   Staff was extremely nice. We could hear one of the waiter sharing our comments not only with the chefs, but with all of the staff, which 1) showed us we were heard (although we just said it was delicious) 2) showed a very good working atmosphere for the staff. The sushi’s were delightful, fresh and tasty. The lichee martini was amazing too. As a long distance couple (France - US), it was our last date night before flying apart, and they succeeded in making us feel comfortable and having a great night.

   Really excellent experience overall. The fish was very fresh and expertly prepared. The chef was very friendly and conversational. I will definitely go back when I am next in town.

   The waitress was very nice, courteous and helpful. That being said, unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience for me. I found the food tasty but overpriced , the ambience was a bit random and the service extremely slow. Since I was celebrating a birthday that day, these elements came off as a bit underwhelming.

   We have been to this restaurant before and although every restaurant has been hit hard by the pandemic closures over the past two years we were very happy to find that Saiko has weathered the storm and stayed in business even though many establishments around them did not. In our opinion we could easily see why because as usual we enjoyed superb sushi delivered with friendly and efficient service. The beautiful presentation of the dishes are like a work of art to us and when it comes to freshness and flavour no one can do it better than the chefs at Saiko. If you are looking for top notch sushi then I highly recommend that you try Saiko- Bistrot Izakay. You will not be disappointed.

    The place is very quiet, excellent for dating night. I feel the sushi quality is okay, but it is more expensive than similar restaurant. I would not recommend this place.

    They don’t understand anything about food allergies. You shouldn’t work at a restaurant if you don’t know what celiac is. They had no options for me since they only had 5 options. This place shouldn’t exist.

    Première expérience dans ce restaurant. La salade était très bonne, la soupe miso aussi. Toutefois, les sashimis, quoi que bien présentés, étaient gros et tranchés épais donc plus difficiles à manger et même parfois coriaces pour le poisson blanc. Le tartare de thon était fade et dans le maki de tartare de saumon épicé, il était aussi fade. Le service était sympathique mais lent, même si le restaurant était presque vide.

    Unfortunately I did not have a super enjoyable birthday experience at Saiko. The food was absolutely delicious only it took about and hour and a half for it to arrive. Our waiter seemed to ignore us in the mean time. Admittedly, they were likely short staffed both in the kitchen and the front of house but a little explanation to your clients can go a long way toward creating empathy vis a vis the situation. Also a bottle of Sake or two on the house would have helped alleviate the situation but no such acts of generosity were provided. Our reservation was made a week in advance also so it was not like it was a surprises. In any case, good food but service and timely preparation are lacking. Hope things can get better there.

    Part of our order was not served. We had to ask twice to get it. The service was poor but food was good. The outside entrance was dirty , it gave a bad impression to the restaurant.

    It was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had! I had to reserve this last minute because our reservation at another restaurant fell through due to their water line being down. The staff was the nicest, most fun and welcoming staff I’ve ever encountered (from all the waiters to the ones behind the counters) and the food and drinks were great. I really loved the scallop and crab appetizer dish and the saiko lemonade cocktail. They also offered me a complimentary birthday dessert and there was so many options to choose from (3 flavoured roll cakes, 2 cheesecake flavours and a chestnut cake) but I picked the strawberry roll cake and it was delicious. Would definitely come back :)

    Had the omakase, which I have been wanting to try. The selection that was provided to us was amazing! The appetizers that were selected for us were perfect and the chef watched our plates to ensure the proper timing for the next piece. The chef was fantastic, being attentive and answering our questions, eventhough he was very busy, preparing dishes for others. I highly recommend Saiko, especially the omakase, which brings your sushi experience to the next level. When you choose the omakase, please be aware it is an experience (we were there for 3 hours, I think), but time goes by quickly!

    The quality and freshness of the fish is outstanding. Patrons were spaced out well and the service was amazing. The only place that i have found with a sashimi special (which is the specual that i keep coming back for). So happy this restaurant is still around post-pandemic!

    Food was delicious, I just wish we didn’t have to wait over an hour to get our food. They gave us a free tempura dish which was thoughtful. I feel like they were just understaffed but were getting so many Uber Eats orders and prioritizing those.
