Dinner was fantastic service was quick Ahi Tuna Nachos blew our minds and my steak frites was cooked to perfection and the accompanying kale Caesar salad and sea salt fries help my two pints of SP Pale Ale go down in style!
Atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our orders (steaks) were not too hot when served - little disappointing.
The happy hour meal is great however the food was just so so. The calamari was bland and the cauliflower was soggy and salty.
Canada Day brunch was a great idea here. The brunch was delicious, the service could not have been better and the value for price paid was very good. We are looking forward to returning and trying the different menus at the different times - and of course returning for brunch!

While we were waiting, some servers passed by no greeting. There were still many dirty dishes on out table before main comes.
the stakes are so hard and chewy. Peppercorn sauce is watery. ( kids fried chicken was good)

A great place to gather with family, friends or that special someone. The food is so flavourful. I really like fact you can create your own dinner. Oh, and don’t forget the truly amazing deserts!
Everything on our breakfast plates was cold the 1st time. We never send things back but it was that bad. The 2nd time they served our breakfast, it was overcooked. The omelette was brown and the potatoes seemed as though they were reheated so that they would be hot.
We were seated less than 2 metres from the group beside us. The server seemed to be inexperienced and ran out of coffee so all her tables had to wait while she made some more. We expects a lot better from this restaurant. We won’t be back.
Everything was pretty good but my steak was overcooked.
Outstanding service, Sydney was amazing. Food was great as always and felt very safe with all that is going on. Can't wait to go back again. Thanks

Hi. The food quality was very good. However there were a number of things on the menu that weren't available. Also there was no wine list available. I know it's covid related but this is the 4th restaurant I've been to in the last two weeks and all the others have a printed laminated type list, so that it can be sanitized. But I will go back.
Waitress forgot multiple things that we ordered (drinks and food) ordered an item that was on happy hour menu..45 minutes later mentioned they didn’t have it. Ordered another item...that too was not available but told us immediately. Forgot a drink that was ordered...food has not great. One item completely cold, the other was ok very overcooked and mushy cauliflower bites. Oysters were good and shucked very well! Disappointing..
Enjoyed our anniversary dinner. First week of reopening, and they seem to have all precautions in place. Was very ‘quiet’, even for a weeknight. Go out and support our local restaurants and their staff!
Our bill was $181 and we gave the waitress $250. She never even said thank you. Put a sour taste in our mouth and we will not go back.

Great waitress, professional and personable. The food runners were confused with the orders or table seating - they tried to give us food that wasn’t ours and couldn’t find us when our food was ready. We had to return one of our dishes because it was overcooked but they were quick to get it our. All learning curves as they start to re-open, overall good experience!

We have always enjoyed going to the S&L in Langley. Only comment would be the music was too loud. Your review does not allow for anything to that. 4 categories - do not recall, quiet, moderate and energetic. You are not giving people a chance to really say.
We were not in the main restaurant. We were in the overflow area. There was no atmosphere in there.. Unfortunately their happy hour ended at 5. Same time that our Reservation was for. So not a good start. We ordered the cheese burgers. My wife had the fries. They were tasty and a good portion. I had a very small Caesar salad that lacked taste. Don’t recommend that room.
Have been going here since they opened always great service and great food

I HAD THE LOBSTER PRAWN BURGER WHICH WAS EXCELLENT.
MY FRIEND ORDERED THE STEAK MED RARE AND IT CAME WELL DONE,MY OTHER FRIEND ORDERED THE CALAMARI BOWL AND IT WAS OVERCOOKED,TRENDING ON BURN.BRENDA SENT BACK HER STEAK FOR A REDO BUT CAROL DIDNY SEND BACK HER CALAMARI AS SHE SAID IT JUST WASNT THAT GOOD ANYWAY.
Enjoyed the ambience, the decor & the music was popping!
Disappointed in our meal, very few fries for each of our meals, we also we're satisfied with how our food tasted.
We wanted to get dessert as well, but since we were disappointed with our meal, opted out.
Our waitress was polite but we felt rushed throughout the evening.

