Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar - Front St
Our story is simple. Everything we can make fresh daily, we do. Including our hand-stretched mozzarella (made-to-order every day between 5pm & 11pm), our pasta, our signature 1/2 lb meatballs, our dough, bread and desserts.

Beautiful place. Gorgeous food, and service was great. Will definitely be back!
Nothing special, the food and service could use improvement.
Music level was too high. Required shouting across to guests to hear each other. Music choice was good but turn it down please. In addition, not sure why our hostess couldn't be found when we were wanting to pay our bill. She seemed to be spending more time back by the kitchen looking at her phone. Food was great, just need to work on the music sound level and service.
Food was good
Waitress was great but there was a lot of ‘up selling.’ And we were charged for refills (we didn’t ask for). On the one hand we’re glad she noticed the need for a refill. On the other it was another chance for an up sell.
Love the restraint and food , just wish they’d serve their signature mozzarella all day, as my visits are often in the afternoon . Was even told by our server that our mozzarella was just made for the spaghetti sorentina , so not sure why if they’re making it anyway im not able to order it as a starter 🤷♀️
I had a reservation for 2 people at 6:30 pm for dinner before the show at Roy Thomson Hall. We were seated at a VERY uncomfortable high-top table right beside (a) the pizza making station and (b) the back entrance. It was VERY hot and uncomfortable beside the pizza station. The chairs with the small round seats were VERY uncomfortable for a size XL woman and man. I ordered the avocado-bruschetta which was described as Roma tomatoes, sliced avocado, focaccia, goat cheese, basil oil. Given the avocado in the name of the dish I was very disappointed to see only 1 quarter size piece of avocado anywhere on the bruschetta. It tasted nice however it was very soggy. My husband had the Pesto Pollo Fettuccine which tasted nice but he was very ill afterwards which we could only attribute to the food he ate. Over a very disappointing experience.
Attentive service and excellent food well presented. Half price wine bottles on Wednesday. High noise level. Thank you Paul.
We had a family gathering here and it was outstanding.
Shrimp was burnt. Salad was mediocre and the soup could have been warmer.
I support your restaurant many times a month. The food and service was very poor and not to your normal standards
Excellent food and service!
Great food and fun ambiance.
Our food came quickly and the service was good. Half price bottles of wine was a nice surprise.
Verry good restaurant! The food is so good and fresh!! I recommend it to anyone who would like to try a good italian place with very good cocktails!!
The salad, pasta, meatballs and the pizza are all pretty good. Charity bread can be skipped though.
Very much enjoyed Scaddabush and it is good value for the location. Check out the "Social" sharing plates these would feed 3-4 but cost less that 2 normal plates. Good wine selection and we were able to take advantage of the 1/2 price bottles on Wednesday night. Worth a try for sure.
Food and service was outstanding . Our meal was cool so they took it back and didn’t just reheat it they made us a new one and also took 15%off our entire bill . Which we didnot expect.
It's not the first time at this restaurant. The service was great as every time but the food was not good . I had gnocchi but they lacked flavour and the cream and cheese sauce separated in grease and a white residue. The other time this pasta dish was great with a great mushroom flavour ( probably few drops of truffle oil). My friend had a mushroom pizza which wasn't marked as spicy on the menu but came with an entire hot chilly sliced and sprinkled over the entire pizza.
Please bring back the previous chef.
I went with a group of 6 before a show. Service was quick and drinks were great. Unfortunately, all of our meals were very bland. The pasta and pizza dough were very well made, but all dishes lacked seasoning.
Hubby and I went for first time on a Sunday night. Was surprised by how busy it was at 5.30 but we were taken to our reserved table almost immediately. Service was excellent and we both really enjoyed our Spaghetti and meatball dinner.
I had made a couple of requests and found they were very accommodating.
Looking forward to dining here again!
