   The staff was super friendly. The charcuterie plate was delicious. The wine fights were a little confusing and a bit overpriced. Overall, it was a nice experience.

   I planned this date for our 2nd anniversary and reached out to have a special label made. Once we sat down, I asked for their “recommendation” and the brought out a bottle with our special label and my wife was astounded. Great place and exceptional service!

   When we first entered it took a little while for us to be acknowledged. Eventually someone came and sat us down. The person took our orders when we were ready. There was a change of shift between servers which we did not know. We sat for a while until the oncoming person picked up. Common courtesy would have been for the person leaving to let us know that they would be leaving and someone else would be attending to us…

   I heard about this little winery through a friend and I’m so glad I did! The owners we awesome and explained the different wines in the flight we choose. There were 3 of us and we all choose the 7 glass sweet flight. My friends ordered pizza including one gluten free which was just as delicious. I ordered the charcuterie and cheese board. They added goat cheese to my board upon my request. Everything is as delicious and we will be returning again soon!

   Loved the experience, especially with our sommelier Aliya. She made the evening more fun by including her travels as she explained each wine. The evening, although cold outside, was warm, friendly, and lovely. Yay Sable Gate.

    If you are looking for a place to do wine tasting with friends or a nice little date, I’d highly recommend. My husband and I did an impromptu day day here. We were able to set up reservations the day before with no hassle. The customer service was awesome and the lady who worked with us was a amazing.

    I had such an amazing time celebrating a friend’s birthday here. Bob was our server and was absolutely phenomenal. He taught us so much about the different types of wines and how they were made, which created the different flavors. He truly made the entire experience unforgettable. I cannot wait to come back again soon! The wine was so good it was to die for. This winery as my friend would say “is the next best thing since sliced bread”.

    This is my second time at Sable Gate Winery and once again fell completely in love with the place. My favorite thing about it has to be that in the middle of Houston you can find a place like this that makes you forget you are in the center of the city and you are just swept away by the wines and amazing service from the staff. I will continue to recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is wanting to experience a great wine day, evening, or night and will keep coming back here without a doubt.

    Welcomed by friendly host. Seated quickly we had the sweetheart 5 wine taste soooo good we had charcuterie board they accommodated by switching salami for turkey but I requested it when we booked under suggestions Owner visited table had laughs with my silly Husband no issues with what we paid I did leave my bluejean jacket called back spk to Owner who assured me they would look and hold it. Host very knowledgeable of wines. Will visit again 5 stars for us

    I went on a Friday night for date night. The wine tasting was fun and the owner personally educated us on her wines, which was really nice. We had the margherita pizza which was just fair and definitely overpriced. I really enjoyed my time here and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place, but you should probably eat before you come as the food is just ok.

    Szilvia was amazing as usual. She takes care of her customers and remembers her returning customers!! Her knowledge and passion about her wines is incredible. The meticulous planning of how she brings your wine so your palate isn’t tainted is phenomenal. With the tasting you get a feel for their different wines and truly can find the ones that best mesh with you and your tastebuds. They are all mad with care, but you will always find yourself loving some more than others. I loved the Pink (rosè), the no name (maybe eventually fairy dust), and the Dark Night. Almond brut is always a hit too!!!! The food was phenomenal as well! We had a charcuterie board for 2 (which was enough for our table of 4 to share) and then shared some different pizzas amongst the table. We have sooo many breweries locally which are great atmospheres, but its nice to have a winery nearby to switch it up! It’s also nice to have quality local places like this to support!! Thanks again for such a great experience!

    I went for my birthday and it went well. we tried 5 different wines and they were all good depending on your preference. I preferred the sweeter wines while my friends preferred the bitter ones.

    Our experience was very pleasant. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. Fortunately, we had a reservation, as I saw several people come and go because they had not made a reservation. When we arrived, it was almost empty, but it was hopping by the time we left at 8:00. We ordered the charcuterie and the Sommelier Wine Flight. The server was very attentive to my tastes, described the wines as he brought them in a very informative way, and he even changed out the final wine because of my preferences. I ended up taking home a couple of bottles, and it was a very pleasant evening. The place has a night-life vibe, very energetic, yet we didn’t feel like it was too noisy to be able to enjoy our date. The only thing I would change would be a more varied menu. Although it seems like the draw for the place is the wine and the experience, so understandably, the dinner menu may not be a priority. We got the charcuterie board, and then ended up going somewhere else afterward to get dinner. We didn’t mind that, but it would have been nice to have some more menu options other than the charcuterie and pizza to choose from and I probably would have stayed longer and ordered another glass or two of wine. Overall, it was a nice experience, and we will definitely be returning.
