My daughter and I had a wonderful experience, the service was excellent, love the truffle butter, the food was delicious. Highly recommend the seafood platter. Thank you Sash for the 5 star treatment! We will be back when we are in town next year.
Exceptionally creative menu superbly prepared and served.
Excellent meal in fine surroundings. Coffee/tea service could have been a little more nimble.
Very good food, classic with a twist; perfect service, knowledgeable, formal yet friendly;beautiful room with well spaced tables. We had a wonderful evening!
Fabulous elegant neighborhood restaurant!
Best meal I have had in sometime at a Toronto Restaurant. Would highly recommend. Will definitely go back.
The food was fantastic.
Toronto needs more restaurants like this! Delicious food, beautifully presented. Wonderful service.
Lovely neighborhood restaurant.. Fois Grais was absolutely delicious.. Can’t wait to go back.
A memorable visit. Service outstanding and attentive. The food was ad astra. The lemon pie both visually outstanding with fab taste. Main course of beef tenderloin with risotto incredible.
As with our first visit this latest visit was
Impeccable. The specials choices might have made the absolute list first choices white-noisey but they were well sold to us and of course delicious and beautifully presented.
Our waiter was really tying his best as he was learning a complicated playbook. Kudos to the management for trusting someone so obviously capable and so new.
Had the zuccini blossoms - arrived hot and fresh...had the chicken which was dry...needed some kind of sauce or gravy.... Though I was getting mashed potatoes but I got 2 french fries instead... The mashed would have helped with the dry chicken
The white wine came at room temp...sent it back...
Most of the food was delicious however one dish was under seasoned and not at all tasty which was communicated to the server. Nothing was offered or done to resolve.
We were there for lunch and Will definitely return for dinner. Excellent in all regards!
Service was excellent, food was very good. Ambiance is lovely, had a table by the window which was great to see what is happening outside. would definitely be going back
I had booked a birthday dinner at Sash for my husband, after watching the news piece on Sash & reading some nice reviews. I had mentioned the occasion on the booking, Yet the table given to us was awful at one corner against the window, it wasn’t even a space meant for having a seating, I had to slide in to get to my seat. The service on our table was very slow. The food was good, but at that price you expect a much better ambience & service. It certainly wasn’t a fine dine experience and a spoiler to the celebration we had expected. The lighting is really dull and music is more like a noise. Disappointed
Poor choice of music - too loud and too much disco - needs a sophisticated music system to match the vibe
Open kitchen and bar noisy, background music unnecessary, and selection at odds with sophistication of dining room; portions slightly larger than necessary; service if anything overly attentive; cell phone use at tables not discouraged.
Fantastic. Service was wonderful. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. Bathrooms are really nice - roomy and clean. Loved meeting Sash after dinner. Will definitely be back and recommend!!
We were aficionados of North 44 so were very pleased when Sash finally opened. Our evening did not start out well when the white wine we ordered for an aperitif arrived too warm. They waiter didn’t seem to understand that white wine should be well chilled. He poured us a thimble full to try and we asked him to chill it. After 15 minutes we realized the same wine they serve by the glass was chilling right by our table. We wondered why we were weren’t offered a glass of that wine. We never did see the sommelier if there is one. We had to ask the server for a bottle of red, he never asked it we wanted more wine.
Our dinner was very good so we will go back. However we found the service iffy. Maybe it’s growing pains but for the price the service should be better and it’s not for lack of numbers. There seem to be a lot of staff not sure of what they’re doing.
I also think it’s outrageous charging $15 for valet parking!
Overall a nice new place in the hood. A couple of things which I hope are constructive.
1) I found the place too noisy for my liking. 2) The lighting could be improved. There is way too much light coming from the kitchen. Might suggest putting something across the top of the kitchen pass through to eliminate the glare of the kitchen lights. 3) The food was really great (delicious bread and truffle butter), except I have to say my Nova Scotia lobster was watery and a bit tasteless.
Loved Sash and his food since North 44. Very happy that he has his own restaurant now. My client used to go to North 44 as well so he was pleasantly surprised when I brought him there.
Had a great client lunch there today. You knew the meal would be good once you tasted their baguette and truffle butter. Halibut and Chips were outstanding. Service was great today. Will return to try the rest of the menu!
Nice dinner out! Great menu!
Unbelievable experience, Chef Sash a genius
Dishes are delicious; good portion and attentive service. Had a very nice evening dining with my husband.
The restaurant looked very charming... Sash came out and shook our hands, the food was just wonderful! We left feeling that we would definitely suggest Sash to our friends!
Food and service great. Good to order extra sides.
Love, love, love this new restaurant! Food was A-m-azing!!! Glad to have a new spot in the neighborhood!! Scallops/Shrimp meal was delicious, presentation is amazing, also had the Lobster main - equally fantastic.
We attended Sash for a milestone birthday celebration. Dinner was amazing the menu has such a variety of favourites it was difficult to decide. We sat at the bar prior to dinner and enjoyed great cocktails. Service was quietly attentive which in my opinion is sign of a well run front of house. My only small criticism was disappointing truffle fries... the flavour was there but they were soggy.
Phenomenal. Haven’t been this impressed with a new restaurant in a while. Visit from Chef Sash before meal was a very nice touch. Will be back again!
I came to Sash with my nine year old daughter. She’s a picky eater so the server suggested adapting the gnocchi dish and provided lots of warm bread and yummy truffle butter. The manager also suggested the Fever Tree ginger ale. A step above the regular soda. She was in heaven. Chef Sash also sent out a special treat for her while our mains were being prepared. I had the Sash burger. Every bite was juicy and amazing. The ground chuck & brisket with the froie gras torchon and Brie cheese was so decadent. My daughter ate up her gnocchi with truffle frits.. yup, more truffle. It was an unforgettable lunch date for us. Thank you everyone for making our Daddy, daughter date so memorable. This’ll be a new tradition.
Oh ya!!! And the chocolate soufflé for dessert??? Come on!!
Sash continues to make his mark and his new restaurant is a testament to his love for food. My starter salad and veal tenderloin were superb as was the creme brûlée that I had for dessert. My group ordered different dishes and everyone was not disappointed. Bravo Sash! You should be proud of your newest baby! We loved you at North 44 and are thrilled you are back.
A new restaurant in our area, and my wife and I enjoyed our first visit. Excellent food, attentive service, but only an average ambience.
Really excellent food, very tasty, nicely presented, will definitely go back again!
Loved every single bite!!!
We absolutely loved this restaurant! While I read that it was a great place to celebrate a special occasion, our family of four just went to enjoy a great meal on a weeknight. The space itself is gorgeous and inviting, the staff were outstanding and very attentive without being too overbearing. We had two children with us, which I was a bit nervous about, but the staff welcomed them warmly and made us all feel very comfortable and at ease.
Every dish was stunning visually and so delicious -- I can't wait to return and try more of the menu. The zucchini blossoms were especially delicious, I highly recommend trying them if you can (so light and airy!) Great wine list with lots of options offered by the glass.
I would absolutely recommend Sash for a special occasion or just a great midweek treat. It's the epitome of accessible fine dining. I'll be back frequently.
Sash was empty at lunch. A fine looking room with good service and unfortunately rather mediocre food at high prices. A lobster roll was mainly bread and a few ounces of lobster without much taste. A Cobb salad looked fine but was meh. Coffee was good, but a $100 tab--one beer, one glass of wine included--was more than slightly outrageous.
Great service from the top if the house down. Good value for a restaurant of this class.
