With more than 25 years of experience, the food at Salt & Pepper is always excellent and always authentic. You will want to try the chilaquiles al estilo samborns created by baking layers of tortilla, cheese, chicken and tomato sauce with crema.
The food was delicious, drinks were good, service was good and I can`t wait to go back.
It was just “okay”. Nothing great. Girls didn’t like the Margarita’s, just not to there taste. Appetizers were good main dishes were just okay, nothing really terrible but not really memorable either.
It’s a cozy little place, the only down side was the flies and wasps that were in the restaurant from, what I’m guessing is the patio door being open, they were quit annoying and had to be brushed away all dinner long.
Long wait to be seated, to get drinks. Not enough waitstaff for volume. Food was a little bland. Took forever to pay up.....disappointing.
Service was so bad we left after 30 minutes. Still hadn't got a drink. We were the third table to leave.
Great patio and relaxed atmosphere. Food wasn’t anything crazy but worth it for the price.
This is a great restaurant for authentic Mexican in Inglewood. The food is always good and the service is great!
OMG, I’m never disappointed with the food here! My fiance and I brought our parents here so they could meet each other. My father has several Mexican relatives as he is from the Southern States and he was in love with the food. It’s super fresh and very authentic! Check this place out for sure!!!
No the first on this place but I found that quality in general was not the same than last time, specially on the food, lower quality
Great mojitos (there’s a deal on fridays) and pretty good quesadillas and tacos!
We went to Salt & Pepper today for a Mother’s Day Lunch and had a wonderful time. True authentic Mexican cuisine with a great atmosphere and a wonderful server. We were all pleased with our meals and it was really reasonably priced. It was very sweet to have been given a delicious piece of cake for Mother’s Day. We would definitely come back and tell our friends about this great restaurant. 5 stars all the way.
We were pleasantly surprised by this eatery. We had dined at the Bowness location and had not returned.
We will definitely be coming back to the Ingelwood location. Food was very tasty and well portioned. Traffic through the eatery to get to and from the lounge/bar was annoying.
Needed more staff
It was too loud in the restaurant. Staff decided to turn up the music to compete with the voices but then it was way to noisy for conversation.
Our waiter did his job efficiently but could’ve smiled once in awhile.
Great service and very quick. Perfect place to eat before Flames game.
Great service and great food. Very enjoyable and satisfying meal !
Great service, delicious Mojitos!
Best Mexican in Calgary
A wonderful surprise. Best and most authentic Mexican cuisine in Calgary. Very good experience. The chef was wonderful.
There were some large parties there, but the service was still slow and disinterested. We had a reservation and still waited 15 minutes for a table. My Chilaquiles were AMAZING! Everything was hot and fresh and tasted great! Unfortunately, my wife ordered the shrimp skewers. By the time our food arrived, the shrimp was room temperature (although it had been cooked once upon a time) and the rest of the food on her plate was actually COLD (including her plate). Another couple who came in 20 minutes AFTER us received appetizers and entrees before we received our food. As much as I enjoyed my meal, we will not be back. We might try the Bowness location to see if it is any better.
We always have a good time at Salt and Pepper. Service is great and food is good. Is it the best Mexican in town? Maybe not, but as a stand-alone, it satisfies the craving. The restaurant itself is charming and the service is always friendly! This place is always hopping and full of people enjoying themselves. Hint: get the guacamole...it’s fantastic and fresh!
