   Food & service good but music is way too loud and annoying. Could not talk with dinner companions without practically yelling. Couldn’t converse easily with server. It was awful. Just way too loud! Headache by time we finished dinner. Will not be returning due to loud music!

   Had reservations for 7:30, checked in at 6:50p enjoyed a drink at the bar. Waited a long time and was about 7:50 before we were seated. Manager tried to keep us informed about wait which I appreciated but I think they were under staffed. Food was not hot when we got it.

   Very nice dinner at Saul Good! Appetizers were amazing, pizza was amazing, service was excellent. There was live music even on a Wednesday night. My only recommendation would be to dim the lights slightly, it was bright. Highly recommended; we will come back soon!

    We were 10 min late for our reservation due to unforeseen circumstances. I confirmed our appt more than once via text. When we arrived, there was no one to greet or seat us. A line formed before and after us with about 10 people waiting. After about 5-7 min a man whom i was told was the owner comes and says “how did you sneak in on me?” Then he proceeds to scorn me like a child telling me I’m late and he gave our table away. He offered to seat us at the bar and we an accepted that. Then it took 10 min for a waitress to come and offer us water/drinks. Soon after, the man who previously scolded us for being late was observed to go to a table to clean it and yelled “ok, so I’m doing this!” Apparently, it was t his job to clean the table and he was t happy and let the entire restaurant know it. The restaurant was almost full and very busy, but he was acting unprofessional. I haven’t been to Saul Good and was disappointed that the food I went there for is no longer on the menu, however our food was good. I’m not sure we will return, however.

I am sorry that you took my joke about "sneaking in" as a scolding - I was absolutely joking and deflecting the fact that I was so busy that our team couldn't keep the door. I see that now maybe my tone was off. We were unexpectedly slammed and while it was a good problem, our team was having trouble keeping up with it. I had been there since early in the morning so I was probably exhausted. I'll work on my communication and hope you come back to give us a try again.

    Food was ok. The fries are too spicy for kids. My wife did not like her salad either. It took us a really long time to get our food. Don’t think we would go back. Seems really understaffed.

    New ownership, so it's not the same Saul's. Host and waitress were wonderful, and they explained what happened. We went on a Tuesday at 6:15, and they had patrons at 3 tables, so we knew something was up. The menu, which used to be very nice and full of choices, has been paired down to a fraction of what it was. A lot of our favorite dishes were gone. The food was just ok, nothing to rave about. We started with the Beer Cheese Nachos, a very sad showing serves on aluminum foil. I tried the Big Cheese Burger, tasty but strange. My wife had the Hot Chicken Sandwich, which was small in size and average in flavor. We finished with a Hot Fudge Brownie in a skillet with ice cream. Very tasty, but the unchopped pecans were a bit much. All I'm all, very average. I give them no more than 6 months before they close for good.

    I haven’t been to Saul Good in several years and have always loved it. I don’t know if it’s under new management or ownership but it’s just not the same and the food is not as good. The service was great and they were fairly busy on a Saturday night but the menu offers very little healthy items and the flavors aren’t there. Maybe it was an off night.

    Just bit the same Saul Good we remembered and loved for so many years. We have now given it 3 times this fall and winter hoping the new owners would improve. Food is mediocre at best.. even with some same recipes, quality and taste is hot the same at all! The fries were always our favorite part and those jay look similar… but not even close. The temperature was so hot we had to take a layer off! They said they couldn’t do anything about that. All the charm and character from the precious decor is gone, it is stale, plain, and so not fabulous. Beers are 5.00 for a Bud light! So not worth it for this place. The dessert was so underwhelming. It’s sad. This place is not Saul Good. It is an imposter and I can’t see how it will make it much longer. That was our last visit for sure.

    Very disappointing experience. I used to really like Saul Good , but haven’t been in a couple of years. It’s honestly gone WAY down hill. We got the beer cheese steak nachos as appetizer and I wish I Had taken a picture. It’s was a joke. About ten chips, with about 6 ‘bits’ of steak and maybe half the chips had a smearing of beer cheese. We also got the fried Mac and cheese balls, and they were actually pretty good (3 large balls). We all got sandwiches/burgers. They ranged from really bad to decent. Fries were okay, though not how I remember them. Our service was decent, our waiter tried and made a good effort. But he def has too many tables as the restaurant was pretty busy. Seemed like a classic case of cutting all corners possible to make up for rising food and labor costs. I get it, and I feel bad. But it was very disappointing. I’d rather pay a few more dollars and be impressed. Six of us ate for $160 with tip. The meal should be more satisfying at that price. We won’t be going back any time soon unfortunately. Also, we played trivia while there, which was fun! I think they drag the games out a bit too long, but I know that has nothing to do with Saul Good. Prob helps to bring in a decent crowd. I’d recommend it!

    The southern fried catfish is the best in the region. It is crunchy breaded perfect, then tender and moist once you dive in. Served with excellent lightly seasoned french fries, and delicious coleslaw. Win, win, win! My wife had the saul meat pizza and it is a perfectly tasty meat pizza crispy on the edges, she shared my fries and we had an excellent evening. The band didn’t start on time but was still entertaining watching them set up.

    We did brunch. you should, too. Kill me now while I am still reveling in the flight of mimosas. Also, what kind of weirdo makes a crab rangoon pizza? I want to build a shrine to that creative soul. Delicious is far too tame a word for it.

    I consider Saul Good a restaurant, not a bar. I expect to be able to have a conversation with the others at my table without difficulty. There was live music, which can be very nice, however, the volume of the music was too loud. We were seated in the back, I can not imagine the volume close to the front.

    Highly recommend. Food and service are excellent. Not an expansive menu but enough to provide a variety of selections. Friendly and attentive staff. A variety of live music styles to satisfy most tastes. Try it once and you’ll come back again, I promise.
