    Our waitress was very sweet. The food was delicious and a great spot to catch up with an old friend. We ended up staying over 2 hours and the service was great.

    Wonderful service and very good food. Prices were fair in comparison. The tables were small and the room was quite loud, it’s what to be expected but still a bit disappointing.

    Sushi was wonderful not so much the other choices. I had halibut and didn’t particularly love it. My husband said the lamb was so, so. We enjoyed our evening though. The place is lovely Our only complaint was the music was awful seventies stuff and gif irritating.

    As always the service was great and the food was fantastic. My entire family has the same opinion. It's one of the best restaurants in the city. Nice combination of a relaxed outside patio with a little touch of elegance on the inside. 5 stars from us. Cheers

    Appetizers were outstanding. Duck bao, crispy tuna rice and the fried chicken. We could have simply eaten multiple plates of those and been happy

    Great location on the water to see the ships passing by! Outside dining with awesome fire tables. Food was delicious with a lot of options. The biggest issue was our Server, we had to ask other Service-Staff for her many times to request food and drinks. It could have been a very busy night / short-staffed, but I've never had to hunt down a Server five+ times in a single evening. I would think that after the first 3 times, they would get the message and at least check in a bit more frequently.

    The sushi was delicious and very reasonably priced. It was fresh tasting with an explosion of flavour in your mouth. Portions sizes are generous. Their cocktails were also delicious and we enjoyed the complimentary edamame dip with fried wontons. A nice touch! The server was attentive and very pleasant. Overall, a great meal in an upmarket atmosphere. Will definitely return.

    The food is very delicious. The service was abysmal . We were a group of 5 people with a 7:15pm reservation. Our food arrived at 9:12pm!!! The vibe was less than awesome as staff appeared to be very unhappy and stressed and over worked. Zero friendly staff. We felt like they resented all the customers and I am a local. I brought friends visiting from out of town and I regretted it. The manager offered no apologies and made a ton of excuses saying it wasn't his fault as many of his staff were sick and he had a staff shortage. Across the street, the night before our same group of 5 had an awesome meal from another local restaurant who also has similar staffing challenges and the experience was so much better! (The Bicycle Thief is awesome). I don't recommend this place because you really have to wonder why the staff are so miserable.

    I dined here on a very busy Saturday night and the staff worked very hard to make sure everyone had great service and a great experience. Food and drinks are excellent and the fire tables that are outdoors add warmth and ambience. Having this by the waters edge is quite magical!

    It was my first time dining at Sea Smoke. We ate outside thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere. It was a lovely evening and the fire table was an added bonus. The food was delicious, we both enjoyed; however, the service was very slow taking away from our experience, unfortunately. We also heard others around us complaining as well. Not sure if staffing was an issue. the servers were very friendly but they just seemed to be all over the place, will give the restaurant another try definitely for the food.

    It was our 31st Wedding Anniversary. The mussels are the best in Halifax. The broth the mussels came was like soup and I consumed every bit of the broth. My wife had the fish chowder and she loved it, rich & creamy. The Black Mamba Sushi was outstanding and truly the Best in Halifax.     Nice ambiance, beautiful view of the harbor with boats coming and going. Fire table was nice and made us linger. Service was a bit slow, busy night though and the food was excellent . Over all a very nice evening out.

    Absolutely wonderful experience, nice wine selection, great service, we had sushi which was outstanding, my step dad loved his lamb, and on a note of service my moms halibut was over cooked (no big deal accidents happen) and they promptly fixed the situation. I’m visiting from Montreal and I would absolutely return. Thanks Stephen and team!
