Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar
Staff did a good job of social distancing given the circumstances. The expanded patio was well done and a good use of space. Food and service were both very good.
Very nice night! Love the food
The pasta came out clumpy and it was difficult getting service...when the floor manager came to check on us after we got our appetizer she was shocked to find out we enjoyed it...very weird service
would not recommend
It was a Birthday celebration for a friend.
The server celinea was awesome and went above and beyond to make our time there great.
Loved how the patio was spacious and the waiters are super friendly. Food was amazing atmosphere was great! Will definitely be returning.
Excellent fresh-cooked meals. Loved the Wednesday half price bottles of wine!
Great food and great service!
Food was good but the restaurant was very loud. I could barely hear the server when she came to our table and found it hard to hear my friends across the table from me. I got a phone call from the restaurant the morning of my reservation asking if I wanted to sit in the bar area or the dining room. I asked for the dining room and they sat us at the bar anyway. Two friends are pregnant and had to climb up to a high bar table. Not quite sure why they called to ask me if they were just going to sit us in the bar area anyway.
I will not be suggesting we go back any time soon
Servers were good. Pinot was excellent. Chicken Parm was too well done. Fettucine was undercooked, sticky and in a ball. But red sauce was excellent. Had met our nephew and his wife there for dinner, my choice. None of us had been before. Was disappointed in the meal. Charity bread was delicious. Our daughter has been to Scaddabush in Mississauga and she was impressed. Because we were there on a busy Friday night I will take that into consideration and give it another try on a less busy night.
Food outstanding ,service very efficient ,good value, atmosphere industrial, extremely noisy difficulty having conversations
I was extremely disappointed my pasta was served to me cold and when I sent it back they returned it to me still cold. I was then not in the mood to eat anything so I sat while my 4 friends ate their lunch. We were not offered dessert!
The manager took the price of my pasta off my bill but still gave me a bill for my drink. When I called her over again and advised I should not be charged for the drink due to my poor experience I was told I had the drink so it could not be removed from the bill.
I have worked in the restaurant business for over 30 years and found this ridiculous as I know it can be done and I have done it many times.
I will never return to the restaurant and I will make sure I share my experience with my friends and family which are very widespread . I am sorry this ended this way as I was very excited to give it a try and it ruined the experience for my friends as they felt bad that I did not have lunch.
Great dinner!! Hazelnut and butternut squash ravioli was delicious!
Great food and atmosphere. Not an extensive menu but everything we had was delicious. Quite a few specialty dishes. We will go back again.
The charity bread is so amazing. It’s worth the trip for that alone. The service was great, the food good and the parking was easy. It was a tad noisy for me with the buzz of customers and the music on top but that won’t stop me going back again. Love this place and will recommend it for a noisy gathering but not so much for an intimate date.
We truly enjoyed our dinner at Scaddabush. Our server was wonderful and she had a great sense of humour. Great time. Thank you.
Food and service was excellent!
Friendly service and a lively place that makes it a fun place to dine. Sadly the meal fell short of expectations with pasta that was way over done and seafood that was boiled rather then pan fried before being placed in the pasta.
They were more than happy to replace the dish only for it to be prepared in the same manner.
We’ll be back hoping for a better experience with the food as the service was top notch.
Highly recommend the gnocchi for dinner and the cheesecake for dessert ! We also enjoyed the polenta tots as a starter.
We were impressed with the “social” options on some of the items. We both wanted the gnocchi so we received a large platter family style at slightly less the price than two plates. We still had leftovers. The gnocchi were pillow soft yet perfectly browned. Delicious!
Was very happy with the food and service. Will return.
I would recommend Scaddabush but only to a younger group who can handle the noise level. The restaurant and food are great but I struggled to hold a conversation or be part of any conversations at our table because of the noise level. I guess this is just my issue. I wish I could handle it but I likely won’t go back. Despite the overall noise the DJ was playing great music.
