Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar - Front St
Our story is simple. Everything we can make fresh daily, we do. Including our hand-stretched mozzarella (made-to-order every day between 5pm & 11pm), our pasta, our signature 1/2 lb meatballs, our dough, bread and desserts.
Winner of the TripAdvisor 2015 Certificate of Excellence.
Our hand-made 1/2 lb. Signature meatball, three-cheese sauce, piccante aioli, house giardiniera, focaccia bun
Butternut squash ravioli, Grana Padano, hazelnut butter cream sauce, fried sage, poor man's Parmesan
Lemon wine cream, garlic butter, roasted garlic, fresh basil, fried capers, piccante sauce, spicy poor man's Parmesan
Food was decent. Pastas were fresh, a little on the oily side by tasty. There was quite a bit of noise on the patio because of the fire station being so closeby but can't fault the firemen just doing their jobs!
A great night out on the patio! My seventh or eighth time at this location and my boyfriends first. We had a great server (Chris), he was attentive, fast and great at explaining the new COVID friendly ways the restaurant had changed their dining experience. Food as always was amazing, drinks cold and refreshing and overall a great time!
I was impressed with the service. The manager accompanied each guest(s) to the table, explaining the restaurant's covid policy and how they're ensuring that the guests and staff were safe. The server was prompt with our order, as was wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing at all times. The guest tables were at least 6 ft away from each other as well.
The food, however, was subpar - I ordered the spaghetti & meatballs. The spaghetti sauce was bland and very runny. It almost tasted like canned spaghetti sauce - and just added a touch of basil on it to make it look fancy. The meatball was dry - must've been overcooked. I have ordered the same menu at other scaddabush locations, but I do not remember it being this bad.
I would go back to this location but stick to drinks instead.
Food was excellent, tasty and good portion. They were utilizing social distancing so limited tables. We asked to have a drink before our meal but the meal arrived before we had a chance to finish our drinks. Because of this we felt rushed which detracted from our experience.
.Great. Close to Scotiabank Arena.
Pizza was good, service was good. We were there for lunch and got in an out in a timely manner. Would like to see more pasta options without a cream sauce.
Service and meal, as recommended by our server, was excellent
Food was SO good! We got the gnocchi and the fresh mozzarella appetizer and they were delicious. Our server Paige was also so kind, fun and energetic! Loved her!
Toronto Maple Leafs yearly game & visit with friends.
I booked a reservation for my sisters birthday. We had a party of 7, which turned to 6. When we arrived, the other part of my group had already arrived. I specifically mentioned it being a surprise... When we arrived the host said "Oh, we just sat the rest of your friends"... and proceeded to walk us there." This ruined the surprise... before we even got to the table.
With a booked reservation, I was pretty disappointed that we were put directly in front of the door, in an extremely busy section of the restaurant. We were surrounded by other large groups, who were close enough we could hear their conversations and had to move our chairs to let them go to the bathroom.. It seemed that they had "forgot" about the reservation, as my other party members said they could not find my name/reservation anywhere, even though I confirmed the day before. The weather that day was extremely windy and cold, and most of us had to wear sweaters for the meal as we were in the draft of the door....
The service was subpar... The waitress was nice, but seemed to be elsewhere most of the evening. We ordered food, and waited a regular amount of time for the food to arrive. Waitress on numerous occasions took our drinks for refills, and had to be reminded to bring our drinks back.. I overall felt like we were annoying the waitress and she had better things to do.
Food came out to table, quite slowly. We waited for 5 minutes for the last member of our table to get their food. The food itself was okay. Pasta was quite dissapointing, and very underwhelming. Member of our table had luke warm food as well. We were all too hungry to complain, or say anything.
I asked for my food to be packed up to take home, waitress proceeded to stack dirty plates inside of "unfinished" dish to be packed up, and immediately apoligized and walked away to pack up my food. I was completely shocked and grossed right out.
