The restaurant was in a hotel. The charcuterie board was so so. The entree is so so. Overall not worth the money.

Thought it was going to be a more authentic experience with the Spanish quinine. However the restaurant is in a hotel and the food was far from what the restaurant name would suggest. They didn’t even have paella on the menu, but they managed to have cheese stakes (lol)! With that said, the non-Spanish food we did get was really good!

I have to say the standout of the night was our server Erica. What a gem! She's was so funny, helpful and made us feel like at home. I would go back just for her and her bubbly personality. The food was delicious- we had the chopped salad, burger, roasted beets, cheese board, papas bravas, and roasted cauliflower. We loved all of these dishes, super tasty. The only food we do not recommend would be the "burnt" cheesecake. It actually comes burnt so no false advertising but do not recommend lol It's in a hotel but it's very beautiful the restaurant, nice and quiet. I do recommend it for a nice night out!

There was one waitress and one expeditor for the whole restaurant. They were doing the best they could, but it was just too much for two people. The menu has been reworked post-pandemic. Many of the tapas you would expect e.g. albondigas, they no longer carry. It is an okay restaurant, inside in a hotel, that is just trying to hang on.

Due to lack of staff, our reservation was going to be delayed or entirely refused by the hostess. We were confused the reservation was confirmed. Only because of our server did we stay, get great drinks & food.

Rashid is the best behind the bar!!! This place is cool to sit and watch a sports game but pricey. It’s a hotel restaurant so that’s expected

Four of us went to dinner at Sabroso + Soro on Saturday night. We weren't all that excited about any of the four entree choices, but we liked the looks of ALL of the tapas choices, so we ordered all of them - I think there were 12. Nearly everything was delicious; the vegetable dishes were particularly good - perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The only disappointments were the shrimp, which was dull, and the mussels, which were in a sauce that was much too sweet. The octopus was cooked and seasoned perfectly, but the sweet pea puree it was served on was not a great flavor match. We ordered two desserts: the Crema Catalana, which was MUCH more dense than we expected it to be, and the doughnuts, which were fresh out of the fryer and very tasty. The service was VERY prompt - if anything, maybe a little too prompt; we would have liked the dishes to come out staggered, rather than nearly all at once. Very convenient location, although parking around City Hall can be a challenge, and the valet is expensive. Try to find street parking or one of the area garages.

Sabroso + SorboResponded on March 9, 2020Thank you so much for coming in. Glad you enjoyed our tapas; sorry we did not execute the shrimp or mussel dish to your liking. I will make sure to bring this up to the kitchen staff. We do typically send out tapas as they become ready, however it seems like we might have worked on other tables while your dishes were coming up. The doughnuts are our favorite here too! -Matthew restaurant manager

We arrived for our reservation and had to wait nearly an hour to be seated. From there, every course was slow to arrive and the manger never stepped in to help or take ownership. However our waitress was apologetic and did as best as she could. She even took initiative to comp our drinks. I can also say the service was just as poor with the tables next to us.

Food was not good. roasted beets were wet and pickled, never touched an oven. rice was also wet and clumpy. ordered two of the same fish dish and they came out with totally different vegetables - one with olives and tomatoes and one with just fennel and maybe sweet potato? (very small and under cooked orange cubes. brussels were soggy. the staff while extremely nice was extremely all over the place and it was too evident they couldn't handle the volume of people although the restaurant was not busy, most were at the bar. the same guy asked us three times if we were ready for dessert in a 35 minute period after our entree dishes were cleared. i'm really sad I did not like this place

Sabroso + SorboResponded on February 1, 2020Roze, My team and I would like to apologize for your experience here at Sabroso+Sorbo. I understand it can be disappointing when trying somewhere new and the food just does not meet your expectations. I will share this feedback with the kitchen about the beets and rice being "wet" and the two fish dishes coming out with different vegetables. I hope that we can get a second chance, and we will be able to shine next time with our food. -Matthew Restaurant Manager

Unique dishes, wonderfully friendly and helpful staff; great value for the money - especially enjoyed a choice of not just one but TWO dishes for appetizers...nice ambiance, spacious, quiet enough, enjoyable all around.

Had dinner here for restaurant week! It was fabulous. Our server could not have been more gracious, and knowledgeable. The meal was really amazing, and one of us, from Spain, said the food was authentic and imaginative. The starters we had were the Brussels sprouts with jamon Serrano, the albondigas and the beets. All yummy. The house salad, with red onions and olives was a nice change from your average salad. The red snapper was delicious and the desserts were wonderful. We had the creme Catalan, which is like creme brulee. This was nicely done. And the Spanish donuts with chocolate, were a delectable variation on churros con chocolate. This was a really great food experience. The location was great, with a bar on the other side of a wall, which prevented the noise from the bar to interrupt our conversation. Really beautifully designed.

Sabroso + SorboResponded on February 1, 2020SallyM, Wow what a great review, thank you for taking the time to detail your visit to Sabroso+Sorbo! Im really happy we were able to meet the expectations of not only you but from a guest who is from Spain as well.

Warm ambience. The food was tasty and with good portions for tapas. The bartender Will was great. He approached our table to describe the cocktails on the menu. He made an excellent Verano and Sidecar.

Meeting with colleagues for dinner after American Heart Association Scientific Sessions. The restaurant was apparently not too busy, so it was very quiet. The hostess was warm and welcoming. We appreciated the low noise level. We could have meaningful conversations without yelling all evening. We share some small plates, which were delicious. 2 of us ordered the fish dish. The dish was tasty, a rather large serving and a little on the salty side. Our server was very accommodating. 2 of us also from California and disappointed, but understood in this Spanish themed restaurant, that there were no California Chardonnay’s on the wine selection.

Super great restaurant. We had a large group and without requesting it, they provided us with a private room. Which was great because our visit was to talk though some things and it would have been difficult if it wasn’t for that private room which was much quieter.

I had dinner with two friends and it was an excellent meal. It took a while to find the place because it isn't' clear from the description that it is actually inside of a hotel. The decor is great and the food was really good. We have the snapper ceviche and the steak tapas. Then we had the snapper entree and the portobello mushroom steak. The snapper was so light and fluffy and flavorful. The portobello mushroom steaks were the best I have had. I would go back to this place in a second.

Had a business lunch with a client and was very disappointed. Service was very slow, had to find the server to get her to take our check (the restaurant was empty). The servings were incredibly small (18 for chicken which was a very small drumstick/thigh). And there were fruit flies swarming us the entire time.

Tapis is not would I would call this food. It is packaged food that I think is microwaved on site. The people were all very nice but I would skip this one for local food, like a Philly steak sandwich.
