Great service and food
Great experience as always at Scaddabush. We went after shopping at Sherway Gardens and it was a delicious meal and great service.
Has become a new favourite for our family! Kid-friendly! Great service!
When we arrived we ended up behind a group and they gave our reservation away to the group in front. We said we would sit at a high top table with two small children, because the table had been offered to those ahead of us in line. We ordered everything and the service was good but once the mains arrived the waiter did not come back for a very long time. When he came back he offered dessert and we said yes; however, a dessert menu never arrived so eventually we got one from the front desk. Also, at this time scaddabush must have reported to OpenTable that we missed our reservation while we were sitting in the restaurant because they had given the table to another group. Eventually we gave up on dessert and asked for the bill from the front desk because our waiter never came back. Normally have a great time at this location but tonight it was disappointing.
We ordered the balsamic mozzarella, primavera pizza, mushroom gnocchi, penne, tiramisu and jar chocolate cake.
Service was super slow. Our waitress didn't refill the water on the table, didn't come to check on us until we finished a course. It didn't feel like we were being attended to.
I didn't find the Mozzarella to be anything special. Gnocchi was very chewy and I could not find any mushrooms in that dish. If you want to have soft, melt-in-your-mouth, pillow- y gnocchi try the one at Beaumont Kitchen at Saks in Sherway Gardens across the street - that's the best gnocchi I've had so far.
Pizza was ok as was the penne. Desserts were typical too. Nothing extraordinary. 850 Degrees pizzeria on Lakeshore Blvd is my favorite pizza place - they have the best pizzas in the area and their desserts are very tasty too.
The place was very noisy. I had to scream to be heard. My voice was hoarse by the end of dinner. I would not recommend this place nor would I visit there again, if I had a choice.
The food was still very good and good value, but it was an extremely busy night and the kitchen seemed ill-prepared to handle all the orders coming in. We waited for a very long time to receive our food.
There were not many people at the restaurant during our reservation time - however the service was extremely slow and none existent at times. I have eaten at other Scaddabush restaurants in the past and had much better service and quantity of food. Same dishes that I ordered at other locations were prepared much better then what we experienced at the Sherway Gardens location. Overall it was not a pleasant experience.
Some of my party arrived before I did, when they told the host the name of the reservation, he told them that there was no reservation under that name. He was getting annoyed and even showed them the screen of his monitor and sure enough my name and reservation was right there. I get it that sometimes it can be overwhelming when it’s packed and busy, but maybe he can show a little kindness and not make us feel that we were making up reservations in our head. The waitress we had was amazing, again it was a busy night so it took a long time for her to come around and bring us our drinks and meal, other than that she was very courteous. The music was extremely loud, the last time I checked, this was a restaurant and not a night club. Most of the people who were dining in that night are families with small children. My guests and I could not even hear each other, the waitress kept asking us to repeat our order because it was just way too loud. We did ask for the waitress to see if she can ask if the volume can be adjusted which they did but after a few minutes just went back up on a higher volume. The food was amazing, this is probably my 6th or 7th time at this location and the food never disappoints, always consistent. Just took a long time to get to us.
it was very loud
Pasta was fresh, Pizza was delicious, Pork Sandwich, Parm sandwich we’re fine as were the Caesar Salads.
Appetizers came out at the same time as the meal. Which wasn’t great. No bread to snack on prior to meal. Would seem simple enough to offer.
Music was way too loud for an early afternoon lunch. Not many ppl in rest, music level dominated room.
As previous ppl pointed out, the lighting keeps changing. Bright, dim, dark. Was just weird and distracting.
Overall the food was good. Atmosphere and service could be better. Price was right for fresh made pasta etc.
Appetizers arrived 45 mins after we ordered. Egg Pizza was sloppy.
Scattabush sucks. Firstly, I didn't go there today- a friend made the reservation in my name as a prank bc she's knows I think Scattabush is an overrated big box with a hipster name; she was just bored waiting for a flight. But the LAST time I went it was dreadful. The food is bland, boring & tasteless. People that eat at these chains are ignorant of the good places to eat at. Another thing that was really annoying was 2 kids we're running around screaming the whole time. I would say they have bad parents but they were my friends kids at my table so I can't too be too critical.
