over looking Mt Rundle, Bow River. The “afternoon tea” experience was definitely value for money. Our personal waitress, Erica knew her teas, she was informative and friendly throughout.

    The price was expensive for what we got. A glass of sparkling wine, pot of tea and a few finger sandwiches and small desserts were not worth the price of $200+ for two people. The service was very good. Our server was very attentive. Parking was also a challenge. The one plus was we were able to park in the front entrance because the parking lot was full. There were only 4 people in the restaurant having this experience. This is not an experience many local people would be able to afford to take part in. Maybe should reconsider in the future.

    2nd time there for high tea. 1st time was egg shells in my scone. 2nd time was a lobster shell in my savory bite. 1st time, my guest and I were comped a drink. 2nd time, I was given a replacement savory bite that I didnt want. For the price tag of over 100 pp and 50 for parking, I would have either expected perfection with the food or something comped on my bill. This is the Banff Springs! I have never had anything like this happen at The Mac. That being said, everything else was wonderful including the majestic scenery.

    Such a nice atmosphere and beautiful view to have high tea. The staff were all so kind. If you have mobility issues it can be a bit tricky but other than that it was amazing.

    We enjoyed afternoon tea at the Rundle bar during our stay at Fairmont Banff Springs. The food and tea were delicious and exquisitely prepared. Our entire table (we celebrated my daughters 9th birthday) was pleased. The views from the Rundle bar were incredible. In the evenings, my husband and I enjoyed after drinks at the bar. This place was one of the favorite experiences of our stay. Highly recommended.

    The ambiance and view are the best! My daughter and I had a lovely time enjoying afternoon tea. I was surprised by how completely full we were- the food tasty and beautiful. It’s a bit pricy but worth it for such a special experience.

    We enjoyed afternoon tea with amazing food and the best views. We had outstanding service and enjoyed a very leisurely afternoon for a couple of hours sipping tea, eating sandwiches and bite-sized dessert. We left refreshed and full! (I am a vegetarian and they made delicious substitutions for me- my husband is not a vegetarian and enjoyed the traditional menu.)

    We signed up for the Cocktail making class at the upper bar. It was beautifully set up when we arrived. Vicente was our bartendered - he was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, funny. He shared his stories from Havana, Cuba. He was very engaging with the group of us. We loved all three cocktails!

    The view and the weather was terrific. Our waiter did an excellent job and his service was outstanding. The tea could have been kept warm at the table, the food was mediocre except for the scones which were tasty.

    Overall: An amazing and unforgettable experience - thank you so much! Afternoon Tea: A culinary delight and artistic creation - composition, variety, flavor combinations, and presentation (individual items and collectively, on the modern metal tiered tower). Our Hostess: Sarah is a treasure! She established quick rapport while being professional; made us feel very welcomed and special, paced our tea beautifully, answered our questions, took pictures of us... perfect in every way! The Ambiance: A great view from a table by the large picture window, beautiful room, and superb background music (playlist was excellent). Nice gesture from management to check in with us as to how our experience had been. Highly recommend this experience!

    Ahhhh, I wanted to love this so badly. We disappointed with the Cocktail Class. First, they oversold the class, and the bartender was vocal and stressed about this. The gent giving the class was really good. The experience was rushed as they had an event afterwards, so it was 45 mins, and out you go. Perhaps they are always 45 mins, but we would have loved to stay and have another drink or two. It was a bit deceptive in the explanation, as snacks = 1 bowl of spiced popcorn for you to share with your +1. Also, if you book as a pair, you must share the 3 cocktails. Lastly, when you arrive, they have 3 bottles of pre-made cocktails out on the bar per person, you only get to take 1 and not all 3. This felt a bit deceptive and was an underwhelming way to end an experience. You can buy the others for $21 each. My final grievance was the use of a homemade Campari for one cocktail without a mention of a substitution, not what you would expect for an establishment of this stature. Definitely try this if you are looking for a fun experience to spend 45 mins and share a few cocktails. It is interactive and you get to do a bit of shaking to keep things fun. The setting and bar decor can’t be beat.

    The Banff springs rundown room is always a delightful experience. The staff were polite and responsive. Very good communications. We had the perfect table for the breathtaking views! The chairs are not as accommodating and comfortable. They look comfy, but are not. The food is top grade and delicious. We rarely come because the cost is so high, and it has increased substantially over the last 3-4 years. But, we also understand that value, skill, specific environment, experiences do come with a high price tag. It was worth it!

    We went for my husbands birthday. This is the only time I have gone somewhere for a birthday without any sort of recognition - no extra sandwich/cake. This wasn’t a huge deal, just disappointing considering the prices. The prices are nearly double what you’d pay in Calgary. Service was very very slow - it took over 30 mins for tea to be brought to us, and longer still for food. I also find that the handling of gluten allergies isn’t good - last time I was there, I forgot to mention a gluten allergy in advance of arrival, and was berated by the serving staff. This time I did call in advance to remind them of the allergy. I have gone to many different high tea locations in Calgary and Vancouver, and the Banff Springs is the only one that requires advance notice of an allergy. This gives the impression that food is not freshly prepared each day.
