Was such a … magical afternoon. The tea was amazing — different than your average tea you would order everyday. The food was petite making every piece the perfect amount of just enough but not overwhelming. We were thankful to the host being able to seat us next to the window to get the beautiful view the Rockies have to offer. Will be joining again.

Amazing experience, service was wonderful and food was delicious. Would have liked a few more finger sandwiches, however that is because it was so good. The desserts were also amazing. It is pricey ,however high tea usually is normally pricey. My two teenage boys even enjoyed the experience.

The high tea was a special thing, I would look forward to sharing with family and friends... in comfy chairs looking out at that beautiful mountain view! But with the renovations and changes that have been made, it just felt like any bland restaurant anywhere. Unfortunately, we were sat overlooking the smoking area and roundabout. Maybe the seats with a view are now reserved for people staying at the hotel.

Service was not the best..
Was not offered any milk/cream sugar with our high tea.
Also, server came across as rude when we asked questions about ordering.
The tea was a nice experience for our family.

The service was decent however the high tea experience was so so. The food was average at best. Some of the sandwich breads tasted stale. The scones were everyone’s favorite. Not worth the price in our opinion. Location within the hotel was great.

Unfortunately, our Tea Experience was incredibly disappointing. Everything started well. We were seated immediately upon arriving at our reservation time. Our server arrived promptly to take our tea order. Shortly after delivering our tea, we received scones. Then our server disappeared for over 30 minutes. During that time our ears were bombarded by (what we later learned was a live performance) piano renditions of children's music (baby shark, old MacDonald), played extremely loudly. Ready to leave, we demanded to speak with a manager. Apologies were made, our server reappeared. We received the tower of finger sandwiches & dessert - All flavourless and bland. Chocolate didn’t even taste like chocolate. We received a 50% discount on our bill but the whole experience, meant to be a celebration, was dreadful and a waste of time & money.

The hotel is spectacular! Appreciated a phone call the day before to share any dietary restrictions. Loved the live piano music. But the service was super slow. Didn’t have tea refilled for a long time. Took many minutes for the sandwiches! Maybe an issue going on in the kitchen? Manager gave us 30% off (without us asking). But still was not what I had been counting on and doubt I will be able yo go again. Too bad!

High Tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Relaxed vibe, amazing view, piano bar, superb finger food and more than we could eat. Tea selection was excellent and our server, Amy W was brilliant. Explained how our experience would roll out; and took the time to talk about each item. Even encouraged us to take home what we couldn’t finish. Top marks. Well worth the price. Splurge.

My wife and I visit the Rundle Bar at least once a year for a birthday treat. We are both plant based eaters and have always found the Rundle Bar the most accommodating, but this visit was quite disappointing. The plant based options were lacking compared to our previous visit. The vegan scones were terrible, with no option for vegan butter! I can buy plant based margarine from the local grocery store, so why they can't offer and alternative is beyond me! I believe the Banff Spring has recently changed owners, so this probably explains the changes. As a plant based eater I will no longer be visiting the Rundle Bar. The service was slow and, frankly, the experience was nothing like it used to be like. Such a shame! 🙁

despite booking a couple of months ahead we got put in a corner with basically a view of walls instead of a view of the Mountains I requested,
The Traditional High Tea we ordered was OK but not worth anyway the cost and I've had many High teas, this was quite disappointing in comparison.
We were asked if it was a celebration and it was a Birthday, which made no difference.

When you have to listen to idiots talk about how they’ve been sitting in the coveted window seats for 3 hours as they order hot water over and over again, it ruins the experience and ambiance of high tea.

My Mom and I went for afternoon tea the other day and it was soooo yummy! The last time I went to the Banff Springs for afternoon tea was probably 5 years ago and it was good but this time it was much better! The sandwiches and the pastries were much more flavorful and I found you got much better quality of food this time round. We absolutely loved the experience and I will definitely be coming back hopefully sometime very soon. It was definitely worth the drive from Calgary.

Had afternoon tea in 2016 and it was outstanding. Food was delicious, table setting was beautiful. Money well spent in 2016. Fast forward to 2021 and will not recommend this to anyone. For the amount of money charged, food and table setting NOT worth the outrageous amount. Tea was delicious though and the service outstanding. Will NOT return. Too bad though as I was really looking for something special to brighten the COVID days and this afternoon tea was not it☹️

We visited a couple of years ago and we really enjoyed it. The seating area was nicer, the food was better and it was worth the money.
Yesterday was the opposite. The staff were nice, but the room was dark, temperature was too hot inside and was stuffy. The tables were dirty, seating was terrible as we were pretty much laying down. Not being able to sit up properly gave my husband stomach ache. The sandwiches were stale. Overall it was poor, especially for the price!

High tea at the Fairmont Springs Hotel was delightful. Spendy, of course, but the food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. Tea is in a greenhouse addition next to the lounge, with great views of the mountains. Note: parking in the lot is $11C /hour, which adds up fast. We parked on the road to save a few bucks. Luckily not crowded, so only a short walk.

I booked the wrong fairmont for high tea. I intended to book lake Louise and booked Banff springs instead. I know everyone’s trying to do their best during covid, but The service was super mediocre for the price. By comparison Banff lake Louise service was far superior.

The piano playing was excellent.

The crisps and dip weren’t part of high tea but were super delicious.

We mentioned while check in thay this is our Anniversary and wild like to have memorable one and requested that to allocate us window sitting but they didn’t. They easily could have arranged. I personally felt that empathy was missing, guess that comes with age and experience.

Amy who was serving us had a great knowledge of menu and explained the speciality in detail. She also brought us special chocolate with congratulations written on it. She made our experience very enjoyable!

Overall great experience ! But too high on price but experience is worth it!

Go for the opportunity to walk around the hotel after, not for the meal. It’s not a foodie experience, not by a long shot. It’s an opportunity to spend time in what is probably the most beautiful hotel most of us will ever see. Service was superb, food was acceptable. The portions are tremendously small, but there are enough for two to share and enjoy. It is a “tea service “, not a five course meal. Don’t bring much of an appetite, unless what you are hungering for is the view, which is out of this world. What was served was made well and tasty, just not what you will remember from the experience. If the price doesn’t scare you off, you’ll probably enjoy this very much.
