Quite disappointed with the service. I had a drink go down the wrong pipe and started coughing and choking and they took my drink away. They then threatened to kick me out after I tried to explain to them what happened. Will not be returning after being treated like that.

Our server, Gabriel was great! Two of us had fish and chips - very good. Other diner has the cod - also enjoyable. First time dining here. Woukd go back and recommend.

Service was lacking but food was excellent. Our server did not quality check any of our food, and we waited for 10 minutes before going to track down our server ourselves after we got our mains. We also needed drinks (he cleared our glasses, walked away before we could order, and never came back) and condiments. During this time we could see he was just standing in the kitchen talking.

We were four people and half got meal and 15 min later for other two also starters came 10 min apart.

The only thing they have going for themselves is their location. Scallops were flavorless, fish tacos tasted old and the chowder was lackluster. It’s the epitome of a tourist trap.

Patio was comfortable, food was very reasonably priced and quality was consistent. Server was great. Will definitely be back.

I had to send my cod dinner back twice as it was dry. In the end I just shared my partners fish and chips. The restaurant did not charge me obviously and comp’d the drinks which was good. They were not overly apologetic. I wouldn’t go back. Overall just average or slightly below.

Salt and ash is a great restaurant. Lively, good food and strong drinks. Dan at the bar is at the epitome of service and all severs should aspire to be like him. I didn't wanna leave the bar unfortunately we had to cause our table was ready. Perfect