I do however, appreciate the desert that they brought out for my sisters birthday.
Fantastic service. Food was really good. Place was packed so noisy. Would still go again
We were seated near the entrance doors and had to endure with a cold blast of wind every time patrons came and went.
Requested to be moved but they could not accommodate us.
Others in the same are were also sitting there with coats on.
In hindsight we should have left and went elsewhere.
Server seems a little unhappy while serving. No smile and anything but other than that the whole experience was great
Thank you for taking care of my request! Best service ever! 👍
“New and improved” pasta is not improved at all. the butternut squash ravioli used to be waaaay better with crunchy sage and didn’t come with any sage.
Bread that came with the fresh mozzarella was stale, like they just burnt yesterday’s bread.
Worst meal I have ever had at scaddabush and I loved it so much before.
Server was great. High energy place, large servings and great prices.
Delicious as always
In TO for a Leafs game and heard great things about Scattabush so we tried it out.
For the most part it was good.
My pizza was really dry. The tomato relish and Mozzarella were absolutely incredible.
Only concern is that my daughter was the only one to have a Cesar salad and she was sick shortly after eating it. Coincidence maybe but made me wonder.
Bo was amazing!
Chelsea was amazing
We had a girl’s night out. The service was great. The mozzarella appetizer was amazing. Mains were very good (Zucca Ravioli is the best) although one was not very hot. Coffee was lukewarm. Would go back at a less busy time.
Normally the food and service is excellent. I guess it was just a bad day.
I loved the location, the food and service; a little bit noisy during lunch time.
It was all great except the restaurant was overbooked so we had to wait an extra 20ish minutes for our reservation. Other than that it was a great experience
music extremely loud - 6 people at table behind me were yelling so loud to be heard.
The food and the service were great - the noise level, however, was terrible. The music was way too loud and this caused the patrons to shout t be heard. We could only hear the person beside us - and only then if we were talking very loudly. 2 of our party of 6 had quite severe headaches by the time we left.
Returned for the Mozzarella appetizer ! Outstanding! Dan did an outstanding job of welcoming us on this return visit and servicing out needs. Excellent dinner and service at Scaddabush Front St.
I will be looking forward to my next visit.
Great restaurant, would have liked a bit more time between courses.
Have eaten at several times before latest visit was not up to par. After a long wait, our appetizers came out at the same time as our entrees. All of our food was luke warm at best. Pizza and polenta tots were cold. Pasta was lumped together after what must have been a long wait under the heat lamps. A disappointing experience, to say the least.
Excellent food. Very loud.
It was great, the food was great too!
Good experience overall. Definitely would dine there in the future
I was given a dirty cup of hot water.. with pasta sauce clearly floating on top. I had also asked for it twice before it was brought over. The music was also extremely loud, everyone was just yelling over one another—I thought this was a restaurant not club. Not very pleased with the overall experience. The food was great though.
Convenient for a bite with kids. Other options were jack astors or Boston Pizza. I would not let my dog eat at Boston Pizza and Jacks food is boring.
This was a good option. Food was noticeably fresh.
I would go back.
Beautiful place. Gorgeous food, and service was great. Will definitely be back!
Nothing special, the food and service could use improvement.
Music level was too high. Required shouting across to guests to hear each other. Music choice was good but turn it down please. In addition, not sure why our hostess couldn't be found when we were wanting to pay our bill. She seemed to be spending more time back by the kitchen looking at her phone. Food was great, just need to work on the music sound level and service.
Food was good
Waitress was great but there was a lot of ‘up selling.’ And we were charged for refills (we didn’t ask for). On the one hand we’re glad she noticed the need for a refill. On the other it was another chance for an up sell.
Love the restraint and food , just wish they’d serve their signature mozzarella all day, as my visits are often in the afternoon . Was even told by our server that our mozzarella was just made for the spaghetti sorentina , so not sure why if they’re making it anyway im not able to order it as a starter 🤷♀️