Went on a Saturday for Dinner. Reserved in Advance but was still seating in a very busy noisy bar section. I understand its Saturday 6:30pm & a leaf game was happening, so we would deal....But since we were seated by door, there was lots of traffic and we were freezing. Took a long time to order food/drinks and get water. Sent wine back as it was awful. Got food without cutlery. Cesear salad was blah, guest's chicken parmasean was delicious, my margarita pizza was just ok. We ordered a second margherita alcoholic drink, but were brought a second pizza instead. there are better Italian restaurants downtown but good out of convenience.
Great choice for a delicious dish of fresh made pasta.
Terrible service. Food was blah.
My second visit to this location and it was just as great as the first time. I ordered the fresh Mozzarella and Prosciutto to share with the table guests... delicious!
Enjoy the September weather on the patio for drinks and dinner.
Great service and fantastic food!
I will be back again!
The food was good for the price we paid. A good 'house' wine (the cheapest on the menu) . However, extremely noisy.
We made the very best out of a somewhat disappointing experience.
We reserved over a week prior and let them know we were celebrating a special occasion. We arrived well ahead of our reservation and were then taken to the worst high table in the place by the open kitchen in a walkway. We asked if we could be seated at a table. We were then brought back to wait in line and were taken to a single table pushed up against a corner table for a large group. After we were seated a couple that walked in was brought to a spacious roomy 4 person table and served prior to us the entire night they were given superior service since their last experience was sooo bad ( we heard about it the entire time)
The server was friendly to us not nearly attentive.
The food was amazing and we enjoyed the evening but overall it was not the service or experience we were expecting for making a reservation for a special occasion.
Great food and service as usual! Making a reservation meant we didn’t have to wait which was wonderful since it was the night of the Elton John concert and it was packed with a huge lineup! Delicious as always and will definitely return again! If you haven’t tried the peach mango Bellini it’s a must try!
Very loud outdoor patio - sticky table quickly covered with extra linen napkins . Really good homemade Italian food! Tasty , filling and delicious.
Great food and environment for a night out with friends. Manager came around to check up on our meals and actually followed up to get a new one when our mozzarella ball didn't quite meet our expectations. Thanks for making the meal a great experience!
The service and food were amazing. Our server was very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed it a lot.
Great service great food.
Looking forward to our return.
I was a first time visitor but my guests had experienced Scaddabush previously. Sergio welcomed us and suggested the house special Mozzarella with balsamic vinegar and olive oil serve home made bread. Excellent. I will have to return to try the other three Mozzarella house specials.
All three meals were delicious. Definitely a return visit is in order!
The food was absolutely amazing!! Huge portions but I kept eating after I was full because it was so good! We did find our server wasn’t as available as he should have been but that was likely because we were on a time crunch to get to the baseball game after dinner. Overall a great experience here!
Wonderful food, fresh pasta and hand stretched mozzarella. Next time in Toronto, I’m definitely coming back!
We ultimately enjoyed our dining experience at Scaddabush on Front St. The food was tasty and our server provided good service. Where we took issue with our dining experience was checking into the restaurant. We showed up, having made a reservation for six people, a few minutes early. From the get-go, our presence felt like it was an inconvenience and an annoyance to those working. (We get it, it’s Toronto. We’re not expecting a warm and inviting welcome, but even a distant acknowledgement would be appreciated, especially when the restaurant was empty.) We we were seated shortly after at a table which appeared to be an over-flow table. It was situated at the entrance, in the middle of the main walkway into the dining room people adjacent to a server station. We the then asked the hostess to change tables where we then told every other table had been reserved and the restaurant was sold out for the evening. The hostess was uninterested in offering assistance and argued with us that nothing could be done. We had difficulty understanding the situation as the restaurant was fairly empty and we had made a reservation prior to arriving. We ultimately spoke with a manager who was later able to seat us on the patio. After which, we enjoyed the rest of our experience.
Everything was great except for the noise level - it was WAY too loud. Like it was a packed house, but the customers were only loud because we were all yelling over the music.
I have had two awful experiences in a row and will not be returning to this location. The food is mediocre at best and way overpriced for what you get. This location is also loud and service is poor.
After reading the reviews I expected more. I was disappointed with the food.
Buena experiencia general
Comida la mitad de los platillos
Muy buenos la mitad regulares
Mesero muy poco al pendiente