Our server was attentive and helpful. Someone at our table had an allergy and our server made certain that she ordered accordingly and ensured the kitchen knew to prevent cross contamination.

Fantastic. It’s on the pricy side but the food is phenomenal. We had great service . Well worth saving your money to go for a special occasion.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere though the music was a bit loud. The hostess sat us quickly in a nice both. The menu has a good variety with something to appeal to everyone. Service on the other hand was ok but slow. Refills on the coffee didn’t arrive until the meal was almost complete. As the restaurant was not that busy at that time, the poor service was surprising.
The food was very good but the coffee was burnt tasting.

The MENU was AWESOME...something there for EVERY taste and age!! My meal and the meal of my friend was PERFECT...BUT the thing that IMPRESSED us BOTH more than ANYTHING was the positive attitude, and the KNOWLEDGE of the Menu (and the wines) of our server! She had a SINCERE smile and was there when we needed her...and not there interrupting our conversations... proving that she has had a lot of experience as a server~she was PERFECT!
S&L should be very happy that Keana is a member of their staff. She made my first experience at your restaurant a delightful one. S&L is now high on my list of Favourite restaurants in the Lower Mainland!!!

The restaurant looked nice & our table was nice. The menus were stained and kind of grubby. The food was just ok. We always wanted to try this restaurant and we received a gift card for Christmas. I do not think we will go back. It was not the service (The waitress was fantastic she was helpful with meal suggestions and very personable) it’s just the food is sort of blah.
Fries were cold. Food took a very long time to come out to be served. This would be understandable if the restaurant was fully packed but in fact it wasn’t. Was good when they first opened. Thought it would replicate the first experience but it was far from it. Our server was great! Too bad the kitchen wasn’t up to par or better
I wasn’t pleased either with food or service. We have ordered calamari for an appetizer and it was really dry. For main course we have ordered sirloin steak and fries (no baked potatoes on the menu which we would have preferred) and I’m sorry to say the steaks were tasteless, we really were disappointed not only with the food but service was not that great! It took over half an hour for the food to arrive! Definitely not coming back!
From the build up I have heard I do not feel that S+L met the mark. The experience was average, not bad at all, but not above the rest. We were there for lunch and had a burger & beef dip. Maybe dinner with a steak would be a different experience, one to raise the bar. Again, not bad but average with a lot of other establishments.
The restaurant can’t seem to decide whether it’s a high end steak house (price) or a sports bar (giant TVs, loud music, casual service).
We ordered a bottle of wine. It took approximately 15 min. to get the said bottle. Once it arrived, it was the wrong bottle. The correct bottle was brought quickly but nonetheless, both bottles ended up on our bill at the end of the night.
We ordered a $90 porterhouse. For some reason, the steak arrived sliced up and, of course, cold. In addition, we ordered a lobster tail with the steak. I’m not sure if the animal it was taken from can be classified as a lobster. Maybe a prawn with a big butt.
Our dinner at S&L was definitely NOT worth the price. Overall, poor value. Sadly, we’ve had better steak at Mr. Mikes, for 40% of the price.
Server was a tool. Didn't listen to us and made assumptions when he should have asked questions and actually cared about what the customer wants...if he is ever assigned to our table again, and we are there a lot, i am leaving

I took my staff for a late holiday dinner
My Husband and I were celebrating a early Valentine's day. We have gone previously and usually enjoyed our food and evening. When we arrived we were the only ones in the whole section . We then had a party of 10 arrived and had setting right next to us . They were quite loud. When the area was totally empty when we arrive why were we seated next to a large group of people. We both had the soup and agreed that it was only warm. My husband had a medium steak and was very disappointed it was very tuff and not tender at all. It did get very cold in the area where we were sitting after awhile. We did have a great waiter who was very nice and good.

We all had Eggs Benny (1 classic, 2 seafood) and they were excellent!
Dress warm, though: all 3 of us found it too cool and 2 of us had to keep our jackets on while we ate.
