We have been here several times. Always had à nice diner. This time was no different. Service was not as smooth as it used to be. I’m guessing staff problems as we See them everywhere ?

Lovely lunch, food is very good. Dover sole is delicious 😋 Numerous people talking very loudly on cell phones and FaceTime in the dining room. I may be old school but I find this intrusive and detracts from my dining experience. I go to a restaurant to dine with the people with me, not those on the phone.

We were sat by the window and my guest was blinded by the sun. The couple next to me moved table because one of them was blinded. No curtains or blinds?? Service was poor. My wine was put in a bucket far away and we could not get anyone’s attention to pour it. We ended up leaving half the bottle and going to the Audley for a drink.

Wonderful warm welcome. Staff throughout friendly, helpful & efficient. Unfortunately 1 x girl about 5 years old made lot of noise & slowly spat out a large mouthful of smoked salmon in full view. Otherwise all else great. Scallops sheer perfection ditto the duck. Vanilla panna cotta with an espresso coffee the ideal ending.

From the Panama hatted doorman spotting us 50 yards away & giving a great welcome we were awash in human kindness, humour & great service. The food too was delicious. Of special note being the eel. The Pomerol on offer by the glass is a delight.

Went to celebrate a birthday. Perhaps it was just a bad night. Staff were not remotely friendly and seemed to be trying to hurry us along to get the table back. Food was fine but nothing remarkable or even memorable. Generally we were disappointed.

Wonderful quality ingredients, best sweetest prawns I’ve eaten(Dublin bay) All hard to fault creamed spinach just the right amount of cream so the spinach is the star. Lobster Thermidor sweet and delicious and Dover Sole de-boned so well there was no waste. Fantastic

Food is excellent but it took a long time to get our main course. The cover charge, which has been around for ever, is an insult. It covers a few pieces of bread and some butter and then you have to tell them not to take it away prematurely. Noise level is very high making it difficult to have a conversation in some parts of the restaurant.

Terrible food ! The bisque was awful n I left it after taking a bite … the lobster Thermidor was as bad ! The worst was the steamed spinach ! It was really really one of my worst meals in London
