   I ask for changing seats because I feel allergy in the basement, and it takes a few minutes for them to change my table to the outside. Great weather and atmosphere, and the food is good and can be less oily would be nicer! The lady servent is really polite and good.

   Delicious and interesting! However description of drinks are slightly inaccurate as the Moscow mule was some how spicy?? I assumed it was the ginger beer but had another drink with the house made ginger beer only to discover it was just the mule that had that extra spice! Not for me but my partner loved it! I enjoyed my second drink a lot more than the first!

   We were at a high top outside in the sun when it suddenly started to rain. They moved us twice - finally to inside when it rained harder - and our server couldn’t have been nicer about it. The food was good, too!

    Menu variety is great to satisfy pretty much anyone/everyone. Food came quickly but slightly mixed in terms of taste. Confit Wings and Calamari were bland but the Cod, Pizza, Chicken sandwich and Ceasar Salad got high marks. Bolognese was decent not great. Service was quick and attentive

    Not the best experience. We ate outside. Calamari app was delivered cold and really over cooked. I told the waitress and she said she’d bring us another but at that point we weren’t interested. She should have taken it off our bill but didn’t. Burger with fries was delivered with cold fries. They did bring us another order of fries and the burger was very good. Tuna tartare was good but really light on the tuna. About 3 bites and it was gone. All in all not a great experience.

    We made a reservation for Mother's Day brunch at Russell House. We arrived on time but had to wait 10 minutes for the hostess. We were seated on the basement level. Had more of a college fraternity bar feeling. The food was not good. My wife requested that her eggs be poached until firm, they were barely cooked. When she commented, the food delivery person said that was the way they cook them and could not change. Our server only checked on us once. When we told her about the eggs she just gave us a half-hearted sorry. Russell House should stick to serving beer and burgers to the college crowd and not try to pretend it is a real restaurant.

    I asked for a medium rare Steak and Eggs and got it well done. Would have mentioned it our server if he had ever checked on us. Also it was insanely salty, basically inedible. Drinks were a simple order but took forever, 2 sodas and a non-alcoholic cocktail which was charged the price of an alcoholic beverage. The Shakshuka my wife ordered was way too salty and very spicy as well, it's a good thing we checked first whether it was spicy. Clearly the place is understaffed. Maybe they prepare other dishes more carefully and skillfully but what we had plus the lack of service made the whole experience rather painful.

    The food at the Tavern was delicious! The chopped salad was very fresh with lots of additions, including tomato and avocado. My friend and I had the cheeseburger and it was very good - hot with excellent fries. The server was friendly and helpful when we asked to split dessert. She had it split on two plates in the kitchen. The dining room had great energy and atmosphere!

    Our server was on top of things seemed to always be there when she was needed. I didn’t get her name but she was the only server working as it was close to closing time when we wrapped up our dinner. The food was really good. Portions were a little on the smaller side but it was worth the price. The margaritas were delicious and hit the spot

    We had a shellfish appetizer that was terrific. Our meals were excellent; a rabbit loin wrapped in bacon special was good and unexpected on the menu. Meals, drinks, dessert all good. Service was excellent.

    I got the Salmon dish. It was one of the more expensive options, and I was trying to eat a little healthier so I went for it. It was SO over cooked and dry that it was hard to chew. It was like trying to chew overcooked, rubbery chicken. The waitress never came back to ask how things were. The rest of the dish was extremely bland which was disappointing as well. The patio had a great ambiance! If we went back, I would definitely stray away from the salmon option and probably try a pizza or something more casual.

    Very good food, excellent variety (some basic standards, some creative options), comfortable setting, excellent service, reasonably priced. Prominent bar, which influences the setting and the decor, but comfortable. Reliably good food.

    Fresh and delicious food . The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. We bring our golden there and sit outside when we are in the Cambridge area and this has become our go to spot.

    Russell House Tavern is a great spot! However, I must admit that I haven't had the best experiences with the bar staff downstairs. I've visited the place numerous times during both slow and busy periods, and I've come to the conclusion that they may need some additional training in customer service. It's not their fault, though - perhaps they were hired without proper training. Nonetheless, I still enjoy visiting Russell House Tavern and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good time.

    Person at upstairs hostess stand definitely not a ‘front of house’ personality and should maybe retreat to another area- unfriendly . Our lunchtime server was friendly, attentive and quick which we appreciated but lacked confidence to make any menu recommendations which I was open to trying despite asking her a few times. The Lunch menu was subpar - crab cakes overly seasoned and tasted like a can of Old Bay and incredibly salty, Cobb salad was unremarkable and burger ok. Bloody Mary was nice and spicy. Cannot call this a dining ‘destination’ and left wanting a lunch do over. Exceedingly surprised how disheveled the ladies bathroom was at noon for a partially filled restaurant + missing basic fixtures and much needed paint. Won’t be returning.

    Average food for breakfast. A bit bland. No coffee variety (espresso, cappuccino, etc). Just regular mediocre americano. No fresh squeezed oj. Nice space in a great location. Could do much better with a few simple tweaks.
