   The quality of the tea and the tea sweets and savory quite nice. Biggest issue is the piped in music which made conversation extremely difficult without raised voices. Low marks for value. The afternoon tea is normally $58, but the purported Cherry Blossom Tea was $75 which included only one glass of champagne and not even a regular glass of champagne, rather a smaller version. How do I know this? Our table ordered a bottle of rose champagne and the glasses brought out with it were 1/3 larger than the tea's glass. Valet parking free with dining at Sante which is not advertised. Go for a regular tea, don't do the special as it wasn't that.

   While the food was okay, I was underwhelmed by the service (though they may have been under staffed that night). Additionally, I would not qualify this as Mediterranean beyond the starters. Furthermore, while the food was good, it was not on par for the price.

   The food was quite spectacular, but the ambience is missing. It's really like a hotel bar lounge. It's just not the ambience that you would expect to match with the food. If that's your vibe, you'll find this to be a lovely place. Definitely recommend the smoked old fashioned.

   Very nice experience. I attend annually with either family or friends. Loved the food and customer service was exceptional! Only one issue. It was a little crowded in our area; individuals were a little loud during their conversations. I will still plan on attending next year.

   I brought my friend visiting from out of town and we had an amazing time! We came for the cherry blossom tea and everything was gorgeous and tasty. Our server, Dino, was very attentive and professional. From start to finish, this was a lovely experience

   The food was outstanding, and our server was gracious. Service was attentive without being overly so. We were in the dining room, and there was a lot of noise coming from the bar/lounge area, but it was a Friday night, so perhaps some noise was to be expected! We felt this was a bit on the expensive side, but for a special occasion, worth it!

   Had a great time celebrating my friend’s birthday. Our server was Rafael. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we were ok at all times. Jose was assisting with table cleaning and he also made sure we were supplied with water, coffee, and made sure he was clearing up dishes and cleaning the table as each course of the meal arrived. I am definitely coming back. It’s the perfect spot for conversations as the noise level is very low, the food is very tasty and the service is excellent

    Our overdue valentines date 🤍 we both hadnt had a day off since before valentines, but we were able to bring our baby with us on our date and the staff was very accommodating. The hostess sat us at a large sofa table and it was so comfortable for my family. The food was amazing, we had the charcuterie and I chose the pasta. the cabernet was excellent & the sparkler is pretty strong. I would definitely come back for another date night! Thank you to all who made this night special for us!

    We went here for Valentine’s Day, we were excited to try this place. When I made the reservation, they gave me an option for Valentine’s Day special and it gave me the choice to say no, I typically don’t like Valentine’s Day specials because you don’t get to enjoy their regular menu. So since it gave me an option to say no, I figured we will still be able to order from the regular menu. However that was not true, we could either order from the special or a very limited menu. I was thrilled to try the porterhouse steak however that only came with the valentines special. We told the waitress in that case we will have to go somewhere else since we were not too thrilled about the special they had. We emphasized that we were not upset but we just choose to try somewhere else. Our server Hayat was VERY NICE! She told us to wait, went and got her manager Lindsay to explain the situation. Lindsay was a pleasure to deal with, she WANTED us to celebrate valentines dinner with them. Even though they do not make changes to the special menu, Lindsay made exceptions for us to try only certain things from the special menu and not pay for the entire special. Our serves Hayat was such a pleasure! She was so friendly and accommodating. The manager even came by couple of times to check on us. Overall I give 5 stars mainly because of the professional service we received from Lindsay and Hayat, they are superstars!

    Frequented 5 before it became Santé’. Enjoyed the same level of service. Our waitress was right on point and was very personable . My wife and I had a very nice dinner and evening. The food was excellent.

    One of my new go-to restaurants! Everything was exceptional and the best Branzino I've ever had. They're located in the Ritz Carlton, which is easy to get to via car or metro and the perfect treat after a day of shopping in Pentagon City mall.

    We returned to stay at the Ritz to celebrate our anniversary and a birthday. Return vist to Sante was awesome, as it was a year ago. The pork chop is very good. Has a great ambiance with fantastic Mediterranean food. Excellent service. Great corner table. Thank you!

    Our party of four included a vegan, pescatarian, meat-eater and one who likes it all so we were not an easy group. We ordered four different appetizers to share and four entrees. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, the service was slow and unattentive. Some dishes were great (loved the citrus on the olives, hummus and the branzino) while others were good but not remarkable (shrimp saganaki, scallops, cauliflower entree). I do recommend you check the bill carefully. We asked to split it 50/50, but both couples were charged the full tab, which was quickly corrected.

    Seated at 9:20 PM for NYE fixed price $129, 5-course meal. By 12 Midnight to ring in the New Year we had only been served an 'amuse bouche' and soup. We left. How Ritz-Carleton could allow their reputation to be so damaged by such restaurant mis-management is beyond me. Never going back, ever.

    I was there for New Years Eve experience, and everything beginning from service and ending with food quality was extremely disappointing. Waiters appeared rushed with a vibe “don’t you dare to ask for anything”. So we didn’t. Food was atrocious, cold soup, boiled oysters(instead of grilled), burned and overcooked fish. You can get better food from a frozen dinner. And at the end, they unceremoniously included 20% service charges, and had a nerve to expect tip after that. Also, be aware there is a local and state tax of 10% at that location. I don’t think we’ll be going back.

    For 2 for early dinner NYE. Lobster bisque was sub par, dinner portion was largely veggies with three well prepared lamb pops but everything was sitting is a huge puddle of au jus. Dessert was amazing and had amazing presence. Over all 6 courses was good but half of the experience/ courses fell short of my expectation. I would be happy to visit again for dinner but not for a multi-course night/ special occasion.

    Many of the foods were marvelous. The open faced cucumber was pretty but bland. The presentation was on point. Two people in our party did not like their teas and we probably should have asked to have them replaced. The service was lovely. Perhaps a pianist would have enhanced the ambiance.

    I was disappointed with the Holiday Tea. Not worth the price. Also as another reviewer noted the ambiance and decor was nothing special, not festive at all. It guess what was I expecting, it's a hotel restaurant.

    We went for Holiday Afternoon Tea. The tea was delicious, as well as the tea sandwiches and baked goods. Our waitress was very friendly and good about recommending different teas. We tried the blue eyes and chai teas. Both were great! Highly recommend this experience! We will definitely be back!

    I’m glad I went to Sante. The food is made from scratch. The speed of serving is a bit slower than I expected. The servers are nice though. The interior design is mediocre. Overall good. I might go again.

    I went here for Christmas dinner. It was awful. The food was greasy and cold. The wait staff, though polite, didn’t even replace the used flatware. The ambience is poor and the restaurant was empty. It was really a disappointment for a restaurant that is located in a Ritz Carlton. There were only two of us and a 20% “service fee” was tacked onto the $100 per person price fixe and they had a blank space for a gratuity. At any price, this restaurant is not even worth your time.

    I took my 6-year old granddaughter to the Christmas Tea. The food was delicious (kids and adult food), the atmosphere throughout the Ritz was festive, and she was thrilled with the sparkly Teddy Bear that was waiting at her place. The staff engaged very sweetly with the kids. Fun experience and nice memory!

    Holiday tea with my daughter and granddaughter. The dainty tea cakes both sweet and savory were excellent as was the service. Our waiter was so attentive to us. I was a bit disappointed with the room set aside for the occasion. It’s nothing special, nearly utilitarian for this festive season, not in keeping with the expectations for events at the Ritz Carlton.