One of my girlfriends and I had a great night out. We started by splitting the fried zucchini and then I ordered the roasted chicken with gnocchi and my friend ordered the butternut squash ravioli. Both meals were delicious except my gnocchi was a bit too al denote and seemed like it was one of those “packaged” gnocchis instead of being homemade, which they claim all their pastas are? I also really enjoyed the apple whiskey sangria that I ordered... food portions were huge so we were too full to order dessert. Would definitely go back!
Great food and service was good
Lunch with mom
Thé food and service were excellent. We just found it very noisy. They seem to turn the music up to drown out the talking but all that does is make everyone talk louder. They need noise barriers for sure. Otherwise it’s a great restaurant. If we return we’d try lunch or an early dinner before it gets so noisy.
The restaurant was very busy and even though we had a reservation, I was expecting a wait. We were seated right away. Lucy, our server, was very friendly and knowledgeable and when we asked about the pastas made in-house, about the mozzarella made in house as well. We were undecided about which meal to have and she was helpful and explained about them. Again I thought there may be a wait to get the food but it arrived promptly and got. Great portion too. I planned on taking some home but it was so good I ate it all. Overall a great experience. If I had to on small concern, it was a little loud but as mentioned, it was busy. Hope this helps.
Parking doesn’t seem to be adequate, as the lot was full and we had to park in another restaurant’s lot nearby. Tables are very close together ( at least where we were sat ) and it made for an uncomfortable experience to be elbow to elbow with another diner I did not know. Service was good. We enjoyed the burrata, a pizza and dessert. Half priced bottles of wine on Wednesday’s was a nice surprise. It is quite loud ( the music ).
All in all we will return.
Been to Scaddabush Burlington once before and enjoyed it. Ordered same thing I had before, chicken Parmesan with penne in a rose sauce. Took 1 bite of penne and it was hard! My friend tried some and said it wasn’t cooked. Sent it back and they made a new one. The penne was no different. I’ve eaten and cooked pasta for years and know al dente but this was definitely harder than that. I sent it back again and ordered what my friend has, gnocchi in mushroom truffle sauce which was excellent! Was told my meal would be taken care of but got bill and gnocchi was on it. Talked to manager, said she took off the 1st 2 meals but was charging me for gnocchi. I was not looking for a free meal but some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. My friend was
Everything was WONDERFUL and our server Dumptin was AWESOME!!!
I gave 3 bars out of 4 for noise level, but only because it was busy, already at 5pm on a Friday. Reminds me of Dolcetto in London, ON, which is our favourite local restaurant. 💗 I'd order a side salad with my gnocchi next time because although very tasty, it's nice to have a variety of mouthfuls throughout the meal. My partner loved his burger and upscaled fries.
I love Scaddabush, both its food and its ambiance. The mozzarella bar is impressive and delicious. I did not love my gnocchi (it tasted a bit hard and dense) but the sauce was incredible. I will just order something else on the menu. The meatballs are AMAZING. I will go again for sure.
Food was great. Way way too loud though- Why have a DJ blasting dance music in a restaurant at dinner time? Made it very difficult to hold a conversation.
Also, service was slow and left something to be desired.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. Started off with a pizza which was expertly prepared. Wine list was very varied and we chose an excellent Chianti. The menu offered excellent variety and we both enjoyed our entries.
Not impressed at all with the majority of the food. Service was good. Ambiance was quite lovely. But we had several issues and the appetizers were very disappointing. Won’t be back.
Good service & good food. Just wish they still offered the fantastic stuffed meatball they used to have.
The place was also very loud, probably because everyone had to shout over the so-called “music” in order to converse with each other. Come on, it’s a restaurant not a nightclub!
Scaddabush is an excellent restaurant. Their pizza and pasta are top notch. You MUST order a mozzarella ball as an appetizer.
Excellent service and food. We enjoyed our time there
Really enjoyed our meal but was week before Christmas so was very busy and therefore very noisy. Otherwise, food and service was very good. Will definitely go back. Liked the new decor since taking over from Canyon Creek.
2nd time here and definitely won’t be the last, service was great food was super.
The food was great! It was a bit too loud for us. Our waitress was soooo over exuberant it became a bit annoyingly funny but she’s trying I guess. We would definitely go back
