   J’ai trouvée l’expérience Omakase très dispendieuse pour ce que c’étais. Je suis rester sur ma faim et un peu déçu! Je ne suis pas tomber de ma chaise rien de wow! Par contre si j’avais a y retourner j’irais probablement a la carte le menu avais l’air très appétissant!

   Valentine’s Day visit. They brought out all the courses so quickly (each before we had finished the previous) and I told one of the servers to slow down, that they were making me feel that they wanted to rush us out to turn the table. After we finished, and they had cleared, we then waited nearly 30 minutes to be asked if we wanted dessert/coffee. Edamame undercooked Salads overdressed but good Miso soup delicious! Kamikaze handrolls slightly fishy Sashimi Rolls delicious! Sashimi platter delicious! Hamachi Baby very good Mr Maguro very good Dessert lava cake was more like a soft lukewarm cupcake rather than a molten and runny. All sushi presentations very nice

   Great sashimi and nigiri restaurant! If ever I go back, I will definitely order more of the sashimi and nigiri, and less of the rolls. In fact, the sushi rolls (hosomaki, Maki) were not very flavorful. However, the nigiri and sashimi were very tasty, the fish quality is amazing. In conclusion, great place for sushi if you like sashimi, nigiri and the taste of fish!

   We came to celebrate a birthday with the Omakase tasting menu and were blown away! The space was stunning, the service kind and attentive, and the drinks were top notch--we each ordered a signature cocktail and then shared a bottle of Sake. But the star was the sushi! Each of the six courses presented a different preparation, and within each course there was notable variety. I was particularly taken with the sashimi and nagiri courses, just because the quality of the fish shone through every bite. The other courses showed creativity and innovation, and overall I have to say that the experience was several levels above what I have come to expect from a night out for sushi. The dessert was also delicious, with several types of mochi, red bean ice cream, and lava cake. I wholeheartedly recommend Ryu for special occasions, especially for those looking for a spot in the Westmount area.

   Ryu (Westmount) is one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been too. I've been to all the best ones; Nobu, Uchi, Zuma, special one off places in NYC, etc. The fish is amazing, the staff is great. Without exception, when I'm visiting Montreal on business I always go to Ryu. It's that good.

    Fantatsic food, service and atmosphere. I especially congratulate the charming host, Charlie, the best sashimi maker, Michael, and the wonderful barman, Dmitri. I can't imagine a better way to spend New Years' Eve (although we were there very early - maybe later, next NYE).

    The sushi was excellent. The service was very good. Cocktail great. My partner had a glass of wine. We thought they could have been more generous for a $20 glass of wine - at least fill the glass to the line…otherwise the experience was great

    Expensive for my experience of Japanese. I like cooked options overdraw ones (or torched). Enjoyed the miso, edamame, avocado roll, salmon roll , and tempura roll ( not traditional as in fried). Service was good. Ambience also .

    I came with my older son for a one-on-one early evening out. He asked for sushi and I obliged. Everything was great, including the service, the food and the ambience. Highly recommended.

    The Chef Specials are truly that. Fabulous. Paradise is great, Unagi roll is exceptional. As with many restaurants, the wait staff is young and learning. But nothing got in the way of a great meal... this is the place for sushi in Montreal. We sat on the small outside terrace, it is well designed and quite private from St Catherine St. I use a wheelchair and access was very good.

    Delicious food. The fish quality it’s outstanding! Great service and the restaurant it’s beautiful. We sat at the counter and we saw how everything is made it was a lovely experience! Just keep in mind that they don’t have a large variety of desserts…

    The sushi was phenomenal. The drink took a while but they brought out eventually. My only real issue with this restaurant was the music. It didn’t fit the type of food and restaurant and didn’t help the ambiance.
