I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the value you get. My only feedback to improve would be perhaps that the place is a bit noisy so it is hard to have a conversation at your table. Everything else was excellent!

It was quite good. They were a little slow checking if we needed more coffee and tea. We were there for brunch. The tater tots that come with most things are ok but a nice home fries or hashbrown would have been better. I would definitely go back though. I am celiac and they did not charge extra for my bread so that was nice and they baked my tater tots instead of deep frying in the glutened oil. Overall, it was a good experience

Gorgeous waterfront view and a modern and very warm and welcoming ambiance. The staff was prompt and efficient without feeling rushed. The food was elegant with an elevated twist.

Music was too loud for a lunch crowd. I like to be able to have conversation and it was not conducive to hearing others at the table. Food was so so. Too much batter on the fish.

Everything was AMAZING! The food, the service, and the night views of the harbour. My only complaint would be the noise!!! We literally left the restaurant yelling at each other before we realized we could use our “indoor voices” again. It would be a great place to take someone you don’t want to talk to.

Exceptional ambience, service & decor. I had the cod which was DIVINE. It came with two small potatoes though which were not cooked (hard as rocks like they were raw). The grains were also just ok -- I would prefer a mashed or gratin potato or all veggies. We will definately go back. Everything about Queen's Marque is first-class, quality -- such an amazing new addition to our city.

I forgot my leftovers; went back within 10 minutes but they had already cleared them. Not a complaint, but I was looking forward to them today for lunch. Food portions and taste are excellent

Menu is limited. Our GF friend got her breakfast sandwich without any bread, even though they said, yes we have GF bread. Server was good. Think the menu is a bit weak. It’s unusual, but weak. Only been there at lunch..

Our waitress (woman with French accent) was awful… she didn’t tell us about the specials until we asked. We were also not expecting the brunch menu, so we had a hard time choosing our meals - once we made a decision, we were told that the Dutch baby was sold out… waitress didn’t tell us this until we tried to order it. Someone other than our waitress brought our food to the table and our original waitress never checked on us after our food arrived. Once we finished eating, we waited at least 10 minutes until asking someone else for our bill. After asking for the bill, I saw our waitress leave the building for what seemed to be a smoke break… we waited another 10 minutes for her to return before she brought our bill. The table next to us actually received decent service from our waitress, which made the situation a lot more frustrating. She checked on them numerous times while completely skipping over us. Food and atmosphere was good, but we will not be returning because of the poor service.

Absolutely beautiful, warm, and welcoming space. Spectacular location overlooking the harbour. Great value…a whole woodfired chicken for two for $62, along with an ear of roasted corn and potato salad. All really well done and presented. I found the sauces on both the chicken and the corn to be much too spicy. Gave me hiccups. I will definitely go again and ask that the seasoning be toned down.

Outstanding atmosphere and lovely servers as well as delicious meal. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars but when we were pulling on our coats, the server said oh your payment didn't go through so I re entered it and saw it pop up. This morning I was reviewing my Credit Card statement and I was double charged so now we need to travel to downtown Halifax in busy traffic to get it reversed, just a little annoying

We all enjoyed our meals and had excellent service. One slight issue was the seating. Two of us have disabilities and found the table height and seating arrangement less comfortable than we’d hoped. All in all a wind place to celebrate friendships and enjoy a good meal.

My first visit to Salt & Ash but definitely not my last. Enjoyed the food, ambience and service was fabulous. Was a little on the noisier side - so take that into consideration if you are looking for an intimate business meal or have guests in your group with hearing difficulties for example. Otherwise, I highly recommend this little gem on the Halifax waterfront with lovely harbour views.

The corn bread was the best ever however the fish tacos were terrible. The fish was overcooked and there wasn't much of it. The food mains were unbelievably slow arriving although the server herself was very pleasant and attentive. There clearly was a kitchen issue that the server had no control over. The space itself is very nice with a pleasant harbour view.

The entire dining experience was perfect minus a server who was a little put off when one of my party said no thank you to water. The food, host, bartenders, bar & ambience was on point. One suggestion is to play music that is one genre. Looking forward to going back soon.
