Fantastic meal. Excellent service. I'd probably make an effort next time to request a table further away from the kitchen but that's minor a quibble. I went to Saveur for the food and the food did not disappoint. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

Such a lovely restaurant with incredibly kind staff. Food was excellent - even our 6 year old gave it the ol’ thumbs up and said that it was “spot on!”

Saveur brings the same level of creativity and flavourfulness of their dinner menu to brunch. Same quality ingredients, but bring your breakfast appetite as they ratchet up the portion size. You will not leave hungry. Everyone there seems engaged in providing the best dining experience and the front and back runs like a finely-tuned machine. Worth the price!

You will not be disappointed if you appreciate the chef's effort to deliver courses that excites all of your senses and the staff's effort to introduce and deliver an enjoyable dining experience. We felt neither rushed through our courses nor left waiting/ignored.

One of the best most nuanced meals I have had in years. Had the tasting menu and had to ask for more time between courses so we could savour the flavours
(We were not being rushed)
Service was as outstanding as the food.
A memorable meal

From the time we were seated until we left the servers were so attentive explaining every dish on the tasting menu as they arrived, the flight of wine that had a pairing for the dishes was explaind in great detail of the flavours and how they went together. Our cab arrived and it was time go.

Hi

We did love the restaurant and the food was fabulous. However it wasn't warm enough. We also loved that it wasn't as noisy as most restaurants although the music could be a little lower - nevertheless enjoyed the choice of music

A nice man took our coats when we arrived and since we arrived at 5pm we had our pick of seats and sat right next to the window -lovely. I had left a note on the reservation that I have some dietary restrictions.. I’m very sensitive to sugar and I am eating a low carb diet to deal with certain health issues. The waitress confirmed my restrictions and we talked about what menu items would be most suitable. There was some back and forth about wether sugar in the marinade or a wine reduction would be okay for me. I usually err on the side of caution but since I already felt like I was being difficult I said that the jus would be fine It wasn’t simple but we got through it. I ordered the beef carpaccio and the mushroom dish. The beef carpaccio was delicious! The mushrooms, however, arrived deep fried in chick pea oil and accompanied by fingerling potatoes. It looked delicious and was presented beautifully but I sent it back as I couldn’t eat the majority of the dish. Then I just asked for the chef to make me anything on the menu, he just needed to make it low carb and sugar free. The waitress came back with the cod with a few modifications. The actual fish was delicious but whatever was underneath was inedible, and the smoky sauce around the edge of the plate didn’t add anything either. I ate the fish, told the waitress it was good because I honestly felt terrible about making such a fuss and we payed at the front counter. They forgot to give us our coats back and when we asked they handed them to us, one piled on top of the other.
Overall it wasn’t bad, I would imagine that if I hadn’t had so many dietary restrictions it would have been better... but for the amount we were paying I did feel a little ripped off. It didn’t feel like a high end experience and I was bothered by the chef’s inability to improvise with dietary restrictions, especially given that we were the only two customers. Our waitress did her best but I think that the chef should have helped her out.

We had a totally wonderful dinner there before going to the theatre/ ballet. Our server was very knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful. The menu a la carte was fabulous and we didn't have time for the tasting menu but plan to go back and do that one day. The food was very inventive. The portions were the right size but I don't have a huge appetite. The dessert was out of this world. Overall, great experience. Of particular note, the decor was lovely and the lighting truly gorgeous, full of sparkles and gave nice atmosphere. A really enjoyable dining experience all round.

A friend and I both had the tasting menu. They were really good about adjusting the menu to my gluten-free needs. I didn't care for the dessert (a green tea breakfast bar) and to their credit they offered me another choice. Luckily I didn't need anything and could leave feeling (somewhat) virtuous. I would go again in a heartbeat. The service was fantastic.

Next time we will send back our bennies. Both were lukewarm. Tasted good. Salad dressing was too sweet--this is brunch!
Cafetiere is a bit pretentious, no? Or is it because we wanted decaf?
I have had piping hot brunch (huevos rancheros) there before.

The day we dined for brunch the restaurant was very quiet at 10 AM. We were seated quickly. The service was great with server being friendly and helpful. The brunch menu had a good selection. My wife had the duck confit eggs benny and loved them. I had the huevos ranchero and was not as impressed. It was tasty, but too many refried beans for my liking. All in all this was a good experience. Saveur Restaurant is nicely appointed inside. I have no doubt we will return.

Appetizer of cranberry scone was excellent. The food offerings were tasty and well-presented. I was disappointed in the service as we were the first ones there and the third group served, fourth group to leave. We were left waiting for 15 mins before someone came to clean up and give us a bill. Overall, overpriced for the food. Hangover Hash had several pieces of sausage and pork belly, mostly potatoes. Coffee was regular, nothing special.

Tasting menu never disappoints! Wine pairings are spot on, sometimes over shadowing the food, but the food stands up on its own as well. Delicious flavors and textures of each dish. And I feel leaving very satisfied! Savory and sweet, bitter and sour, crunchy and pureed, they have it all. Highly recommend for a special occasion....like a Saturday night with friends. Or a Wednesday, or Thursday...Fantastic service as well!

The food was fabulous, unfortunately the service was not. There were only two other tables in the restaurant and yet we waited to place our appetizer order, we actually had to get our servers attention. This could have been such a better experience if more attentive service was given. The food was outstanding but the service really left us feeling cold.

Robert, the chef, has reached new highs . we have been before, and were at saveur on opening night. the creativity, taste, style have all moved on...and the addition of some BC wines is not only appropriate but very good choices, although there is room for more...we were there recently with friends who have not been before and they were very impressed and pleased to find saveur...specifics: the sunchoke soup was OUTSTANDING, taste and presentation...and the beef carapaccio, which i have usually ignored at other places, because it is usually flat BUT not here, sliced appropriately thin, a beautiful presentation with greens...and of course the gnocchi...i only had 3 appetizers and delighted i did, they were spectacular
