   Ceasar salad? Should state made with kale. Turkey burger looks like from Loblaws, and cold. Brisket burger reheated not freshly grilled. Too bad for an Oliver bonacini restaurant totally underwhelming

   This is a very comfortable restaurant in the middle of downtown - right across from Old City Hall. It is affordable, with an interesting menu, great service, and quiet enough to have real conversation.

   The Bloody Caesar’s were way to hot and there was nothing to say they would be extra hot. The manager was very accommodating and brought us new drinks with the hot on the side. I had the avocado toast. It came on a plate that was too small so everything was dropping on the table. I requested a larger plate. The waiter hovered a bit too much filling water glasses, clearing plates asking if we needed anything. He was very nice but needs service training to find the balance between service and in your face.😊

    The service was superb. The menu was okay. There were Canadian touches but it could have gone much further. For example, my friend had the fish tacos. Was the fish an iconic Canadian fish? Who knows. And even if it was haddock caught off of Newfoundland, that would still be haddock. What about Northern Pike? Maybe Lake Winnipeg Whitefish? Even Newfoundland Cod is pretty iconic. When you say fish in Newfoundland, everyone knows you mean cod. The prices were okay for the mains, but if I'm being charged $12 for a butter tart, it better be big enough to share. Not that I would.     We ate at SAP twice for lunch while we were in Toronto. It was very conveniently located near the Sheraton so it was easy to pop over for lunch. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Both meals I had were very good.

    We had an amazing experience at Sap. We loved the ambience, the variety of choices on the menu, our friendly and knowledgeable server, and the delicious food we enjoyed. We highly recommend coming with friends and digging in and sampling great takes on Canadian Comfort Food at it's best!

    I really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely be coming back! The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was really mellow. I especially liked that when I ordered my tea, the mug was heated! It’s small touches like this that I truly appreciate.

    Our server was fantastic and very knowledge about the menu. We enjoyed some happy hour prices on select drinks. Even with the happy hour prices some of the drinks did not have the value for the price point. The calamari was amazing and the best dish we had. Cooked perfectly and good choice of dipping sauces. We ordered the chicken pot pie and brisket burger with poutine. The chicken pot pie was good but not great. The burger and poutine was also just average. For the price point I feel our food was below expectations. The service was fantastic though and I would return just for that.

    Walking in, it had a great laidback vibe! The decor made you feel like you were at a friends cottage, so did the staff! Food was outstanding, next time we are downtown, this place is on the list! (Happy hour drinks were an unexpected bonus!! 🍻)

    We had a very disappointing lunch service today at Sap. When we arrived, the front half of the restaurant was basically empty. We ordered immediately (3 salads) and a poutine dish. While the poutine arrived as an appetizer would, we waited and waited and waited, inquiring on more than one occasion, where the salads were. Everyone who had been seated in the meantime around us, had been served what appeared to be much more complex orders. The table was not properly cleared. We were constantly asking for basic things (ketchup for fries, salt and pepper) that should have been offered. We will not be returning. A very unfortunate experience.

    This was our first time at Sap. The food was delicious and we will definitely be returning. The French onion soup was my favorite.. It was made so well and the cheese ratio was perfect. I only wish the bowl was slightly bigger. The maple glazed salmon was delicious as well, perfectly cooked salmon with a nice maple glaze drizzle. Do not forget to try Sap’s hot apple cider, I was skeptical but amazed when I had a sip. Bammm awesome food!!!!

    Had the Winterlicious menu. It was good (potstickers, seafood risotto and figgy duff), however service was lacking. Waiter never checked up on us and it wasn't that busy.

    We attended during Happy Hour and Winterlicious and had a wonderful experience. Our server Julia was outstanding, the food was terrific, and the ambience was great. It was quieter than when we had attended in the past, likely due to eating midafternoon on a Friday. I have always loved eating at this restaurant when in Toronto.

    Great Canadian-focused comfort food. I had the chicken pot pie and my companion had the fish and chips. Both were excellent. We also shared the Bannock box. It was so good, I added one to go to serve with the takeout Tourtière I purchased. Prices are fair and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
