We had a great time at Sap. Under its old name it was my daughter’s favourite. And she still loved the bannock box and featured spread.

The space felt very safe, the staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was good. It was a great way to warm up after skating at City Hall.

Our poutine was tasty but not hot enough.
My turkey burgers guacamole tasted sour .I scraped it off but the bun was wet from it. Onion ring wet too. Didn't eat my bun or onion ring. I told the person who picked up the plates that I didn't enjoy it. They said they would talk to the cook about it. Still got charged. The servers were lovely though.

You need a sign outside. We called while standing at the corner. We’re told go left. Called back when we still could not find it. Then given correct information. Ordered drinks and food. Drinks came well after the food. Staff seemed confused.

Perfect location for a meal afte shopping and before a visit to the rink at Nathan Phillips Square.
Service was attentive and thoughtful from reservation to actual service.
We were eating with small children who were well cared for but the food was a bit heavily spiced for them.

This was the only place we can get in in DT.
This was formerly known as Bannok. The menu had been updated that includes good selection of V and GF options. We had calamari for starter and it was spot on. The streak (medium) was also just right. The price is very reasonable. We would return for sure.

The food is fantastic, unique and delicious. We had excellent service and the experience was so comfy as well as high end, which is hard to do. I would recommend this restaurant any day and I have to say, they have a lot of new and great stuff on the menu!

Drinks were ok but we could not stay and eat because the place was so unclean. Several flies surrounding us constantly, dirty floors and silverware and the washrooms had not been cleaned in days it seemed

If you're looking for a burger with a bit of bite, try the brisket. Served up with peameal bacon and a slice of cheese, the brisket burger is a welcome change from every restaurant's go-to item.

When I mentioned to the server who was filling our water glasses that one of the number one rules in the food service industry is to never rest the jug on the glass. The response was not what I expected. He proceeded to tell me he was an EMS and knew what he was doing. I tried to explain that there was a great deal of risk when you touched the jug to a glass that a customer already drank out of especially given the current public health concerns. He dismissed my concern by turning away while I politically speaking with him.

I have decided the next time this happens I will promptly let management know and ask them to explain this concern to the server themselves.

The restaurant food was very good. Hopefully there customers don’t get so sick that they can’t come back.

Myself and five friends went to Bannock before attending a Mirvish show. We made a reservation about two weeks before. The server was very attentive and even as guests arrived sporadically and late, she was always there to ask them how they were and take their order. She was training someone as well and he was great. We very much enjoyed our time there and will be back!

A delightful spot to eat in downtown Toronto! Handy for the opera (we come from out of town) and a unique menu with many a Canadian delicacy! Everything from traditional Chicken Pot Pie to a lentil chili and more. Had to try the Bannock appetizer, which was just bannock and hummus -- too much for the two of us! Mains were great (steak and lentil chili) with half price wine on Wednesday to wash it down. Butter tart for desert was tasty, but not sure why it needed whipped cream on top. Looking forward to an excuse to get back there. Delightful servers every time we have been there.

Service was poor, our server was very slow, and he. Seemed didn’t know what he was doing. He almost forgot one of my friends order, I had to remind him while he was standing behind the bar. I’m not sure if he was new. The food was ok, the portion is very small for a Full Canadian Breakfast and very expensive. Is it because the owner is a well know Canadian Restauranteur? Not sure.
The second part was the guy serving the food, O asked for Tabasco and he repeated, you want hot sauce? Tabasco is a hot sauce isn’t it?
Maybe will look
For another place next time for brunch.

Honestly, for a restaurant that’s in the core of downtown, expectations are much higher. We had the montreal burger I think, and their mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was mediocre, but the burger was not good at all. Atmosphere was 8/10, but servers weren’t very attentive. Also circulation was pretty bad and the entire restaurant smelled like foods coming from the kitchen (I had to wash my sweater after because it smelled like onions).
