   We went for our anniversary dinner. Greeted by hostess wishing us a happy anniversary, and shown to our table where a lovely card with well wishes was sitting. The food we ordered was immensely tasty, with a variety of tastes and textures. We do not eat meat, and the vegetarian bao buns were incredible, with a special shout out to the hamachi Kama which was recommended by our server. The fish was the perfect combination of butter soft inside and crunchy outside, with a riot of flavors in the sauce. We will definitely be back!

   Had a wonderful dinner at Sandfish to celebrate my husband’s birthday. They created a custom cocktail for him, I had an old fashioned and each drink had fun designs stamped into the ice. We had the spicy tuna tostadas, Sandfish roll, smoked salmon Philadelphia roll, and the mango, cream cheese, and avocado roll. I’m not big on sushi, so I always look for something with crunch to break up the texture of the fish and rice. The Sandfish roll was covered in delicious crispy potato shreds, along with spicy mayo and eel sauce. It was exactly what I’m hoping to get every time we go to a sushi restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious and we topped it off with amazing espresso crème brûlée. We will definitely be back!

   Dinner was amazing! 10/10 would recommend trying the Wagyu Roll and Sandfish Roll! Loghan our server was a sweetheart & she made our experience at Sandfish a night to remember. If you like drinks, you should definitely try Freydis or Summer Solstice.

    Damn! This place is awesome! We didn’t want to like it because the prices were pretty steep. However, we’ve dined in twice in and had take-out twice in the last few weeks. If you are a true fan of quality sushi… this is your place! If you judge a sushi bar based on the quality of the Hamachi… this is your place!! Add a beautifully appointed decor, and super friendly servers! Goodbye Nobu, hello Sandfish!!

    Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The rolls are pretty much Nobu price which was nothing fancy for 26 a roll . The ambiance was decent . Over all I think the food was over priced for what you get .

    I am not the type of person that loves seafood, I normally would never even touch raw fish or anything of that nature, but sandfish had me surprising myself!! Everything (and I mean everything) was amazing!!! The tuna tostadas were to die for!! Their food made me want to try all the things I normally would never, so so so good!! The ambiance and the decor in the restaurant is so relaxing and wonderfully done. 10/10 recommend for whatever occasion!! Yum yum yum, thank you guys so much!! A special shoutout to our server Gali, 10/10 service as well.

    This place is another hidden gem in the Melrose District. Really chill vibe and delicious cocktails (Sandfish Old Fashion & Calcifer). Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms were delicious but the Wagyu Signature Roll and greens with the avocado vinaigrette was the bell of the ball. Chased with a pistachio ice cream.....perfect finish!     Came here before prom with my boyfriend, who loves sushi, but I usually have a hard time finding something I like. However, everything was AMAZING! We had edamame, japanese pork bao buns, chicken dumplings, the sandfish roll, a tempura california roll, and matcha cheesecake. I also got a mocktail, but it was still around $100! Looking for something personal yet unique, this was the perfect place. We sat outside in the back and it was nice and peaceful, plus the staff were very friendly and they all complimented us on our outfits and made sure we were enjoying everything. He liked it so much that he just made a reservation there for Mother’s Day! Such an amazing place :)

    We ate at Sandfish because we had heard great things about their food - but had also heard a lot of negative things about their service (including from reviews on this app). We ate there Friday 04/28 with a party of 4, and Logan was our server. First, I’ll say that we had outstanding service! Logan was super friendly and attentive, and helped in making recommendations. Drinks were delivered promptly and the cocktails were beautiful. Appetizers were total stunners - the jalapeño poppers are a must, along with the beef gyoza. We ordered a few sushi rolls and the Hamachi cheeks, and all was amazing. Food came out in a timely manner and we left happy and full. I think they have addressed the issues with service and are striving to be better. We would return any time.

    What a wonderful evening! The menu is so innovative and expertly prepared & plated. Dining here felt like dining with great friends as the staff are so friendly & genuine.     I’m not sure why so much has changed since I was here last but the miso soup I had a few months ago was the best miso soup I’ve ever had and now the mushrooms are no longer in it and it was really really heavy on the seaweed so it just wasn’t the same and I had really hyped it up to my guest then had to awkwardly explain it’s different this time.

    The environment was nice, but the food really was overpriced. I’ve had better sushi at hole in the wall mom and pop places that cost half the amount and had twice the flavor. Hopefully their food quality improves. There is a lot of competition now a days and there just wasn’t anything that wowed us enough to go back. Ambience was nice tho.

    Great experience! Wonderful staff. Great menu-we loved it all especially the cauliflower boa buns and the octopus with edamame hummus. The sashimi was some of the best I’ve ever had! A great new addition to Phoenix.we’ll be back!

    The food we ordered was tasty and great overall. My wife ordered the house wine which she enjoyed and I went with the old fashioned which turned out to be exquisite (hats off to the bartender). We ordered a sampler sushi platter and an octopus plate, the portion size were on the smaller size in comparison to let’s say Kabuki, but still fulfilling. The place was elegant yet cozy, but a bit loud for my taste. They did have an outside area and I believe they are pet friendly in the patio, so we may take our dogs to get a bath next door and then bring them over with us when they’re done. Although the selections were a bit overpriced in my opinion, the overall service and food was great for our occasion.

    Sadly service and wait time was really bad. Took over 30 mins to order, 20 mins longer to get our drinks, wife got her first dish and I didn’t receive any of my order for another 30 mins. Fish quality was mid grade, price point was top tier. Unfortunate as we were really hoping sandfish was going to deliver and be our new sushi spot 😢

    We love seeing this new addition to our neighborhood and were so excited to try it out! We had dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday and Sandfish did not disappoint! We started with the brussels sprouts and they were so delicious! We then shared "The Experiment" roll and the pork bao buns and they did not disappoint. So many unique and well balanced flavors, it was a highly enjoyable meal! We sat on the patio and I was nervous about getting chilly, but they had a fireplaced and well placed heaters, as well as offered a complimentary blanket if I requested- but the heaters were so well placed it was a comfortable temperature and the patio was so quaint. Lastly, our cocktails were DIVINE! We had a "custom" cocktail where we picked our spirit, noted we wanted it sweeter in nature and a few other details and the bartender did not disappoint. Overall it was a great experience and we are already making plans to go back!
