Salted Brick is open to the public and is located within the beautiful resort community at The Ocala Preserve. We bring to life regional favorites alongside American classics using locally-sourced, fresh ingredients. Our Dress code here at The Club at Ocala Preserve & The Salted Brick is resort casual. This includes no ripped jean, no gym attire, no flip-flops, no T-shirts or tank tops. Men are required to wear collared shirts, jeans, slacks and dress shorts.

    Mixed reactions to our experience. A limited menu that was over-priced given the ambiance. Food was served hot. Our server was attentive and personable and made up for the shortcomings. Martinis were poorly made. We brought our wine and paid the corkage which proved to be a smart decision. However, for $15 a bottle given the ambiance, we thought this was expensive. In short, we have little motivation to return given the distance and lack of value.

    Service was excellent, as was the wine selection. I got the blackened fish sandwich and it was ok. Not very blackened, and too much sauce. Sides and salads were good. Chicken club sandwich was very good.

    This was the first time we ever experienced poor service. It took a long time for our server to welcome us and take our drink order. Once we ordered our food we didn’t see her again until she finally brought the check and we waited an extremely long time for that to happen. She didn’t even check to see how our food was. We are regulars so this was a one-off. We’ll ask for Adam from now on. He’s an outstanding server.

    This restaurant continues to be highly inconsistent for both food and service. We were left sitting at our table for 15 minutes, waiting for our waiter to arrive to take our drink order….I then had to get up and go to the hostess desk to ask that a server come to our table (we were one of only six tables dining so the restaurant was virtually empty). My swordfish arrived over cooked and lacking the accompanying lemon butter sauce so back it went to the kitchen. When it did finally make it to the table , it was too fishy tasting to eat. (I lived in Boston and the Vineyard so I know good swordfish); this was clearly old and frozen…..it was inedible and it was $32! I sent it back and ate a very mediocre cheese platter. I keep trying to like this restaurant and have dined there over the past three years and countless chefs. But if you’re going to charge medium to high end prices, the food quality and service should match, and they do not. Go to Ivy on the Square, Mark’s or La Cuisine for a consistently good dining experience!

    Many items from their bar were not available. The wowtress said that was due to a recent remodel. They were out of salmon and some other items as well. I ordered the fish tacos. The corn tortillas were stale and very chewy. The tacos were smothered in too much sauce, which ran out of the tacos, onto the plate and then the table. The coleslaw lacked flavor. Very disappointing.

    We asked if we could sit by the window, however, we were seated in a booth next to the open kitchen. The menu posted online is different than the menu presented at the table. The waiter was cheerful but the service was slow. It gets pretty noisy at 6:00. There was a nice variety of wine and drinks. My filet was small, overcooked, and accompanied by a flavorful sauce. The grilled asparagus was excellent. My date's porterhouse pork chop was thick but difficult to cut the meat from the bone. She was allowed to change the accompanying sides. There was no printed dessert menu. We split a delicious piece of 4-layer carrot cake priced at $16. Overall, I had great expectations but was disappointed.

    Staff was outstanding especially the host at the door. Food was ok but not worth $39 each. I appreciate the hot items in the silver chafing dishes and the shrimp/oysters/salmon items.. the desserts were ok (would have appreciated more chocolate-related items)... champagne (at least a glass) should have been included with the brunch.. thanks for inquiring... :)

    This was our first time here, so maybe it was an off night. The service was somewhat slow but the food was the real disappointment. This was the first time in 25 years I’ve ever seen my husband send food back. He had the pizza margarita and it was loaded with oil and pesto. The bright spot of the evening was the manager who quickly acted to replace the pizza with a hamburger that was pretty good. I had the pear and Gorgonzola flatbread which was ok.

    The food and service was fabulous. We had the Pork Chop Porter house and a house special of Butternut Squash Ravioli with a sage butter sauce. Everything was awesome.

    It was a beautiful day. However, I thought the service was a little slow, especially when it was a Buffet and we served ourselves. We only needed service for drink refills and to check out, and I felt like we were never checked on.

    Booth right in front of kitchen. Kind of noisy. Lady at gate said we were not on her list to enter. Food was good as well as our waiter. Not a great place for a romantic dining experience.

    The Service was good - A few things/ Service was good Salad was wrong I ordered Caesar and got tossed The special flatbread was 14 but we were charged 16 The Caesar dressing tasted like blue cheese And my number one per peeve: why are dogs allowed in the restaurant ??? Not fair at all - unless the restaurant specifies dog friendly I don’t want to dine with dogs - does your liability cover this ?!

    New chef, new menu. Just a few months ago they had added back again many vegetarian meals that in prior years we had enjoyed, but had been deleted. Seems like they have been deleted again. No veggie burgers, the salads are not as numerous or interesting. The pizza is mediocre at best. Please consider that lots of people enjoy vegetarian meals and would love to enjoy them at The Salted Brick if the menu would reflect that.

    Outstanding Easter Buffet. Food fresh even though we dined toward to end of the lunch hour. Great service and beautiful setting. Especially enjoyed pix with the Easter Bunny for our Grandson. Will return soon.

    We enjoy going there for special Brunch occasions like Mothers Day or Easter. They always take the extra steps to make it a great time. Staff is fantastic. Food is very good with nice displays. Cost is reasonable.

    My husband and I had heard good things about the Salted Brick restaurant, so for his birthday, we thought we'd try it out. What a totally peasant experience we had, from walking in and being greeted so cordially, to having assistance with both our wine and dinner selections by our waiter, Adam. The food was presented very attractively, was well cooked and seasoned, and served at the perfect temperature! While I had the delectable crab cakes, my husband had the prime rib special which he claims merely melted in his mouth. (I had to take his word for it because he didn't even offer me a bite! But then again, it WAS his birthday!) To add more accolades, the prices were incredibly reasonable and the decor was quite elegant, while being very comfortable. We feel so fortunate to have found our new favorite dining establishment... The Salted Brick Restaurant.

    Steak wasn’t cooked right. Ordered rare with no sauce or seasoning. Came out with sauce , once they fixed that second steak came out medium well.

    When we drove up to the restaurant, we weren’t expecting much. It’s the only restaurant in the Preserve housing complex, so we were expecting a villages country club experience. The restaurant is very modern and had clean lines. Our server Ruby was very attentive and our food service was expedited quickly. I had the whiskey grilled salmon and my guest had the tenderloin. The food was above average and done perfectly. I would recommend a visit.

    Waiter seemed flustered. Delayed our drink order. Menu deceiving. When I ordered a side salad, it turns out is is just a smaller version of one of their specialty salads, and that isn’t indicated on the menu. The burger information did not indicate the size, 1/4 lb or 1/2 lb, for example. We asked for take away boxes and only one was brought . We had to ask for the second. Once I paid the check we never saw the waiter again, we had to ‘grab ‘ another server as she went by to receive a needed take away box for leftover dessert item.
