Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar - Front St
Our story is simple. Everything we can make fresh daily, we do. Including our hand-stretched mozzarella (made-to-order every day between 5pm & 11pm), our pasta, our signature 1/2 lb meatballs, our dough, bread and desserts.

We had a girl’s night out. The service was great. The mozzarella appetizer was amazing. Mains were very good (Zucca Ravioli is the best) although one was not very hot. Coffee was lukewarm. Would go back at a less busy time.
Normally the food and service is excellent. I guess it was just a bad day.
It was all great except the restaurant was overbooked so we had to wait an extra 20ish minutes for our reservation. Other than that it was a great experience
music extremely loud - 6 people at table behind me were yelling so loud to be heard.
The food and the service were great - the noise level, however, was terrible. The music was way too loud and this caused the patrons to shout t be heard. We could only hear the person beside us - and only then if we were talking very loudly. 2 of our party of 6 had quite severe headaches by the time we left.
Returned for the Mozzarella appetizer ! Outstanding! Dan did an outstanding job of welcoming us on this return visit and servicing out needs. Excellent dinner and service at Scaddabush Front St.
I will be looking forward to my next visit.
Great restaurant, would have liked a bit more time between courses.
Have eaten at several times before latest visit was not up to par. After a long wait, our appetizers came out at the same time as our entrees. All of our food was luke warm at best. Pizza and polenta tots were cold. Pasta was lumped together after what must have been a long wait under the heat lamps. A disappointing experience, to say the least.
Excellent food. Very loud.
It was great, the food was great too!
Good experience overall. Definitely would dine there in the future
I was given a dirty cup of hot water.. with pasta sauce clearly floating on top. I had also asked for it twice before it was brought over. The music was also extremely loud, everyone was just yelling over one another—I thought this was a restaurant not club. Not very pleased with the overall experience. The food was great though.
Convenient for a bite with kids. Other options were jack astors or Boston Pizza. I would not let my dog eat at Boston Pizza and Jacks food is boring.
This was a good option. Food was noticeably fresh.
I would go back.
Beautiful place. Gorgeous food, and service was great. Will definitely be back!
Nothing special, the food and service could use improvement.
Music level was too high. Required shouting across to guests to hear each other. Music choice was good but turn it down please. In addition, not sure why our hostess couldn't be found when we were wanting to pay our bill. She seemed to be spending more time back by the kitchen looking at her phone. Food was great, just need to work on the music sound level and service.
Food was good
Waitress was great but there was a lot of ‘up selling.’ And we were charged for refills (we didn’t ask for). On the one hand we’re glad she noticed the need for a refill. On the other it was another chance for an up sell.
Love the restraint and food , just wish they’d serve their signature mozzarella all day, as my visits are often in the afternoon . Was even told by our server that our mozzarella was just made for the spaghetti sorentina , so not sure why if they’re making it anyway im not able to order it as a starter 🤷♀️
I had a reservation for 2 people at 6:30 pm for dinner before the show at Roy Thomson Hall. We were seated at a VERY uncomfortable high-top table right beside (a) the pizza making station and (b) the back entrance. It was VERY hot and uncomfortable beside the pizza station. The chairs with the small round seats were VERY uncomfortable for a size XL woman and man. I ordered the avocado-bruschetta which was described as Roma tomatoes, sliced avocado, focaccia, goat cheese, basil oil. Given the avocado in the name of the dish I was very disappointed to see only 1 quarter size piece of avocado anywhere on the bruschetta. It tasted nice however it was very soggy. My husband had the Pesto Pollo Fettuccine which tasted nice but he was very ill afterwards which we could only attribute to the food he ate. Over a very disappointing experience.
Attentive service and excellent food well presented. Half price wine bottles on Wednesday. High noise level. Thank you Paul.
We had a family gathering here and it was outstanding.
Shrimp was burnt. Salad was mediocre and the soup could have been warmer.
I support your restaurant many times a month. The food and service was very poor and not to your normal standards
Excellent food and service!
Great food and fun ambiance.
Our food came quickly and the service was good. Half price bottles of wine was a nice surprise.
Verry good restaurant! The food is so good and fresh!! I recommend it to anyone who would like to try a good italian place with very good cocktails!!
The salad, pasta, meatballs and the pizza are all pretty good. Charity bread can be skipped though.
Very much enjoyed Scaddabush and it is good value for the location. Check out the "Social" sharing plates these would feed 3-4 but cost less that 2 normal plates. Good wine selection and we were able to take advantage of the 1/2 price bottles on Wednesday night. Worth a try for sure.
Food and service was outstanding . Our meal was cool so they took it back and didn’t just reheat it they made us a new one and also took 15%off our entire bill . Which we didnot expect.
It's not the first time at this restaurant. The service was great as every time but the food was not good . I had gnocchi but they lacked flavour and the cream and cheese sauce separated in grease and a white residue. The other time this pasta dish was great with a great mushroom flavour ( probably few drops of truffle oil). My friend had a mushroom pizza which wasn't marked as spicy on the menu but came with an entire hot chilly sliced and sprinkled over the entire pizza.
Please bring back the previous chef.
I went with a group of 6 before a show. Service was quick and drinks were great. Unfortunately, all of our meals were very bland. The pasta and pizza dough were very well made, but all dishes lacked seasoning.
Hubby and I went for first time on a Sunday night. Was surprised by how busy it was at 5.30 but we were taken to our reserved table almost immediately. Service was excellent and we both really enjoyed our Spaghetti and meatball dinner.
I had made a couple of requests and found they were very accommodating.
Looking forward to dining here again!
Slow service with subpar food, not what we were expecting, I’ve had better, not worthy the $$. Waited at the front for over 20 minutes with a reservation.
Went on a Saturday for Dinner. Reserved in Advance but was still seating in a very busy noisy bar section. I understand its Saturday 6:30pm & a leaf game was happening, so we would deal....But since we were seated by door, there was lots of traffic and we were freezing. Took a long time to order food/drinks and get water. Sent wine back as it was awful. Got food without cutlery. Cesear salad was blah, guest's chicken parmasean was delicious, my margarita pizza was just ok. We ordered a second margherita alcoholic drink, but were brought a second pizza instead. there are better Italian restaurants downtown but good out of convenience.
Great choice for a delicious dish of fresh made pasta.
Terrible service. Food was blah.
My second visit to this location and it was just as great as the first time. I ordered the fresh Mozzarella and Prosciutto to share with the table guests... delicious!
Enjoy the September weather on the patio for drinks and dinner.
Great service and fantastic food!
I will be back again!
The food was good for the price we paid. A good 'house' wine (the cheapest on the menu) . However, extremely noisy.
