Located on the main level of the riviera plaza hotel, we offer a modern take on Italian. Specializing in hand tossed pizzas and house made pastas.
Our pizzas are a 3 day cold fermentation process using a double “00” artisan flour imported from Italy. We’ve been awarded multiple awards for best pizza in YYC.
All pastas are made to order so no worries on any allergies, we will gladly accommodate any lifestyle including celiac, vegetarian and Halal.

The place is beautiful and simplistic but it’s far on the NE side. The service was good, the waiter attended the table as often as you wanted. The appetizers were amazing I would highly suggest the focaccia bread and shrimp but it it’s a different story with our entry. We tried their pasta here and it wasn’t good. Their Tomato sauce didn’t have flavour making the Pescatore really bland. I had the fettuccine Alfredo but the sauce was just cream, I didn’t taste a speck of any herb or garlic. Overall place is not bad, but due to where it is and that entrées being bad , and I probably would go to the other location instead.

Weird dinner. Started with a bang as the Bruschetta was amazing. Tomato's were cut coaster than usual Bruschetta with amazing oil and vinegar balance. Homemade bread was top quality. Then it went downhill with mains, veal marsala with fettuccine with veal somewhat overcooked over seasoned with too much caper and pasta seems to have been left standing for a bit. Same with the Parmigiana as the chicken cutlet tasted like it was a bit burnt with minimal taste. The marina pasta, rose vodka was heavy and way too much, probably to cover up burnt taste. Staff must have noticed our declining appreciation of the food and service dropped off. Interesting as it was not busy. Sounded liked they were catering wedding in hotel at that time and were probably focused on it.

The restaurant was so kind to accommodate us we had arrived late as we got lost on our bus and they were just minutes from closing at 1:30. Filomena and the chef were super sweet and kind and our sever, Filomena was so attentive and wonderful. The gnocchi had a delicious sauce and taste and my friend really enjoyed her avocado toast. We also got a cuppucino with oat milk and my friend would order it again and I loved the cranberry juice Simple and really bright and fresh! Would definitely recommend and come back and the space was super nice and spacious!! Thank you so much Scarpetta 😊

My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary dinner. Everything was fabulous. Service on point, food perfect. The prawn appy was exceptional, my husband and I were even fighting over the sauce 🤣

When we go out for dinner we look at reviews and good food and service are important. We understood they were fairly new in this location. After waiting just to receive the menu it took much proding to get service. Sometimes the food makes up for the service.... although the food was fine it was not as good as expected- it came divided by 2 and 2 (there were 4 of us) so some got cool food. Unfortunately, I don't think we will give them a second chance.

This little restaurant was great! For there only being 2 people on the floor, the service was pretty good. For the starter we shared a calamari, then got the gnocchi and a pizza, and to finish we had the pistachio cheesecake. The calamari was good, the gnocchi was soo delicious, the pizza could have been a tiny bit better only because the center of it was soggy, however, the pizza was very thin and the crust was much thicker (so it makes sense why it was soggy in the middle), but the taste was super good. The cheesecake was also pretty good. We sat in the lounge because it was a little more casual than the dinning area, we enjoyed it. The dinning area was very nice, open and bright. We made a reservation but we didn't really need to because we went on a Wednesday and we had an early supper (5:15pm). The sangria I had was also very tasty. Overall, for our first time being there, it was pretty good. I'd go back to try some of their other dishes. I should mention we went because we had a travelzoo voucher so we got the full meal for almost half off which was a great way to try a new restaurant.

We used to frequent Scarpetta’s when it was in Inglewood and we showed up one day with friends and it was gone! I was so sad. However, I’m SO THRILLED that they’re back! It’s like a long lost friend! Went with my husband and mother in law (80 yrs old and she ate her massive lasagna all by herself without any hesitation!). We all loved our meal and my heart is full again! The service, the food… 10/10 every.single.time! Thank you Scarpetta team. Job well done!

We went there to celebrate mothers Day brunch. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Overall service was very good. The atmosphere was a bit different than what is advertised on OT. We expected more of a finer dining, but it was a very causal family atmosphere.

My sister and I booked this place for a Mother’s Day brunch. The overall experience was honestly just okay. Service took a long time to come around just to take our order and even just to bring coffee and tea. They did apologize but moments prior, I saw our server chatting in the corner with a colleague, not really doing anything. The food was not the best- nothing special and easily achievable by any home cook. The environment was very noisy, perhaps the way the space is, the sound seemed to bounce off the walls. Children were very loud. As advertised as an Italian place, nothing was particularly Italian for breakfast. We probably won’t be back again. The pricing was fair.

I don’t normally complain but everything was bad. There was hair in 2/5 dishes. Additionally 3 people were served, and then the other two about 10 minutes later. Food was cold, server was not attentive. All was terrible, we will not go back.

We were there for an early dinner so the ambiance was nothing special. It was bright from sunshine and is quite an open bright space. The service and the food made up for that. OMG it was really, really good. My sister had the chicken parm and the portion was huge and delicious. I had the butternut squash ravioli in brown butter. It was delicious although a little too oily for me. Probably just needed more of the delicious freshly baked focaccia to soak it up! Overall, it was fabulous and I will definitely go back!

Ordered waffles benny. Eggs were poached hard, would have been better soft. Was supposed to come with Prosciutto but got deli ham instead. Breakfast potatoes and coffee were good. Nice atmosphere. Overall just okay. Price point is too high for quality.

What a great experience. I dined there with my family on New Years and the food was just amazing! The brussel sprouts and the risotto were my favourite! We ordered cannolis for desert and they were the best I’ve ever had. I’m very pleased.

You guys need more employees. And room needs more colour: red. And it's not cozy like a proper Italian restaurant, gets some Art, gets some colour, and maybe some drapery for the windows. Really great food though guys, just spice out the atmosphere; also maybe lay off the rap music, Italy has enough great music without that.

Delicious food delivered to our table pipping hot which is much appreciated on a cold winter’s night in Calgary. The Inglewood pizza was on par with any from the best pizza restaurants. Gnocchi was creamy with lots of cheese and truffle oil with a pillowy dumpling. Appreciate the good service from Darren!

When I think about dinner out, Scarpetta at the Riviera is always my first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert to the wine menu, the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding. Service was delightful and very professional. I will return again and again.

We really enjoyed our experience. Our waitress was Natalie. Right away we liked her. She greeted us warmly and energetically. She had great recommendations on the menu and clearly believes in the restaurant, the chef, and the food. Her enthusiasm told us that we were in for a good meal. Both of us are dairy intolerant and there was plenty for us. I had the Tropicana pizza. I was going to order it without cheese and instead went with the vegan cheese option. The crust was soft and the pizza was flavourful. It was great although I want to go back and try it cheeseless because it was THAT good. My hubby ordered a sausage pasta option without dairy and gobbled it up with a smile. Natalie and a manager (I think?) were attentive, assuring we were happy with our meals and helping with whatever they could. We were very happy with the experience and are going to rebook another visit for another date night in the near future.

It was so great see Rocco had re-opened Scarpetta. The food and service as always is exceptional. We had the prawns and focaccia for appies then the gnocchi and the chicken cutlet special. The special was so good and was a huge portion for a great price. Can’t wait for the 10th ave location to open!
