    The ambiance and view are the best! My daughter and I had a lovely time enjoying afternoon tea. I was surprised by how completely full we were- the food tasty and beautiful. It’s a bit pricy but worth it for such a special experience.

    Having afternoon tea at the Rundle Bar is a must. A wonderful experience, tea was lovely, food was delicious, and staff was very knowledgeable and attentive.

    We signed up for the Cocktail making class at the upper bar. It was beautifully set up when we arrived. Vicente was our bartendered - he was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, funny. He shared his stories from Havana, Cuba. He was very engaging with the group of us. We loved all three cocktails!

    The view and the weather was terrific. Our waiter did an excellent job and his service was outstanding. The tea could have been kept warm at the table, the food was mediocre except for the scones which were tasty.

    Overall: An amazing and unforgettable experience - thank you so much! Afternoon Tea: A culinary delight and artistic creation - composition, variety, flavor combinations, and presentation (individual items and collectively, on the modern metal tiered tower). Our Hostess: Sarah is a treasure! She established quick rapport while being professional; made us feel very welcomed and special, paced our tea beautifully, answered our questions, took pictures of us... perfect in every way! The Ambiance: A great view from a table by the large picture window, beautiful room, and superb background music (playlist was excellent). Nice gesture from management to check in with us as to how our experience had been. Highly recommend this experience!

    Ahhhh, I wanted to love this so badly. We disappointed with the Cocktail Class. First, they oversold the class, and the bartender was vocal and stressed about this. The gent giving the class was really good. The experience was rushed as they had an event afterwards, so it was 45 mins, and out you go. Perhaps they are always 45 mins, but we would have loved to stay and have another drink or two. It was a bit deceptive in the explanation, as snacks = 1 bowl of spiced popcorn for you to share with your +1. Also, if you book as a pair, you must share the 3 cocktails. Lastly, when you arrive, they have 3 bottles of pre-made cocktails out on the bar per person, you only get to take 1 and not all 3. This felt a bit deceptive and was an underwhelming way to end an experience. You can buy the others for $21 each. My final grievance was the use of a homemade Campari for one cocktail without a mention of a substitution, not what you would expect for an establishment of this stature. Definitely try this if you are looking for a fun experience to spend 45 mins and share a few cocktails. It is interactive and you get to do a bit of shaking to keep things fun. The setting and bar decor can’t be beat.

    The Banff springs rundown room is always a delightful experience. The staff were polite and responsive. Very good communications. We had the perfect table for the breathtaking views! The chairs are not as accommodating and comfortable. They look comfy, but are not. The food is top grade and delicious. We rarely come because the cost is so high, and it has increased substantially over the last 3-4 years. But, we also understand that value, skill, specific environment, experiences do come with a high price tag. It was worth it!

    We went for my husbands birthday. This is the only time I have gone somewhere for a birthday without any sort of recognition - no extra sandwich/cake. This wasn’t a huge deal, just disappointing considering the prices. The prices are nearly double what you’d pay in Calgary. Service was very very slow - it took over 30 mins for tea to be brought to us, and longer still for food. I also find that the handling of gluten allergies isn’t good - last time I was there, I forgot to mention a gluten allergy in advance of arrival, and was berated by the serving staff. This time I did call in advance to remind them of the allergy. I have gone to many different high tea locations in Calgary and Vancouver, and the Banff Springs is the only one that requires advance notice of an allergy. This gives the impression that food is not freshly prepared each day.

    The scenery is spectacular, the service was great. The high tea was awful and not worth $82/person. Pastries were dried out, the sandwiches dried and tasted as though they had been sitting on a counter all weekend.

    I didn't like that I felt we were eating in a hallway instead of a restaurant. I'm not sure if that's where they usually have the afternoon tea but that's where we were placed when we went.

    We had a lovely Afternoon Tea on January 2. The food and server were excellent and our window view spectacular. One thing we weren't aware of, during the holidays the tea is held in a hall near the Rundle Room so it wasn't as cozy as the Rundle Room itself but we still had an amazing time. We will definitely be back!

    Our anniversary was so special this year because we celebrated over High Tea at the Banff Springs Hotel. It's a pricey outing but it was totally worth it.

    Very disappointed with what should have been a memorable event. Facility moved event from a great location to an open hall, which totally changed the ambience. We called ahead of time to ask for a special table as we were celebrating a family milestone. Table was far away from windows and setup so only half of people had a view. This change was done last minute and without notifying us. When all confirmations from the hotel noted that we would be in the rundle room. Tea for one came cold and had to be returned. We had someone with a gluten allergy and they were only able to provide some of the options to them. All in all a very disappointing experience for what should have been a special / memorable occasion which we had been forward looking to. Do not recommend, experience is not even close to value for money. Will not return.

    What a great experience. I've been wanting to try the afternoon tea service for a long time and I'm glad I finally did it. The mountain view, classy furniture decor and live piano music set a lovely ambience and the tea and food was perfectly delicious and visually appealing. The service was also top notch with kind and friendly people guiding us through the experience. As a person with anxiety I found that very helpful. Overall this experience is worth the money!

    Loved the Festive Tea at Rundle Bar - highly recommend going on a relatively empty stomach because holy cow there's a lot of goodies!! Everything was delicious!!

    Amazing experience, Festive High Tea with a Rocky Mountain view! We went with our mother. It was a really fun afternoon. The tea was delicious. The staff and our server were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The Staff at the hotel were extremely helpful! We had a lovely afternoon

    We went for the cocktail making class with Rick and were very entertained and learned a lot, both about the cocktails and about Alberta. The drinks were all delicious, and had us feeling mighty warm and toasty by the end. Definitely a highlight of our stay at Banff Springs!
