   Used to love this place. Terrible food this last time. Won’t be returning. Ordered 65 dollar steak med well, delivered to table burned to a crisp. The expediter definitely saw it and so did waitress but still gave it to us, thinking we wouldn’t notice/care???

    This was definitely the most disappointing meal we have had in a while. The menu was challenging for a vegetarian, especially with an allergy, and when asked if the allergen could be removed from a dish, we were told by the server that they didn’t want to ask the chef. 😳 The filet was just okay and the service was mixed with a couple of mishaps. The one thing that was entertaining was that the person who brought our bread dropped a piece and just ignored it like it didn’t happen. We didn’t need the missing piece, but we did pay for it- the bread isn’t complimentary. Overall, we just wished we had made a different restaurant choice.

    We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. I dined here in March of 2021 and had amazing food and terrible service, so I was extremely happy that they have brought the service up to a better standard. Our food was very good and our server Eric was very attentive. We all loved the cocktails and these may have been the highlights! I will definitely be back! And the patio seating is lovely! At night it cools down enough with the fans to be a great experience!

    EXCELLENT experience. Top-notch five star service. Amazing food. Definitely try the smoked old fashioned for not only a great cocktail, but a drink that causes the entire restaurant to pause and see the smoky delivery! Steaks are tasty - sauces are good, but you don’t need them, as the steaks can stand on their own. Don’t sleep on the bread service either - best in the area by far. Can’t recommend this venue enough.

    Jeffery was an excellent server and very knowledgeable about the menu and preparations. Illyana (supervisor/manager) was also very engaging and accommodating. It is evident that the staff is well trained and holds high expectations of their service standards.

    One of the worst dinners we’ve had. The food took well over an hour to come out. Our steak was cold and under cooked. The tile fish and branzino were way over cooked and were not edible. We sent the steak back and 15 min later they brought another that was also raw instead of medium rare. The manager apologized again and agreed it was not appropriate. She then brought the original steak back out that was still raw and appeared to have been tossed on a skillet for a few minutes. 1.5 hrs later we left extremely disappointed. There wasn’t one food item that we ordered that was worth going back for. If you are looking for a steak house or good seafood , this is not the place.

    Having eaten here before, this trip had high expectations. The starter we chose was the octopus and it was prepared excellently. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and the chef nailed it. My son got a lobster tail and crab. He loved both (and yes he can be picky). Sad to say the s’mores bread pudding is no longer on the menu. Overall a great dinner.

    This is my 5th time dining at Sear & Sea, and I've given 5-stars the first 4 visits in every category, so I truly believe the negatives during this visit are a rare fluke, but with so many choices nearby, enough to no longer call Sear & Sea my 'Go-to' restaurant when I have VIP guests visiting from out of town. The Pro's: The Host and Hostess were welcoming, knowledgeable, and charismatic. Our server Diego was incredible. He was an expert on the menu, and had a great personality. The Octopus, Mushrooms, Brussels Sprouts, Steak Tar Tar, and Seafood dishes were superb. The price was excellent as well, Slightly less than $500 for 4, 2 of which had wine. The Cons: While our server was great, he seemed nervous, or "off his game". Spilled a drink, and the broken glass wasn't attended to for what seemed like a long period of time. Also, he said to "leave room for dessert" as we were celebrating, and dessert would be on the house. I assume he forgot, as nothing happened after that. He did offer a drink replacement, but the spilled drink was brought from home and irreplaceable. The servers assistant lacked hygienic accountability and etiquette, as she forced our feet out of the way with a dry-mop. The NY Strip was cooked perfectly and flavorful, but I happened to get a bad cut, as there were very few pieces able to be chewed through easily. This is not the restaurant's fault, just a rare luck of the draw when it comes to steak. Overall, when bringing special guests to our home location in Lake Buena Vista and eager to show off our choices of culinary excellence, we'll be removing Sear & Sea from our list.

    We had a great family dinner at sear + sea. We were staying the JW and needed a last minute dinner reservation. We are so glad we came here. Our server was Diego and he was incredible. He was so attentive to all of our needs and had great knowledge of the menu. He really interacted with us and we enjoyed our time with him! All of the food and drinks were amazing. Great wine selection. We loved the smoked old fashioned, smoked scallops, and the rosemary bread with the garlic and goat cheese butters. The kids loved the kid salmon and mac n cheese. Even the adults liked the kids mac n cheese. Steaks were good (and organic!). The filet was better than the ribeye in my opinion. For sides we got truffle fries and carrots.. both amazing!     Had the filet, and it was OK. For the price I think you get a better flavor from Texas Roadhouse. Boss Lady had salmon and was very happy. Puree potatoes were good as one side. We also had Brussel sprouts which I liked, but the portion was huge. Not a bad thing just seemed slightly wasteful . It was a great evening with my wife overall. Knowing a little more about the restaurant we would probably split the meal next time.

    Ian best waiter. We had excellent service and the food was amazing. I’d say as we ate here three evenings in a row. We’d prefer at least one traditional desert on the menu. We skipped desert bc of the menu desert items weren’t interesting to us. We loved it.

    Check the menu before you go. This is a very expensive restaurant but the food quality and service don't really live up to the prices. For 30% less I would give it at least 4 stars. Service was spotty, a rare steak had to be sent back and took 20 minutes to be remade, side dishes were served cold when they should not be. Our other steaks were overcooked but edible. The restaurant was perhaps 60% full when we were there, early evening, and very noisy. Odd things that were too hip for the room - for example, when we asked for salt, the server brought a rock of salt and ground it over the steak. He did not ask if anyone else wanted any, and no salt or pepper were left on the table. We did not order wine or other alcoholic beverages and I got the impression he was less interested in us from that point onward. Steaks should have been Ruth's Chris quality and were definitely not. Did not try the seafood entrees so we cannot comment on them. Ultimately, he took the three side dishes off the bill because I think he was trying to apologize for the steak that had to be remade - that was a point in his favor. But for the prices charged, the food should have been outstanding, and it was not. Beautiful place, but food and service were not up to the appearance or prices.

    The expectations were high as this is a more upscale JW Marriott hotel in a resort that also includes a Waldorf Astoria. The restaurant is nice looking and had a mild smell of a wood fire. We were seated immediately and our assistant server came over and introduced herself, followed by our waiter. We were always addressed as Mr or Ms ‘X’. Our drinks were brought over quickly, our order was taken but that’s where the great first impression stopped. It was 45 minutes from the time we were seated until the appetizers were brought out. We had to ask if there was any bread for the table. The manager, who was very nice brought over the olive loaf bread with an amazing house butter. She heard our complaint about the slow service and the the food came out quickly after that. The NY Strip was not the typical cut us NYC area people are used to. It was a very thick cut and was not juicy as would be expected. I don’t know if this is a Florida thing but I am not used to Lobster Mac and cheese being made with Rigatoni versus Elbows or Shells. Normally I don’t like to be bothered a hundred times by the waiter while I am eating but our waiter was no where to be seen during dinner. The manager did come over once to see how we were enjoying the food. For the price charged and the initial impression I had much higher hopes sitting down at the start than I did getting up at the end.
