Excellent meal. Well prepared and presented. Chef accommodated special dietary needs. Highly recommended!
First time at Salt. Our server was excellent; knowledgeable, friendly, quick, attentive, etc. We ordered several dishes for the table to share and she spaced it out perfectly! The bread was delicious and paired nicely with the house made butters. We started with the oysters which were average. The grilled octopus was plentiful (as typically the portion is small) and very tasty, however it was not very hot (almost lukewarm). It may have been that is how it was intended, but we were expecting it to be hot. The clam chowder was very good and hearty, being full of clams and cockles. The short ribs were delicious, tender, the sauce was a great balance and the portion was very generous for the price. The brussel sprouts were amazing!!!! They were crispy, generous amounts of bacon along with a touch of a sweet finish. Overall, an excellent meal! I will definitely be back!
Great comfy, elegant, shore themed and striking visual atmosphere and utterly the best fabulous seafood! No question - chef is amazing. Seafood ultra fresh. Personal service and timely meals as well! Perfection with the bacon slab, the fried calamari, the halibut, the scallops, and the cheesecake.
One of the best dining experiences on LBI. Food was outstanding as compared to other establishments in the area. However, the noise level and very slow service was definitely a minus.
What an amazing experience from start to finish. Truly a gem in a small town that goes way above and beyond
The clam chowder was great. My Wife loved the halibut and tuna tar tar. My steak was only average.
The service was fantastic. Shortly after we were seated we were asked to move due to a larger party coming in. This wasn't a big deal at all as we had not even gotten waters yet. The manager apologized profusely and insisted on comping our first round of drinks and appetizers. Even the hostess went out of her way to apologize and ensure we weren't upset about being moved. We will definitely go again.
We went with high expectations because everyone has been giving Salt rave reviews. Neither my husband nor I enjoyed our meals and were actually quite disappointed in them especially given the price. It is extremely loud as everyone has said but it is beautiful in terms of the venue itself.
I have been to this restaurant 3 times. I love the hotel but Salt is overpriced and the food is just not good. I last had the pad Thai with lobster. The lobster was raw on the bottom and the sauce was overwhelming.
A bit pricey but worth it. I highly recommend.
Food was very good as always. The dining toon get loud when it’s more than 50 filled. If the weather permits sit outside or at the tables by the bar for a less noisy experiences
We are always blown away by the food here!
This was our first time at the Salt Kitchen and definitely not our last. Everything we ordered was delicious. The hotel is beautiful.
The food was good, the bartenders were very good. Service was not as good as we expected
We had not eaten in the Salt restaurant before. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. We have no complaints. We will be back.
The food was good. The waiter was very nice and would share recommendations.
This is place is great and romantic. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. I'm so happy my future wife and I were able to share a moment here.
Food and service are always exceptional! Great ambiance and upscale feel without being stuffy.
The restaurant was freezing, other guests were sitting with their jackets on. I ordered lobster over pasta and it was doused in tomato sauce, the pasta was hard. The food was a disappointment. The ambience was nice and the waiter was very nice. My fiancé ordered salmon and vegetables again not very tasty. The food was not worth the price. We did say something and we told that it was busier than anticipated with the holiday weekend. I don’t see how that would affect the taste or the presentation of the food. We love the hotel and were so hopeful the restaurant would live up to our expectations.
Room was very cold, AC was on. Long time for someone to come to the table. Meal was warm. Just ok.
Appetizers were ok. Entrees were better
Incredible! Delicious! We ate there two evenings; although, Open Table has us as a no show on Valentines Day. Their Valentines menu was awesome, and they gave us complimentary champagne! Compliments to all of the chefs!
We have been there three times , service food and wine list are well above average.
We’ve been here twice and had Connor as our waiter and he’s been amazing both times. Couldn’t ask for better service and delicious food
Table service was very professional and attentive.
We had a great dinner on Valentines Day beginning with the long stem rose.upon checking in. Martinis at the bar were excellent and we enjoyed the festive vibe all around. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his large veal chop cooked to perfection and I had the South African
Lobster over pasta and it was very good. We stayed the night at the hotel in a lovely room and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Great addition to LBI !!
Outstanding! Worth every dollar! Our sever was Laura and her customer service was excellent. We were well taken care of by her and Keith the manager. Thanks to both of them for making this an exceptional night. The food was 5 star! The chef’s choices and specials were so delightful. I have told several friends about the restaurant and hotel! What a great combination as well. It’s a must to stay over and enjoy a gourmet and delicious dinner for couples or family. We will be coming back over and over again.
Our second time dinning at Salt. Waited for the season to end for a quieter time. Was excited they were serving Beef Wellington but was a little disappointed when it came overcooked. Appetizers are small and not what I expected. Overall it was nice to visit the hotel but I think they missed on the design of the restaurant for higher end dining. I felt like I was dining at a food court it was so loud and didn't care for the table set up was cold and lacked imagination.
Excellent service and food!!!
I asked my waiter to give me the bill at the end of dinner.. my friend (a little while later) did the same thing.I’m a woman, he is a man and the waiter took his credit card!! I was quite angry and he just laughed! I hope I get him the next time we go there and my tip will be “when someone asks you to give them the bill, don’t be a chauvinist, just do it!”
Besides him, we love this place!
Dinner was great as usual, our server (McKenzie) was very knowledgeable and did a outstanding job.
I had the restaurant week menu. Food was not hot when served but Luke warm. I didn’t send back. The restaurant was empty 4 tables total. I must say I was expecting so much more for the buck. I’ll go back to try something else but this was a bit overrated to me.
Awesome! Loved the food and atmosphere!
The best food. Ambiance. And courteous staff
Beautiful place! Food was very tasty. Enjoyed restaurant week! A bit noisy for our liking. But overall had a great experience. Our server JJ was excellent
Our server Gerard was great, but the rest of the experience was not great. This was our second outing at the hotel. We told our server that on our 1st visit we ordered our dinner and appetizer. While we were eating out appetizer the entree came. We felt rushed the entire time. He told us that it would not happen this time. So much for that...we ordered 3 salads for our 1st course. 2 were Bib Lettuce wedges, they were great. The other salad was a Kale Cesar, I guess the chef can't tell the difference between Kale and Romaine, also our drinks came I had specified a Manhattan on the rocks, Gerard repeated it. It was served "up". That took sometime to be corrected. Low and behold, while eating our 1st course, the entree shows up! Had to stop eating the salads because there was no room for the entree on the table. My wife ordered medium rare lamb chops and my daughter ordered Octopus that was advertised as chared. The octopus was under cooked and the lamb was almost raw. Both had to be sent back for further cooking. When their food was brought back, I was done eating. It did not make for a pleasant evening. This is the second time that we have had an issue with the LBI Hotel. On another matter we tried to contact the hotel for this reservation. We left a message and never received a call back, however we were successful with open table.
I would rather a table in the open next time. We were only a party of two with another patron on other side of us in close proximity. I also asked if I could have my heavy winter coat hung up and was told no.
Food was great! Restaurant Week menu was excellent.
We enjoyed our meal. Our waitress Kelly was friendly and attentive.
Too noise for pleasant conversation. No background music.
Place is beautiful! Service was great. Food started off wonderful but my entree wasn’t hot, so can’t give a perfect score.