I went to Bar Raval on Collegue last night and it was fantastic. The notion of following that up with Scattabush is absurd. But thanks for asking OpenTable. Happy Labour Day.
We were celebrating a birthday which we made known but nothing special was done about it. It wasn’t even acknowledged by the server.
The server seemed to forget about us toward the end of our meal and it took some time for us to get our bills.
We enjoyed a family sharing platter style with friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of updated menu features. Both kids and adults alike enjoyed sharing the freshly stretched mozzarella, zuchhini stacks and calamari to start. Service was attentive and quick. Mains that were a mix of Pastas and Pizzas were delicious across the board too!
Megan R was our waitress and she was fantastic. She went above and beyond our expectations.
The restaurant was far too noisy. It was impossible to have a conversation. Our server did have the music volume turned down a bit but it didn't help much. Our server told us that she often goes home with a headache after a shift working at the noise level. We all ordered salads. The two without an added protein came came out in fairly good time but the other four salads came about fifteen minutes later. We won't be back and we won't recommend it to anyone else.
Just a great all round time....food, service. Great for a date, family and every occasion
Great meal as usual.
Loved the live music on the covered patio.
Service was a lot less attentive than we are used to at Scaddabush.
We normally go to square one location, and the service and the food is a lot superior.
Appetizer meatball, had very little sauce on it, and was quite dry.
We all order pasta, and it was very heavy, unlike what we have had at square one, quite disappointing.. we were celebrating a late Father's Day.
It was to celebrate my birthday and Father’s Day
Unfortunately neither acknowledged during our dining by our server. It was very busy but food was exceptional
Father’s Day lunch!!
I have never been to this restaurant before. Walking in the music was very very loud. We had 2 in our party and we could hardly hear each other.
The small salad was big enough for two. I had the penne bolognese and it was very bland. My friend had spaghetti with shrimp and it two was quite bland. Service was good .
My 39th Birthday with friends
Great second time experience for the most part. Seemingly standard Canadian chain restaurant issues, no cutlery when the main/entree came after it was used for the starter/appetizer. Staff a little less attentive than expected. But the food quality was excellent and hot.
This was a first time dining experience for a birthday. it was a great time including service and food
We had an amazing time celebrating our friend’s bday. Coming back for sure. The mozzarellas are highly recommended.
Fantastic place for lunch. Elevated cuisine yet still very affordable. Excellent value for your dining dollars.
It was my first time in this location. I liked it a lot.. Food was great, service as well. Very nice place, will come again.
Their freshly made mozzarella is worth going there all the time!
Expensive for ordinary Italian food
Birthday. Great service. A little loud.
Always enjoy going to Scaddabush. Delicious and never disappointed
The positives: Good quality food for the price. The mozza appie was great. Service was very good too (Brandon or Brendan I think). Not so positive: The martinis were not good, not recommended unless you can tell them exactly how you want them made. Had to ask for olives. The worst part; we were seated in an area that looked and felt like a garage. Cement floors, white walls, empty and loud from the speaker above our table. No ambience. The other part of the restaurant looked really nice. I guess I should have asked for a different table. Wine overpriced. Having been once, I would go again. Ask for a good table and stick to the excellent food.
I've dined at this location with colleagues after work a few times, and I thoroughly enjoy the savory food, the relaxed ambiance, and the attentive service. The reason I rated the service during my recent visit as four stars only is because our entrees were brought to us just moments after we received our appetizers. Because we didn't want our entrees to get cold, we felt pressured to place our appetizers to the side in order to eat our entrees. The server who brought our entrees (she was not our main server) was oblivious to the fact that perhaps she was early. When we brought it to her attention, she appeared dumbfounded by our comments. If she had inquired whether she was early with our entrees, it would have been a different outcome since we would have assumed that she did not realize the inappropriate timing, as well as conclude that she is cognizant of how to provide proper service.
Portions are sometimes inconsistent (regarding different size pastas), but food and service was excellent
We went on Mother's Day the service was very slow
The service was absolutely fantastic; the food overall took almost 2 hours total though. Mixed feelings as front of staff was not responsible for the food production, but the food was alright though.
